Mei Qingdan followed Li Xiaonan's gaze to the sky, a glimmer of green light flashing in her eyes. She then coughed lightly and said, "What are you pretending to be so deep for, boy? You're not cute at all! Aren't you supposed to go to Main Island? Hurry up!"
Li Xiaonan nodded, taking Ling Kui's hand and flying toward the central island, feeling no resistance now.
Mei Qingdan sat on her gourd and followed them down to the island. Li Xiaonan looked puzzled and asked, "Old Man Mei, what about you?"
Mei Qingdan waved her hand with a grin and replied, "I'm here to find gifts! Boy, don't blame me for not warning you; this place is quite eerie. There's a hint of Celestial Energy here, likely remnants of an array left by an immortal. You need to be careful!"
Li Xiaonan nodded gratefully.
As the three of them stepped onto the island, their surroundings suddenly shifted. The soft sandy ground transformed into smooth concrete, tangled weeds and short trees turned into towering buildings, and before them lay a wide road lined with various cars parked neatly.
This scene was all too familiar to Li Xiaonan; it was nothing less than the landscape of Earth City.
"Eh? An Illusion Array?" Mei Qingdan glanced at Li Xiaonan and remarked casually, "Boy, what’s going on in that head of yours? What are all these Boxes?"
Ling Kui, who knew Li Xiaonan's past well, observed the scene with curiosity. Inner Thoughts: This is the world he used to live in—so different, so novel. He must still have some lingering feelings for his original world; otherwise, how could such an illusion appear?
Li Xiaonan was at a loss for how to respond to Mei Qingdan but heard her murmur in confusion, "Strange... it shouldn't be this peaceful."
Upon hearing this, Li Xiaonan froze. The so-called Illusion Array was designed to confuse the mind for harmful purposes. Within an Illusion Array, reality and illusion intertwined; some scenes or figures could evoke the deepest memories in one's mind—painful or joyful—entangling one within them without escape. Others mixed attacking formations within the Illusion Array itself, catching one off guard and potentially leading to death within its confines.
Among all formations, the Illusion Array was undoubtedly one of the most troublesome. If it found the weakest part of one's heart, it could trigger an Inner Demon, leading to eternal damnation with no hope of escape.
Li Xiaonan looked at the cars parked by the roadside and shouted, "Run!"
No sooner had he spoken than the cars transformed into giants.
Li Xiaonan's Inner Thoughts: What the hell! What kind of Illusion Array is this? Transformers are coming out too! I wonder if there’s a Bumblebee? Or an Optimus Prime?
He had just finished his thought when two car people came rushing from a distance, one primarily in yellow and the other in blue.
Li Xiaonan finally couldn't hold back and cursed, "What the hell is that!"
Mei Qingdan angrily exclaimed, "Boy, what are these tin cans? What strange thoughts are running through your head? I almost want to crack open your skull to see!" He had been momentarily stunned earlier and hadn’t dodged in time, ending up covered in dust and looking quite disheveled. He was annoyed not only by Li Xiaonan's bizarre ideas but also because Li Xiaonan had pulled Ling Kui away without taking him along.
Ling Kui coldly remarked, "Old man, this is not the time to dwell on those issues. Look, how do we break this formation?" He was still accustomed to his icy demeanor when dealing with others.
"How do we break it?" Mei Qingdan gestured toward Li Xiaonan. "Rely on him!"
Li Xiaonan dared not indulge in any more wild thoughts for fear of conjuring up some other chaotic modern weapon. He asked, "Old man, how do I break it? Hurry up and tell me! Running around like this isn’t a solution!"
Since Li Xiaonan shouted to run, the three of them had not stopped moving, flying through the air on Artifact while being chased by the clattering car people behind them.
Mei Qingdan helplessly said, "Boy, this Illusion Array is clearly connected to the Pentagram Array. If you break the Pentagram Array, this Illusion Array will naturally center around you. To break the Illusion Array, there are only two ways: either you act as the focal point and knock down these tin cans, or we take you down as the focal point."
Li Xiaonan felt a black line above his head; he actually guessed the method to break it. He glanced back at the relentless car people chasing them and thought: Should I conjure up some villain characters like Megatron to have them fight each other while we sit back and watch? Yes! That’s exactly what I’ll do!
In his mind, he sketched out a lineup of Decepticons: Megatron, Decepticon, Red Spider, Sonic Wave...
When both Autobots and Decepticons appeared on the scene, Li Xiaonan was furious once again. He saw Optimus Prime at the center with Megatron and Decepticon flanking him on either side, followed by Bumblebee and Red Spider charging madly toward them with synchronized steps that could rival a divine performance; it was just missing the theme song from Saint Seiya.
