Many times, strength often represents a person's status. Therefore, when Li Dan, the lord of Sky Star City, learned about Ye Huan's identity as a Fourth-Level Summoner and observed the expressions of those around him, he deeply understood that Ye Huan was undoubtedly a "potential stock," the kind worth investing in. He pondered what military rank would be appropriate for Ye Huan. 0

After hesitating for a while, Li Dan made up his mind and smiled as he spoke, "Since this battle was largely due to Weiyang and Ye Huan's contributions, according to Huaxia Nation's military rank regulations, both of you are hereby promoted to Centurion from this moment on..." 0

Centurion? According to Huaxia Nation's military ranking system, a Centurion must have killed over a thousand enemies to earn that title. While Weiyang had indeed killed over a thousand with his Fourth-Level Mixed Magic at Abandoned Wall, when had Ye Huan ever killed that many? 0

Everyone present understood the situation clearly but no one dared to point it out. On the contrary, Ye Huan himself seemed somewhat indifferent to the title of Centurion. What occupied his mind was the fact that he had not experienced any change in strength after becoming a Fourth-Level Summoner. He wanted to find an opportunity to talk with Durei IV and see if he could gain anything useful from him. 0

Soon enough, the opportunity arose. After the awards ceremony concluded, Li Dan inevitably pulled Zuo Yi and Gong Weiqi aside to discuss why the Southern Xiongnu Empire had launched a large-scale cavalry attack on their stronghold. Meanwhile, Durei IV cast a glance at Ye Huan and walked toward the door. Seeing this, Ye Huan hurriedly followed him, and the two quickly exited the conference hall, standing in a corner just outside. 0

"Ye Huan, let me ask you: have you gained any special abilities since reaching Fourth-Level Summoner?" Durei IV asked directly once they were alone. 0

Special abilities? This was precisely what Ye Huan had been struggling with. Without hesitation, he replied, "No!" 0

"No? How is that possible? Every Summoner gains a unique innate ability upon reaching level four; how could you not have one? Quickly, show me your Summoning Book." Durei IV appeared quite surprised at Ye Huan's response, disbelief written all over his face as he instructed Ye Huan. 0

Naturally, Ye Huan would not hide anything from his teacher. Without further ado, he summoned the 2012 Arms Compendium into his hands and presented it to Durei IV for inspection. Meanwhile, he pondered what innate abilities might entail. 0

The 2012 Arms Compendium was quite large—Durei IV had helped Ye Huan summon it from within himself initially. Since it was sizable, Durei IV had taken a closer look at it back then and was somewhat familiar with it. After thoroughly checking Ye Huan's 2012 Arms Compendium for any changes and finding none, Durei IV looked somewhat astonished and then took out his own Summoning Book: the Summoning Encyclopedia. 0

Holding the Summoning Encyclopedia, Durei IV pointed to a cloud-like mark printed in the lower right corner of its cover and explained to Ye Huan about his innate ability: "Ye Huan, look at my Summoning Book; there’s an obvious mark resembling mist here. This is my innate ability gained upon becoming a Fourth-Level Summoner—Phasing..." 0

"Phasing?" Leaning forward to get a better look at the cloud-like mark on the lower right corner of the Summoning Encyclopedia, Ye Huan scratched his head in confusion, not understanding what phasing meant. 0

Noticing Ye Huan's bewildered expression, Durei IV realized that since becoming his apprentice, Ye Huan seemed not to have learned anything useful. With a sigh, he flipped through several pages of the Summoning Book and summoned forth Hell Serpent—a creature Ye Huan had seen before. 0

Then Durei IV did not retract the Summoning Encyclopedia but instead placed his hand on the cloud-like mark in the lower right corner of the cover. 0

In the next moment, a miracle occurred. 0

In Ye Huan's vision, the figure of Hell Serpent gradually seemed to be enveloped by a mysterious mist that drifted in from nowhere. As the mist gathered more and more around Hell Serpent, it vanished in an instant, as if the mist had never existed at all. 0

"Hey? Where did Hell Serpent go?" With wide eyes, Ye Huan suddenly realized that just at that moment, Hell Serpent had disappeared simultaneously with the mist that had come from nowhere, and he asked in surprise. 0

"This is my innate ability, Phasing. It allows me to conceal the summoned Summoner's presence so that others cannot detect it, while its original position remains unchanged," Durei IV explained to Ye Huan while pointing to where Hell Serpent had been. 0

Hearing Durei IV's explanation, Ye Huan curiously took a couple of steps forward and reached out his hand. Sure enough, at the spot where Hell Serpent had just been, a chilling sensation traveled through Ye Huan's fingers. He had clearly touched Hell Serpent's skin, which sent a shiver down his spine. He couldn't help but think how terrifying innate abilities could be. 0

