"Hit! Hit!" Golden Staff shouted, excitedly swinging his fists left and right.
Li Xiaonan glanced at Golden Staff with a black line on his forehead, feeling quite displeased.
Damn! This guy isn't fighting himself but is enjoying the show I’m putting on.
I’ve crossed over just to watch others have fun, and today, here I am, performing for free as a Celestial Artifact! But this Golden Staff is something else; it can actually talk!
How could Sun Er be so clueless?
"Don't just stand there! Hit! Up, down, heavy punches! Come on!"
Li Xiaonan finally couldn't hold back anymore. He raised his leg and delivered a heavy kick to Sun Er's abdomen, cursing, "Damn it! Do you think you're playing King of Fighters? What do you take me for? Should I show you a special move or something?"
Golden Staff's eyes sparkled with golden light as it exclaimed, "Great! Great! What special move? I love watching special moves!"
Flower Rubbing!
Before Li Xiaonan could finish his curse, he inadvertently gave Sun Er the chance to unleash his special move.
"Kid! Take this from Old Sun!"
Li Xiaonan's eyebrows twitched, and he felt a surge of excitement; he liked that line!
Back in the day, everyone in the village fought to grab a stick and play as Sun Wukong. But he was small and skinny, often assigned the role of a monster.
And he had to play the White Bone Spirit. The reason was simple: among all the demons in Journey to the West, only the White Bone Spirit was tough enough to withstand three hits from Sun Wukong.
After being made to play a monster once or twice, he could tolerate it. But when it became a regular occurrence, as the saying goes, "What an uncle can endure, an aunt cannot."
He picked up a small branch and used his short but fierce body to make “Sun Wukong” cry.
Looking back now, he could only recall the remaining beautiful moments of his childhood.
He looked up and couldn't help but scoff, "Flower Rubbing! Where's the stick?"
Clearly, the Golden Staff was engrossed in its own excitement, completely ignoring its master, Sun Er's orders.
Li Xiaonan stepped lightly with his left foot, twisted his waist with force, and struck out with both palms while shouting, "Thousand Sails Rekill!"
"Oh oh oh! Big move, big move! Such heavy killing intent, so sharp!" Golden Staff clapped its hands and shouted wildly.
Xiaoyao and Bloodshade exchanged a glance, a sense of helplessness evident in their eyes.
If their faction allowed it, they would definitely teach this chatterbox a lesson on behalf of their master.
"Damn it! So annoying!" Li Xiaonan scanned the inventory of Golden Yuan Power in Tian Dan with his spiritual sense. He clasped his hands together and shouted at the just-standing Sun Er, "Heavenly Union Strike!"
"Ah..." Sun Er's scream barely escaped his lips before it was swallowed by the power of Heavenly Union Strike.
The entire world seemed to be submerged in a white light.
Li Xiaonan panted heavily, standing coldly in mid-air. This was the first time he used Heavenly Union Strike since ascending to immortality, and its power exceeded that of the past.
"Ugh... Ouch... Oh dear..." From a pile of rubble, a monkey covered in brown fur crawled out, grimacing and howling.
Li Xiaonan lifted his foot and kicked away the debris in front of him, cursing, "I can't believe it's really a monkey; its skin is quite tough." Saying this, he grabbed Sun Er by the nape and lifted him up.
Golden Staff flashed forward and struck Li Xiaonan's wrist with a palm. After all, Sun Er was still its nominal master.
Li Xiaonan wasn't paying attention and received a solid hit on his wrist, followed by a loud bang.
He was sent flying backward with Sun Er in tow. Of course, Golden Staff wasn't spared either; as it was knocked back, its true form revealed itself.
"Impressive! I didn't expect that besides Sun Wukong's family, there are others with such thick armor!"
Li Xiaonan unconsciously rolled his eyes. "What the hell with the armor!"
He thought to himself, if you want to say I'm thick-skinned, just say it! Why use such a vivid metaphor? What does it even mean!
Li Xiaonan's patience was repeatedly provoked by Golden Staff.
He decided he could no longer tolerate it. Looking around, he felt confident he could control the situation.
He glanced at Xiaoyao and shouted, "Beat him up! Beat him to a pulp! This stick is too despicable! Crush him, and I'll refine him for you two to use! Have some kids!"
Bloodshade shot a glance at Li Xiaonan and said with a charming smile, "What are you talking about, big brother... what kids..."
At that moment, Li Xiaonan couldn't care less about such things. He swung his hand and summoned the Seven-Level Pagoda, crashing it fiercely into the golden staff.
Bloodshade and Xiaoyao transformed back into their original forms and followed closely behind the Seven-Level Pagoda as they charged at the golden rod.
Li Xiaonan grabbed Sun Er and dragged him in front of Li Baobao. He kicked Sun Er's backside and said, "Stop whining! Quickly take off the Purple Mist Garment! Otherwise, I’ll refine you!"
Sun Er let out a muffled grunt, struggling like a stubborn mule with a defiant expression.
Li Xiaonan was infuriated by the sight. He suddenly raised an arm and slapped Sun Er hard across the face, thinking to himself: Quite furry hands; feels nice!
He glared at Sun Er and said, "Your fur is quite neat, but it's a pity your brain is waterlogged. You still can't recognize the situation. Hurry up and lift the ban on my woman’s body; otherwise, I’ll castrate you right now! You’ll never touch a woman again!"
Upon hearing this, Sun Er lost all his earlier bravado and was left with a look of sheer panic.
His body trembled as he quickly covered himself with both hands, his thin lips quivering as he stammered, "No! I’ll lift the Purple Mist Garment right now!"
