Wogd's commission information was actually quite limited. Wogd was a Mage capable of manipulating nature, and greening deserts was perhaps his greatest interest. So, during his free time, he enjoyed wandering around various places. One day, he stumbled upon a village known as Sun Village. What was astonishing was that all the villagers inside were frozen in ice, yet they were still alive, as if they had been encased in ice while still breathing. As a Mage who loved nature, Wogd could not tolerate such a situation. He tried many methods to restore the villagers, but none succeeded. Thus, he decided to commission someone for help. As a former member of Fairy Tail, he trusted them the most—not because of Natsu and the others' fame, but simply because they had once been part of the same Guild.
"Sun Village, huh?"
Jiang fully utilized his database capabilities and quickly retrieved information about Sun Village.
"According to records, although it is called Sun Village, it actually worships an eternal flame that has burned for nearly a hundred years. Moreover, most of the villagers are giants, making it a village with formidable combat strength. But how could it be completely frozen?"
Jiang expressed his confusion; the situation seemed too incredible. If a Guild could annihilate Sun Village or directly destroy it using ice magic, it wouldn't be surprising. However, merely freezing everyone without killing them indicated a terrifying level of magical control.
"I know how unbelievable this is, which is why I hope you can investigate it. Don't worry; I will send you to Sun Village. Just turn right!"
Everyone instinctively followed Wogd's instructions, except for Haru, who mistakenly turned left while the others turned right.
"Haha, I was just kidding."
Wogd laughed in poor taste as everyone looked at him in disbelief. Just as Jiang was about to retort, the ground beneath them began to change. Tender green branches broke through the soil, followed by a mass of green shrubbery that lifted Natsu and the others into the air like clouds.
"Wait! I still have so many questions!"
Natsu shouted beside the shrubbery but quickly succumbed to motion sickness and fell silent.
"Don't worry; we will return here after the mission is over. Mr. Natsu need not worry about not being able to ask questions."
Jiang wasn't particularly interested in gossip; any information he gathered would only serve to help reconstruct historical data later on, which held little significance for him.
Soon, they arrived at the entrance of a village. Although Jiang had mentioned earlier that this was a village of giants, upon arrival, everyone couldn't help but marvel at what they saw. The two giants standing at the village entrance were at least as large as Makarov's giant magic form.
"So this is what giants look like; they really are massive," Natsu remarked with curiosity as he observed the two giants before him. Experiencing different sights was what adventure was all about.
"The ice here..."
Gray felt the sensation of the ice that had frozen the entire village, which was vastly different from the ordinary ice created by ice magic. This ice gave Gray a very special feeling.
"Indeed, these giants are still alive."
Wendy sensed that the life force of these giants had not yet dissipated. In fact, it seemed that their life force was stronger than that of ordinary people, making them feel healthier than usual.
"What I'm concerned about is who that is over there?"
Erza looked to the side, and then a girl with wine-red hair in pigtails appeared before them, her expression dark.
"Raven Tail!"
Natsu and the others immediately became alert, but Lucy stopped them.
"Wait, wait, wait! I know she's not a bad person!"
"Although Sister Lucy might be under some kind of illusion, I still think we can choose to trust her."
At this moment, Ginger also spoke up, pointing at Freya's abdomen where there was a mark resembling the sun.
"That's the mark of Sun Village; only people from Sun Village bear this mark."
Though there was still a possibility of it being forged, seeing how protective Lucy was of Freya made Ginger decide to keep quiet and just be cautious. However, there was still an unavoidable question: why was Freya, who had a normal human physique, present among a group predominantly consisting of giants?
Natsu and the others naturally shared this suspicion. Freya explained that her physique was different from others in the village; she felt inferior because she didn't resemble the villagers. This led her to leave the village in search of others like herself, which is how she encountered Raven Tail. Unfortunately, Raven Tail did not treat Freya well and often abused her, resulting in Freya's current dark demeanor.
After hearing Freya's story, Erza couldn't help but sigh.
"If you ever want to join a guild, come to our Fairy Tail..."
"No, I have no intention of joining Fairy Tail at all..."
However, Freya's refusal was even more resolute than expected, as if she had never considered joining Fairy Tail at all. Even the conclusion she reached after thinking about it was the same: she did not want to join. Lucy helped clarify this.
"It's no use, Erza. I've already asked her; she really doesn't want to join our Guild, so there's no need to ask again."
"I see. Then let's drop it."
"Actually, if you don't want to join Fairy Tail, you could still join our Guild. We could really use someone as talented as you."
Jiang immediately began to dig for an opportunity.
"No, I don't have any intention of joining any organization right now."
Freya rejected the offer once more, and the matter of joining the Guild was left unresolved.
"Well then, shouldn't you be dealing with some other matters now?"
Erza changed the subject directly.
"Not just one."
