As Yun Moyu's consciousness returned to her body, she witnessed Ling Kui slap Li Xiaonan, who sat there in a daze. 0

A strange feeling stirred within her, but now that Li Xiaonan had recovered, she found no reason to linger in the room. Moreover... she glanced at her own bare self and hurriedly put on her clothes, almost fleeing out of the door. Since she left, Li Xiaonan hadn't even looked at her. Though she felt sad, there was nothing she could say. 0

Ling Kui said nothing as she dressed and stepped out of the room alongside Yun Moyu, leaving Li Xiaonan alone. 0

Li Xiaonan remained frozen on the bed for a long while before slapping his thigh hard and exclaiming, "What kind of play is this?" Just a moment ago, they were all together, and now two of them had run off. He glanced toward the door and decided to find Ling Kui first. 0

During this trip back to Fairy Island, Yun Yiluo had arranged for each of them to have their own room. Li Xiaonan approached Ling Kui's door, swallowed hard, and knocked. 0

A cold voice came from inside: "Come in." 0

Taking a deep breath, Li Xiaonan entered Ling Kui's room with a silly grin. "My dear wife, are you angry?" Ling Kui stood by the window, gazing at the lake full of lotus flowers. 0

He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, inhaling her fragrant hair. 0

"You should go find Mo Yu first; she has done so much for you," the person in his arms replied icily, devoid of any warmth. 0

Li Xiaonan thought to himself: Oh no! She's jealous! He forced a chuckle and said, "Hehe, of course I should find my wife first. Don't be angry; I was wrong." He playfully swayed with the person in his embrace. 0

"You know you were wrong?" Ling Kui broke free from his hold and turned to face him coldly. "What exactly did you do wrong?" 0

Li Xiaonan's eyes darted around as he grinned sheepishly. "I shouldn't have forced Obedient Dragon II with Yun Moyu." 0

"Is there anything else?" Li Xiaonan looked at Ling Kui, whose expression showed no sign of softening, and said with a hint of grievance, "You shouldn't lie." 0

"You know! Do you realize that if it weren't for you miscalculating the time this time, you would have really died..." Ling Kui's voice weakened as she spoke the last two words, her eyes filled with mist. 0

Li Xiaonan sighed and pulled Ling Kui into his embrace, gently saying, "I know, I know. I'm fine now, and more importantly, you're okay too." 0

Ling Kui softly replied, "Xiao Nan, promise me that no matter what danger we face in the future, you won't risk your life for it." 0

Li Xiaonan chuckled and rested his chin on Ling Kui's head. "Silly girl, you know I can't do that. Without you, what meaning would my life have? You... you mean us?" He stared blankly at Ling Kui, unsure of who 'us' referred to. 0

Ling Kui pinched his straight nose and laughed. "Fool, there's also Yanrong and Mo Yu. What do you plan to do about Mo Yu? She saved you." 0

"What can I do? I've already been obedient to the Dragon II twice; there's no reason to hand over this pure Yin furnace to someone else." 0

Ling Kui asked seriously, "I want to know, do you like her?" 0

Li Xiaonan was taken aback, unsure how to answer Ling Kui's question since women often preferred to hear sweet lies. 0

In his moment of distraction, Ling Kui seized his little braid and looked coldly at Li Xiaonan. "Be honest; I'm not jealous." 0

"Well... it would be a lie to say I don't feel anything at all... but I still like my wife Ling Kui the most." After saying this, he suddenly swept Ling Kui off her feet. 0

Ling Kui's face turned red as she shyly exclaimed, "What are you doing? If you have time to tease me, you might as well take down Mo Yu sooner; that girl is still thinking about monogamy!" 0

Li Xiaonan pressed a kiss on Ling Kui's forehead, setting her down as he smiled and said, "I promise to capture Yun Moyu under the orders of my dear wife!" 0

Ling Kui returned to her frosty demeanor, coldly replying, "Get lost. Who can command you? But if you miss out on this Pure Yin Cauldron, you'll regret it. Hurry up! Don't keep her waiting." 0

Li Xiaonan nodded and stepped out to find Yun Moyu. As he navigated the winding wooden corridors, just when he was starting to feel dizzy from the turns, a figure in white blocked his path. 0

"Father-in-law?" 0

"Mm, are you healed?" Spirit Weapon asked. 0

Li Xiaonan chuckled and replied, "Thanks to your blessings, I'm all better." 0

Spirit Weapon nodded. "There are some things I need to discuss with you." Li Xiaonan glanced at Yun Moyu's room nearby, and Spirit Weapon continued, "Don't worry; that girl has feelings for you. She's destined to be yours and won't run away. Come with Father-in-law." 0

Li Xiaonan steeled himself and nodded, following Spirit Weapon into the room. 0

"Kid, a Cultivator who knows too much will become fearful, which is detrimental to their training. But you have quite the courage, so there are some things I need to tell you," Spirit Weapon said as he settled comfortably into the Redwood Armchair, casually picking up a purple clay teacup from the Tea Table. 0

Li Xiaonan grabbed a redwood round stool and sat across from Spirit Weapon, chuckling nervously, "It sounds serious. I'm actually quite timid; maybe it's best if you don't tell me." 0

Spirit Weapon shook his head and continued speaking. "What do you think of the Harmony Technique?" 0

"Very good! It's powerful!" 0
"Do you know how the Mother of Ling Kui died?" Spirit Weapon smiled. 0

Li Xiaonan felt that his father-in-law's thoughts were quite erratic. After pondering for a moment, he said, "Is it because the love between immortals and mortals violated the rules of the celestial realm, disrupting the order of heaven?" 0