"Good, those who know how to adapt are wise!" Li Xiaonan said with a gentle smile as he patted Sun Er's furry face.
Sun Er felt extremely displeased inside.
Who in the entire celestial realm doesn't know me, Sun Er? Who doesn’t respect me?
Even the Four Emperors of the Immortal Realm treat me with kind words, never forgetting to invite me to any celebratory events.
In the past three hundred years, I, Sun Er, have undoubtedly been the standout figure of the Immortal Realm!
And then there's that glutton, Wang Kid!
He has no background at all, yet he is still highly regarded by the Immortal Emperors.
If it were just that, it would be fine, but this kid has such a beautiful wife. What's worse is that he actually managed to win over the Yellow Emperor's Adopted Daughter!
How outrageous! How infuriating! Here I am, Sun Er, a graceful and handsome young man, and after all these years, I only have a silly dog by my side!
Sigh... It's truly frustrating when others outshine you!
Although Sun Er felt indignant, his hands moved swiftly as he formed seals.
He had completely seen through Li Xiaonan; this guy's rogue behavior was definitely inversely proportional to his appearance.
As Sun Er completed his final hand seal, a lotus flower glowing with a faint purple light flew towards the white gemstone on the Purple Mist Garment, emitting a dazzling brilliance.
Sun Er clapped his hands and said, "Alright, Li Gu can take off this garment now."
Li Baobao nodded and reached for the belt around her waist. However, after pulling for quite some time, there was no response at all.
She lightly bit her red lips and looked at Li Xiaonan with a pitiful expression, almost on the verge of tears.
Li Xiaonan grabbed Sun Er by the back of his neck and lifted him up. "Are you messing with me? My wife still can't take it off! Do you think my words are just passing winds? Do you believe I won't castrate you right now?"
Sun Er was startled and glanced at Li Baobao. He waved his hands repeatedly. "No, no, no! I'm not messing with you; I really did lift the restrictions on the Purple Mist Garment. How about... how about you give me another chance?"
As he spoke, he shakily raised a finger.
Li Xiaonan took a deep breath and set Sun Er down.
Sun Er immediately flipped his palms, and a brilliant light far surpassing before seeped from his hands, enveloping Li Baobao for a full incense stick's worth of time.
When the light faded, Sun Er lay on the ground, exhausted like a dog.
Encouraged by Li Xiaonan, Li Baobao attempted once more to remove the Purple Mist Garment. Unfortunately, the garment clung to her like a leech, refusing to budge no matter how hard she tried.
Despairingly, Li Baobao looked at Li Xiaonan, who glared at Sun Er with fury.
Sun Er wore a pained expression; his already unattractive monkey face appeared even more grotesque.
"Um... don't worry, I... I can't undo it, but there are others who can! I can take you to find the true owner of the Purple Mist Garment."
Li Xiaonan felt an overwhelming urge to tear the monkey apart, prying open its skull to see just how much water had gotten in there.
He was unwilling to waste any more time with Sun Er. The priority was to help Baobao remove the Purple Mist Garment. He asked, "Then take me there now! And bring him back too—no, tie him up if you have to!"
Sun Er's face turned difficult as he stammered, "Well... actually... I don't know where he is..."
"Damn it!" Li Xiaonan suddenly yanked Sun Er up and slammed him back down onto the ground, cursing, "Are you messing with me?"
"No... no... I really don't know, but the Golden Staff knows... Although the Golden Staff is officially my Celestial Artifact, it has always recognized only one true master..."
Li Xiaonan took a deep breath and said to Li Baobao, "Don't be afraid. I'll find a way to make everything right!"
Li Baobao nodded heavily. Though still feeling somewhat dejected, she resolutely trusted Li Xiaonan.
Li Xiaonan slowly exhaled a breath of frustration and glanced at Sun Er. "I hope you're telling the truth. If the Golden Staff also doesn't know anything about the owner of the Purple Mist Garment, just wait for your fate!"
With that, he shifted his form and flew toward the ongoing battle in the sky involving Carefree and others. Strictly speaking, they weren't human; they were two and a half Celestial Artifacts along with one Buddhist Artifact.
Li Xiaonan looked at the bald giant wielding a golden staff who was single-handedly taking on three opponents and felt a bead of sweat forming!
He had thought that deploying the Seven-Level Pagoda would turn the tide of battle, but what he saw instead was Jin Gu frantically chasing after Carefree Bloodshed and beating him mercilessly while completely ignoring the Seven-Level Pagoda's attempts to hinder him.
The Golden Staff swung around, striking towards Bloodshade, but Xiaoyao quickly turned and shielded Bloodshade in his embrace.
Li Xiaonan shook his head secretly, thinking how this brat still had time to play the hero. If that blow landed, he would be in serious trouble.
Such power had already surpassed the existence of a Celestial Artifact.
Wasn't the owner of the Golden Staff incredibly formidable? It was even possible that they had transcended the realm of immortals!
But wasn't the owner of the Golden Staff Sun Wukong? Could it be that the story of Journey to the West truly existed in the Starry Illusion Continent?
Various thoughts raced through Li Xiaonan's mind as he shifted and appeared in front of Xiaoyao, grasping the incoming golden staff with one hand.
Xiaoyao was startled and said, "Big Brother?"
"Yeah, leave this to me!"
Upon seeing Li Xiaonan, the Golden Staff's owner felt an even stronger surge of battle intent. He laughed and said, "So it's you! Come on, let's exchange a few moves!"
"Exchanging a few moves is fine, but first tell me who your master is and where they are now."
