“Come, come! Everyone gather around, let me tell you a story!” Soulmate suddenly appeared before the crowd and walked straight to the distant pavilion, plopping down onto a stone bench.
Everyone turned to Mushroom Master, unsure of how to respond.
“Oh dear! You bunch of clueless folks, even Old Wood wants to hear me! I've said it countless times, I am the master of Old Wood! Hurry up!” Soulmate waved a pale, bloodless hand at them, and with a flick of his wrist, four cups of tea and a platter of celestial fruits appeared on the stone table.
The faint fragrance slowly wafted into Li Xiaonan's nose, and he floated up in a daze, drifting toward Soulmate.
“Master!” Li Baobao exclaimed in surprise. Mushroom Master gently patted her shoulder and said, “Don't worry, he may be a bit eccentric, but he won't harm us…”
“Master, who exactly is he? Can't you defeat him?” Li Baobao tilted her head and asked.
Mushroom Master sighed and shook his head with a wry smile. “He said he is my master. I can't defeat him… Sigh… I let you all go, so why did you come back? Is it a blessing or a curse?”
Li Xiaonan had already dived into the fruit platter, biting down hard on a bright red fruit, mumbling incoherently, “It's a blessing not a curse; if it's a curse, there's no escaping!”

When Li Xiaonan came to his senses, he found himself wearing a robe identical to Soulmate's, the snow-white fur collar tickling him slightly.

Soulmate chuckled, “Slow down; this is celestial fruit. You're only at the Nascent Soul stage now; be careful not to overindulge.”
Li Xiaonan shot him a glance but remained silent, thinking to himself: So it's celestial fruit; no wonder it tastes so good! If I explode, so what? I can just reform anyway.
It was purely a thought of being unafraid of boiling water like a dead pig.

Soulmate seemed to not have heard him at all. He propped his head up with one hand and picked up a purple celestial fruit the size of a fingernail, handing it to Li Xiaonan who was soaking in the hot spring.

He swallowed the last bite of celestial fruit and couldn't help but let out a satisfied burp, which drew hearty laughter from Soulmate.
Li Xiaonan shot him an annoyed glance and said, "What are you laughing at? What do you actually want from me? Burp..." He quickly covered his mouth as his body suddenly swelled slightly.
Soulmate shook his head helplessly as he pulled Li Xiaonan out of the cup, laughing, "I haven't figured it out yet, but I just think you're adorable. It seems your constitution is indeed special; after eating the celestial fruit, you still grow. Watch my Murong Fu's ultimate skill—returning the favor with their own methods!" He mimicked Soulmate's earlier strange gestures and formed hand seals, causing his True Essence Power to surge forth like a swarm guided by a divine presence.
