"Isaac..." 0

Miraj watched as Newton and Ginger approached, unable to resist moving closer. 0

"Are you okay?" 0

Erza also stepped in front of Newton. 0

"Shouldn't that be my question for you two?" 0

Newton looked at the two of them, relieved that they were not missing any limbs, though the wounds and fractures on their bodies were likely unavoidable. 0

"Newton, Newton, where's Natsu?" 0

Haru, clad in armor, flew over. As a Transcender, he was not like Lily; although he could fly, his lack of strength was still a significant issue. With this armor, he didn't have to worry about his cat even if faced with several Dragon Slayer Mages. 0

"Oh, I sent him away. Haru, it's best if you don't worry about him right now." 0

Although Newton smiled, Haru felt a chill run down his spine. It was better not to delve into that issue; he had a nagging feeling that something would go wrong. 0

"Oh right, Newton, the President is looking for you. You should hurry over." 0

Haru quickly took off. He still felt uneasy about Natsu and decided to search for him himself since he couldn't get any answers from Newton. 0

"Newton, just now..." 0

Miraj directly recounted the recent conflict with the Magic Council to Newton. 0

"Witch's Sin, huh?" 0

From the very beginning, Newton had already considered the implications of inviting members from the Dark Guild. Those individuals were relatively unknown and could not compare to those in Witch's Sin. The people in Witch's Sin were essentially the most critical group; their actions were too significant to keep under wraps. 0

"Now that we’ve hidden them away, we still haven’t reached a conclusion on how to handle the situation. The king will also lend a hand, and this time you’ve become a great hero. There are countless people in the kingdom who want to reward you." 0

Miraj looked at Newton with amusement. Although everyone had participated in the battle, Newton had truly shone. The entire ordeal began with Newton creating the Eclipse Gate. It concluded successfully thanks to his adept maneuvering, various alliances, and the resources he brought along. The victory was largely due to him. 0

"Rewards? I’d rather hope for fewer complications in the future." 0

With this incident behind him, Newton was eager to relax; he was utterly exhausted. In the past, Fairy Tail’s escapades had never been this severe—usually, it ended with just some financial losses. 0

But this time, there seemed to be no way out. Newton could only hope that the kingdom would grant him some benefits. 0

He let Jang take Miraj and Erza for treatment while he headed to where the guild presidents were gathered. 0

"You've arrived, Newton." 0

Makarov looked weary; the recent events had been enough to wear down even this old man, especially considering his age. 0

"Yes, President. Is everything alright?" 0

Newton's primary concern was for Makarov's health. To them, Makarov was like a father figure; if this old man were to fall, it would undoubtedly be a tremendous blow to everyone in Fairy Tail. 0

"It's nothing, just refusing to admit I'm getting old. Back in the day, I could fight for nights on end without any problem," Makarov said, though he indeed felt somewhat out of strength. Once magic could no longer suffice, physical prowess became crucial. 0

"Haha, soon it will be the world of the young," he chuckled. 0

The President of Serpent Empress's Scale was an elderly lady who appeared quite amiable. 0

"Hmph, so you old folks should hurry up and make way for the younger generation," Minerva remarked, naturally qualified to sit there as President. 0

"Minerva, don't say that. We're still young and need the older generation to guide us," Newton said with a smile, defending the elderly. 0

"Are you alright?" 0

"I'm fine." 0

Minerva shook her head and then looked at Newton. 0

"However, this time the casualties cannot be overlooked. If not handled properly, it could set back our future development significantly, especially for us. Therefore, I hope to receive some assistance from you." 0

Sword-Biting Tiger was in a precarious position, having seized power under unstable foundations. With the recent incident resulting in numerous deaths among Guild members, the situation was truly dire. 0

"Don't worry, Girl, us old-timers will lend you a hand. In the past, Geman and his Sword-Biting Tiger didn't treat us well, but you seem promising," one of them reassured her. 0

The others were generally pleased with Minerva's inclusion, as she was fundamentally different from Geman. 0

"Thank you," Minerva replied, aware that this was not the time to act aloof; it was best to remain humble. 0

"Well, the Guild can provide you with the largest interest-free loan possible. If you have any item requests, we can arrange for those to be purchased in advance. You can just go to Jin to collect them later," Newton assured her. This way, Minerva could ensure that her Sword-Biting Tiger would recover quickly and perhaps even become stronger than before. 0

"Alright, but how do we handle the civilians who died in this war?" Newton raised a crucial issue. If mishandled, public outrage could turn against all Guilds. While powerful, they relied on ordinary people for survival; if everyone turned against them, they would be no better than the Dark Guild. 0

"It's difficult because this is indeed our fault. Although Sir Newton had managed to evacuate some people beforehand, we couldn't move everyone without exposing ourselves. A significant number of civilians still perished. We... must have someone take responsibility for this," One Night stated realistically. But who would bear that burden? It was an undeniable mark of shame. 0

"I..." 0

Makarov thought about his age and decided he might as well take the blame, but Newton was quicker to respond. 0

"I'll take care of it; it's just right for me to step from the front to the back." 0

Newton's words made Makarov furrow his brow. 0

"Isaac, you should know that I intended for you to take my position." 0

"I know, but I'm the most suitable one here." 0

Newton was not wrong. First, he was the creator; then he was a Mage and also a Knight of the Kingdom. With these identities combined, any faction could easily find someone to take the blame. 0

"No way, I disagree!" 0

Makarov firmly opposed this; after all, this was about his successor. 0

"Alright, alright, let's discuss it further." 0

Newton smiled to reassure him. After all, the transition of the Guild would require some time. 0