Spirit Weapon shook his head, took a sip of tea, and replied slowly, "The love between immortals and mortals isn't limited to just me and Ning Er. Yet, it was Ning Er who was struck by celestial lightning, and I was stripped of my celestial status. Do you know why?" 0

Li Xiaonan felt a wave of frustration. Inner Thoughts: What’s up with this Old Dragon today? Discussing his romantic history? It shouldn’t be that boring. 0

A thought flashed through his mind, "Harmony Technique?" "Harmony Technique," both Father-in-law said in unison, then exchanged amused glances. 0

"I don't know the true origins of the Harmony Technique. I discovered it during an adventure in the celestial realm. After cultivating it, my power grew rapidly. I was too young and arrogant back then, making too many enemies and provoking those I shouldn't have. Now, I just want to tell you that the Harmony Technique will bring you endless benefits but also endless troubles. Someone is watching from above; it won't be long before someone comes looking for trouble." 0

Li Xiaonan squinted. Initially, he didn’t want to be a fool who was constantly bullied, so he chose cultivation. Later on, he didn’t want to be stepped on by Xing Su, so he worked hard to improve himself. Although he had some ambitions, his goals weren’t very clear. Generally speaking, he just wanted to defeat small monsters and flirt with girls—putting it nicely, he wanted to go with the flow; putting it bluntly, he was just getting by. 0

"I understand now, Father-in-law. I won’t let anyone bully Ling Kui." 0

Spirit Weapon nodded, looking at the teacup in his hand. He said lightly, "Xiao Nan, I know Ling Kui didn't misjudge you. The future path can only be walked by yourselves. Remember to suppress your cultivation level; don’t break through too quickly. This way, you might encounter fewer troubles. Once you have enough strength in the future, I will make sure those people all fall." 0

The teacup shattered, causing Li Xiaonan to shudder involuntarily. Although Spirit Weapon had lost his powers, the aura of years spent in battle still lingered. 0

The two continued discussing various views on cultivation and eventually ended up talking about women. It turned out that this brooding Old Dragon preferred bold and lively girls. Li Xiaonan wanted to laugh but found it incredibly difficult to hold back. The Old Dragon glared fiercely and exclaimed, "Which man doesn’t like them!" 0

Li Xiaonan replied calmly, "I don’t like them; I prefer someone like Ling Kui." 0

A round red sun rose above the horizon, casting a light golden hue over the land. After a long night of candlelit conversation with his father-in-law, Li Xiaonan stepped out of the Spirit Weapon room, stretching widely. Inner thoughts raced through his mind: Yun Moyu, I'm here! 0

"Mo Yu? Are you there? It's me, Li Xiaonan." He stood outside Yun Moyu's door, scratching his head in confusion. His mind was a jumble; he wasn't particularly clever and had no idea how to charm a young lady. 0

At that moment, he pondered what sweet words he could use to coax her into opening the door if she refused to see him. 0

With a creak, Yun Moyu opened the door, her eyes red and swollen. She glared at him and said, "What do you want now?" 0

Li Xiaonan forced an awkward smile and boldly entered her room. On the Pear Blossom Round Table lay a Ceramic Flute engraved with a lotus pattern. He paused for a moment, suddenly filled with confidence; he understood that Yun Moyu had feelings for him. The question was how to win her over completely. 0

"I came to thank you, and I wanted to know... would you be willing to come with me?" After thinking for a while, he decided to be straightforward. He gently took Yun Moyu's icy hand and spoke softly. 0

Yun Moyu tried to pull her hand away but hesitated. With a teasing smile, she replied, "Sure, I'll go with you, but first you have to get rid of Ling Kui." 0

Li Xiaonan sighed and shook his head. 0

Yun Moyu withdrew her hand angrily and exclaimed, "Fine! If you can promise me that I'm the last one, then I'll go with you." 0

Li Xiaonan frowned in distress. He knew that Yun Moyu had already made a concession; it was rare for someone like her to back down this much. However... he still shook his head helplessly. 0

Tears welled up in Yun Moyu's eyes as she suddenly grabbed the Ceramic Flute from the table and threw it at Li Xiaonan. It shattered on the ground with a dull thud, reminding both of them of the broken pieces of her heart. 0

"You... I hate you..." With that, Yun Moyu turned to run out of the room. 0

Li Xiaonan sighed and grabbed her arm. He had figured out Yun Moyu's little temper; whenever she was unhappy, she liked to run away. 0

"Let go of me, you jerk!" Yun Moyu struggled for a moment but couldn't break free, instead being pushed against the wall by Li Xiaonan. 0

He smiled and said, "I won't let go. If I do, I won't be able to catch you again. Without love, where does hate come from? Mo Yu, I can't meet your demands, but I can tell you this: if I had known you earlier, I wouldn't have given you up because of Ling Kui." 0

Yun Moyu was taken aback. By the time she regained her senses, Li Xiaonan had already released her and left the room. 0

Tears finally fell from her eyes. Aside from the shards of the Ceramic Flute on the floor, it seemed as though nothing had happened. 0

That night, Yun Moyu tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. She had no desire to meditate and was even more restless. Li Xiaonan's words echoed repeatedly in her mind. She wavered; she wanted to find Li Xiaonan, but a proud woman like her would never lower her head. She waited for him to come find her, but as the day passed, Li Xiaonan did not appear again. 0

The next morning, Perilla came to see Yun Moyu. "Mo Yu, this is what Li Xiaonan asked me to bring you." 0

In Yun Moyu's hand was a jade flute. The dark jade flute was intricately carved with swirling clouds and below it was a vividly shaped blooming lotus flower. 0

She clutched the jade flute tightly and asked, "Where is he?" 0

"He's in the main hall saying goodbye to the sect leader." 0

Without saying another word, Yun Moyu held onto the jade flute and rushed toward the main hall. 0