"What the hell! Don’t you understand? The Orthodox Sect villains should be fighting each other! Instead, they’re working together to chase us down—what kind of situation is this? I’m supposed to be the focal point! Do you even take me seriously?" Li Xiaonan cursed as he pointed angrily at the sky.
With a fan in his right hand and a Desert Eagle in his left, he charged into the joint camp of Autobots and Decepticons. The Carefree Fan served as a close-combat weapon—sometimes stabbing, sometimes blocking, sometimes closing up or fanning out—while the Desert Eagle was merely for distraction; these hulking figures didn’t care about bullets at all.
Li Xiaonan fumed inwardly: In the future, I want to make fighter jets and cannons; I want to create Transformers too! Damn it, I'll crush you all with these tin cans!
He kept darting between the Transformers using Swift Steps; self-preservation was no problem for him, but he couldn’t manage to hurt them. Although his True Essence Power was substantial, he genuinely didn’t know any advanced attack techniques. If only he had studied Martial Soul Technique properly; otherwise, he could have kicked a Transformer’s head off with one blow.
These Transformers moved slowly and were essentially targets; their attack power was strong enough to demolish a building with a single hit. Mei Qingdan found it amusing and couldn’t help but step forward to challenge Optimus Prime directly. Even Ling Kui got entangled with Red Spider in battle.
Li Xiaonan sensed that things were not looking good; if they continued fighting like this, it would be endless. They had truly fallen into the trap of the Illusion Array.
Mei Qingdan was caught up in the excitement. Since reaching the Great Ascension stage, he had become indifferent to many things and rarely engaged in battles. At this moment, he felt as ambitious as when he first entered Cultivation, vowing to take down these massive metal foes.
With one hand holding the Golden Gourd and the other forming a seal, a beam of white light shot out from the gourd's mouth, striking Optimus Prime's chest. With a loud explosion, the elixir shattered Optimus Prime into pieces, leaving nothing but an empty metal frame. Unfortunately, all of this was an illusion; Optimus Prime's chest returned to its original smooth and intact form.
Li Xiaonan happened to witness this scene and seemed to have realized something. He shouted, "Stop fighting! Retreat!"
The three of them quickly gathered together in perfect harmony.
"Hey kid, did you come up with a plan?" Mei Qingdan asked, holding the gourd with an unsatisfied expression.
"Yes." Li Xiaonan pointed to the sky with a mysterious look and declared loudly, "I am the formation eye; I need the Original Energy Matrix." As soon as he finished speaking, a metallic cube appeared in his hand.
"I don't believe in evil! With this thing, you all better not fight!" He tossed the Original Energy Matrix into the air.
Finally, the Autobots and Decepticons reacted. To use an inappropriate yet vivid metaphor: it was like throwing a meat bun to a pack of dogs; eventually, the dogs began to fight among themselves.
Li Xiaonan flew high with Ling Kui and Mei Qingdan, laughing as he said, "Let me show you all a 3D movie."
The scene was truly sensational!
The Autobots and Decepticons finally faced off directly; Optimus Prime confronted Megatron. The laser cannon of Optimus Prime clashed with Megatron's fusion cannon, neither side gaining an advantage.
Indeed, whether in illusion or reality, conflict arose from clashes of interest. Li Xiaonan watched with a grin at the skyscrapers inadvertently destroyed by their battle and the cracked ground beneath them.
His gaze grew sharper, his mind clearer. The line between truth and illusion blurred; the past was gone. Even if he felt reluctant in his heart, one must still look forward.
Whether on Earth or in the Starry Illusion Continent, as long as Li Xiaonan remained Li Xiaonan, what did it matter where he was? Moreover, there were people here that he cared about and was willing to protect at all costs.

In the center of the Pentagram Array stood a mountain. Strictly speaking, it couldn’t be called a mountain; it was merely a slightly larger mound of earth, with yellowish rock walls weathered and cracked, appearing quite fragile.
The three of them slowly made their way along the forest path toward the mountain. That mountain was the only thing on the small island that resembled their destination.
The slanting rays of the setting sun filtered through the palm leaves and fell upon them. Li Xiaonan gazed foolishly at Ling Kui, the sunlight casting a soft and beautiful glow on her face. Ling Kui's gaze fell on Mei Qingdan; she vaguely felt that this name was familiar, as if she had heard someone mention it before. Mei Qingdan pursed his lips while watching Li Xiaonan, unsure of what thoughts were brewing in his mind.
Finally, Li Xiaonan withdrew his gaze from Ling Kui and looked into the distance. The yellowish mountain shimmered with an unusual golden light. Before they knew it, they had arrived at the foot of the mountain.
