"What a surprise, I thought you had already left."
Gray looked at Ultia beside him. From the very beginning, he didn't have a good impression of her. Ultia gave off an aura filled with despair and darkness, making anyone feel uncomfortable at first glance. However, just now, it was thanks to Ultia's Arc of Time that she had repeatedly altered the attacks of the Subspecies Dragonman, saving countless lives.
Ultia's magic had been almost uninterrupted, and despite consuming a massive amount of magical energy, even with constant use of potions, her magic was quickly running out.
Feeling somewhat exhausted, Ultia leaned against Gray, grateful for his support.
"Damn it, why is this woman leaning on Lord Gray!"
Zhubian pulled out a handkerchief from somewhere and bit down hard on it, her eyes fixed angrily on Ultia, who was resting against Gray. However, she couldn't really take her anger out on Ultia, so she directed all her frustration towards the surrounding Dragon Clan members.
"All of you can go die! You bunch of nuisances interrupting my time with Lord Gray! Just disappear!"
Zhubian was strong; this was no joke. As one of the original Specter members known as Four Elements, her power was second only to Iron Dragon Gajeel. And a girl in a rage could be quite terrifying—after all, how many homicides stemmed from love turned to hate? So now, Zhubian erupted.
Although there was no water around, one must not forget that Zhubian was a woman who brought her own aura. She was once called the Rain Woman because she possessed powerful magic that could even influence the surrounding environment. As a result, she became known as the Rain Woman in others' eyes. But now, this very characteristic worked greatly in her favor. The atmosphere changed instantly as heavy rain began to pour down, boosting Zhubian's combat power once again.
Moreover, it wasn't just Zhubian whose strength increased; others benefited too. For instance, Laxus, whose Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic gained even greater power under the rain's influence. Poison Dragon Kebula didn't mind the rainy environment much; he was just slightly annoyed. The same went for the Wind Dragon. However, both Iron Dragon and Gajeel were somewhat displeased since iron rusts in moisture. Still, given that Gajeel had once been in the same guild as Zhubian, they managed to coordinate well together. With water present, Lucy's abilities could be fully unleashed; within the Zodiac, summoning Aquarius required water and she was quite formidable. However, Yukino Aguria found her strength significantly diminished because her main celestial spirits were Libra and Pisces—ironically, Pisces had a weakness to water. It's hard to believe that a fish would be weak against water! But it was true; there was nothing to be done about it. Thus, Yukino Aguria could only rely on her remaining spirits, Ophiuchus and Libra, to fight. Overall though, everyone’s combat power had increased.
The only tragic ones were Natsu and his fire dragon partner; after all, both were fire-type beings. It was impossible for them not to be affected by the humid air. Yet who cared about those two right now? Thus, it seemed that Natsu was the only one struggling on this battlefield.
"Become my food! Hahahaha!"
The Emerald Dragon Gildarts looked quite ferocious; combined with his unreliable personality, he indeed appeared terrifying.
"Gildarts, please don’t do this! We’ve met before, haven’t we?"
While other Dragon Slayer Mages were busy fighting, only Wendy remained facing off against Gildarts.
"Not interested; who are you?"
With a dismissive snort, Gildarts unleashed a breath attack directly at her.
"Uh-oh, Dragon's Roar."
Wendy directly countered with her own roar, attempting to fend off the attack with her magic.
However, Wendy's magical power was still somewhat lacking compared to Gildarts, so her roar was easily pushed back.
"Yikes!"
Surprisingly, no one was injured; everyone simply had their clothes dissolved.
"Hahaha, this is my unique invention: a spell that dissolves clothing. I don't like eating clothes."
Gildarts laughed triumphantly, especially at the sight of Wendy and the other girls covering their key areas.
"This is just like a perverted dragon!"
"Thunder Dragon's Spear!"
Just as Gildarts was reveling in his victory, a bolt of lightning struck down, taking the shape of a spear and landing on Gildarts' head. Laxus then descended upon Gildarts.
"Thunder Dragon's Roar!"
The close-range roar blasted directly onto Gildarts' head. Even with the formidable defense of a dragon, facing such a terrifying close-range attack had its limits. The lightning tore through Gildarts' scales, and blood gushed out in torrents.
"Roar!"
Gildarts was enraged; his previously playful gaze turned crimson, and his round pupils transformed into the slitted eyes unique to beasts.
He tilted his head back and shook it violently, trying to throw Laxus off. But Laxus had already jumped down from above, landing on a Puppet that appeared beneath him, allowing him to maneuver in mid-air.
"Thunder Dragon's Judgment!"
Drawing upon the storm clouds above, Laxus summoned the lightning even without magic power. A massive bolt of lightning descended.
"Dark Script: Pain!"
Sting directly inscribed dark runes onto Gildarts' body. However, compared to the might of a dragon, it was merely a tickle—like scratching an itch.
In fact, Sting never expected to resolve things this way. Due to time constraints, Thunder and Text Magic arrived almost simultaneously. The originally pure blue lightning was now tainted with a layer of darkness, merging with the dark text.
"Ahhhhh!"
Even Gildarts could not ignore this attack, his body trembling from the electric shock.
"Girl, leave now. This is not a battle you can participate in."
Laxus and the Thunder God Clan stood protectively in front of Wendy.
"No, I can fight too!"
Wendy refused to back down, standing firmly beside Laxus.
"Then go help somewhere else; I don't need you here."
Laxus smirked arrogantly and turned his gaze toward Gildarts.
"Come on then; I've never tried slaying a dragon before."