Just imagine, if a Summoner suddenly vanished during battle, it would already be enough to give their opponent a headache. What if such an ability were used for assassination? 0

Reluctantly pulling out the 2012 Arms Compendium, Ye Huan once again examined it carefully. However, just like before, he still couldn't find any markings similar to those described in Durei IV's book that were clearly visible to the naked eye. 0

"What the heck? Why is there nothing on my Summoning Book?" Frustrated and holding the 2012 Arms Compendium, Ye Huan couldn't understand why, as a Summoner, he lacked such a special ability. 0

Still unwilling to give up, he flipped through the pages again. Just then, heavy footsteps echoed from outside and quickly approached the door. 0

Turning around, Ye Huan's gaze met Gong Weiqi's as he walked out… 0

"Hmph!" Seeing Durei IV standing next to Ye Huan, Gong Weiqi dared not act too recklessly. He could only let out a cold snort before quickly striding over to Ye Huan's side and whispering through gritted teeth, "Ye Huan, consider yourself lucky this time. You have the little princess and Durei IV backing you up. I really regret not killing you on my way back. But be careful; next time we meet, I will take your life." 0

With that, Gong Weiqi turned and walked away. 0

Everyone has their breaking point. Ye Huan was already simmering with anger because reaching Fourth-Level Summoner brought him no benefits at all. After hearing Gong Weiqi's words, he could no longer hold back. Without thinking twice, Ye Huan flipped open the 2012 Arms Compendium and pressed a button; the Desert Eagle sprang forth into his hand. He aimed at Gong Weiqi's right foot and fired. 0

Bang! 0

The gunshot startled Durei IV, Gong Weiqi, and everyone else who had just exited the meeting room. A small crater appeared beside Gong Weiqi's right foot. 0

"Gong Weiqi, if you want me dead, let's settle this properly. Otherwise, don't bother me for no reason; I can guarantee that next time it will be your head on the line!" Ye Huan shouted furiously while gripping the Desert Eagle tightly. 0

Initially, when he first encountered Gong Weiqi, Ye Huan felt a flicker of sympathy for him. However, after Gong Weiqi repeatedly provoked him with taunts, any sympathy had long been cast aside. All that remained in Ye Huan's mind was one thought: whoever wanted him dead would find themselves facing death first. After having blood on his hands countless times, Ye Huan didn't even realize that a hint of brutality was gradually creeping into his character… 0

Surprisingly, after hearing Ye Huan's words, Gong Weiqi did not respond. Instead, beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he looked down at the pit created by the Desert Eagle. 0

A Seventh Level Warrior—he was still human. As Ye Huan had said, the force of such a blow to the head could be manageable if one was prepared, but if caught off guard, Gong Weiqi was uncertain whether he could withstand it. He cast a deep glance at Ye Huan before turning to leave without a moment's hesitation. The thought of killing Ye Huan did not fade; instead, it intensified. 0

Now that they were enemies, Ye Huan was nothing more than a threat to Gong Weiqi. 0

Seeing Gong Weiqi choose to walk away, Ye Huan let out a sigh of relief. He cursed himself for being too impulsive earlier and regretted exposing his strength so soon. However, amidst his worries, he was even more curious about what Gong Weiqi was up to that made him say something like "we'll meet again." 0

"Ye Huan, have you lost your mind? How could you act against him? He holds the title of General; this is insubordination!" 0

Uncertain if she was worried about Ye Huan, the little princess quickly reacted and rushed to his side. She snatched the Desert Eagle from his hands and scolded him. 0

The little princess was right; Ye Huan indeed should not have acted against Gong Weiqi. Even he understood that. However, once the Desert Eagle was in the little princess's hands, it seemed that no one cared about such matters anymore. 0

Staring in shock at the firearm in the little princess's grasp, it wasn't Ye Huan who was first taken aback but Weiyang, who stood at the door of the conference room. He remembered how he had felt an urge to play with such a weapon when he first saw it. Although Ye Huan had given him one before, it had vanished into thin air upon contact. But now, what was happening? Wasn't the little princess holding a gun? 0

Beside Weiyang, Zhang Ren looked equally stunned. The two were frozen in place while others who had never encountered Ye Huan's firearms remained oblivious to the situation. 0

"Is this a talent ability? Teacher Durei IV, is this my talent ability?" After staring at the gun in the little princess's hand for a while, Ye Huan turned to Durei IV with excitement on his face. The appearance of a firearm in someone else's hands meant something significant—it meant that Ye Huan could fully assemble a modern army! At that point, gaining power within the military would be easy; sweeping across the land would hardly pose a challenge... 0

Having never known that Ye Huan's firearms could not be used by others before this moment, Durei IV looked puzzled by Ye Huan's joy. Furrowing his brow, he asked, "Talent ability? What talent ability?" 0
