In the night, Newton suddenly opened his eyes to find a figure standing in his room, gazing at him with cold eyes. The visitor was Norman, tossing a stone up and down in his hand, a smirk playing on his lips. 0

"Well, you made it," Newton said with a yawn, showing no surprise at Norman's arrival. He walked over to the table and poured himself a glass of water. 0

"Aren't you afraid I might kill you?" Norman asked, his interest piqued as he studied Newton. This was someone he had never fully understood from the very beginning. 0

"Afraid? Yes. But I know you can't kill me," Newton replied confidently, exuding an air of powerful self-assurance. Even though Norman wanted to retort, he found himself unable to counter Newton's conviction; any harsh words he might have had were stifled by the overwhelming presence of the other man. 0

"Then... what about that girl?" Norman managed to force out, suppressing the fear that bubbled within him. But before he could react further, a hand had already tightened around his throat, pinning him to the ground. Newton's grip was like a vice, choking him mercilessly. Norman struggled to fight back but was horrified to discover that his demonic strength was completely unresponsive, as if sealed away. He tried to pry Newton's hand away, but the latter remained immovable. 0

"How pathetic," Newton said with a hint of mockery. "I thought you would be my partner. I never expected you to give up just for a girl. If we joined forces, we could rise above everyone else." 0

Even while subdued by Newton, Norman refused to lose hope and continued to tempt him with promises of power. But Newton only found his words amusing. 0

"Stop trying to make me laugh with those words. Who gave you your current power? Have you forgotten? You think you can negotiate with me using this kind of strength? Where does your confidence come from?" 0

Newton's words made Norman break out in a cold sweat. Indeed, everything he had relied on Newton's potions. Without them, he was just a rat in the sewers. In an instant, Norman felt a chill run down his spine, and he looked at Newton with pleading eyes. 0

"I'm sorry, but now that you're here, there's no way you're leaving..." 0

If the other party didn't intend to cause trouble, Newton had no plans to eliminate them either. After all, his encounter with Rona was also due to this guy. For that reason alone, Newton could let him off the hook. However, since the other party dared to come looking for trouble, Newton wouldn't hold back. The pressure in his hand gradually increased, and Norman could feel his brain slipping into a state of unconsciousness. With Newton's strength, he could easily snap Norman's neck in one go, but instead, he watched as Norman's face turned red from lack of oxygen, a cruel smile spreading across his lips. 0

"Knock knock knock." 0

Just when Norman thought his life was about to end, there was a knock on the door of Newton's room. 0

"Jin, are you there? I heard some noise coming from your room." 0

Rona's voice remained calm and steady, but Norman felt as if he could breathe again; the grip around his neck loosened. 0

"Oh, it's nothing. Just a rat that wandered into my room." 0

Newton sighed and tightened his grip on Norman's neck as he moved to the window. Without hesitation, he tossed Norman out through the window and ignored him completely. He then walked to the door and opened it to find Rona standing outside with a pillow in her arms. 0

"Leaving already?" 0

Rona showed no signs of fear or surprise; she simply walked in and sat down on Newton's bed. 0

"Well, if that's the case, that guy shouldn't come looking for trouble for a while. But it seems I need to start your education earlier; after all, this means you're my only weakness." 0

Newton looked at Rona with a hint of apology and reached out to pat her head. 0

"It's okay, but what are you going to teach me?" 0

Rona's eyes sparkled with eagerness. In the past, Newton had merely tried to see if Rona could awaken her own magic, but it seemed that waiting was no longer an option. He would have to teach her his Alchemy skills, as well as Erza's Requip magic and Miraj's Take Over magic. 0

"Well, I can teach you a lot of things. After all, I have experience with you, right? What I possess is Alchemy, which is essentially the magic of material transformation. The other two are spells from my wife on another continent—your mother. One allows you to store weapons in a space and then change them through magic, mainly using different weapons to adapt to various combat situations. The other can absorb the souls of different animals or magical beasts to alter your body and gain corresponding abilities." 0

"Which one is the strongest?" 0

If she was going to learn, she wanted to learn the strongest. Rona didn't feel particularly compelled to learn only Newton's magic, which made him a bit sad. It felt like a daughter was abandoning her father, but as for which was the strongest... 0

"Well, it's not necessarily about which one is the strongest; they just have different focuses. My Alchemy can create armor and weapons and various potions that enhance one's abilities, so it's more about support. Requip magic relies on having a large number of weapons and tools at your disposal, while Take Over requires souls. Overall, it all depends on external factors, but ultimately magic relies on oneself. For instance, if your physical skills are strong enough, creating a weapon through Alchemy would be no different from using Requip magic. As for Take Over, even if you have an ordinary animal soul, you need extensive training to master its abilities." 0

"Can I learn all three?" 0

That was a bit greedy, but Newton wasn't angry; in fact, he appreciated such ambition! He felt proud of his daughter's drive. However, aside from Alchemy, both Requip and Take Over required additional tools for assistance. Making weapons or armor was manageable, but at first, Newton couldn't be sure how much space Rona had available. If she couldn't fit the weapons in her space later on, she'd have to carry them around. As for Take Over magic, it didn't matter much since ordinary animal souls could serve as the basis for this ability. But since she was his daughter, he wanted to give her the best options available. Newton wasn't motivated by the fact that she was his daughter; he simply wanted to pass on his magic first because it was already too late for him to teach her otherwise. 0
