Although what Future Rogge said sounded incredible, Newton felt that it might be the most plausible situation.
"You killed Sting? Then you also killed Frosy?"
The expression on Future Rogge's face clearly twisted into a snarl, but he quickly regained control of his emotions.
"Hmph, that doesn't matter anymore."
"Tell me, perhaps I can help the current Rogue after dealing with you, to prevent him from becoming like you now."
Newton spoke sincerely; he truly did not wish for Rogue to end up like this.
"Hmph, you'll have to survive first!"
Future Rogge did not believe he would lose. If Newton came with those Magical Puppets or teamed up with others, there might be a chance of defeating him. But if he came alone? That would be like delivering himself to the enemy!
"Shadow Dragon's Flickering Flash!"
This move had been used by Rogue before; it essentially transformed him into a shadow, circling around the enemy continuously. Newton saw Rogue use it now, but the speed was certainly incomparable to Future Rogge's. The elusive feeling of moving rapidly through the air without making any sound left behind shadows to obscure others' vision, serving as both a means of movement and protection.
However, that was all it was. Since it was merely a movement technique, it had no offensive power and was only suitable as a setup for the next move.
"Don't you get dizzy from all that spinning?"
Future Rogge had already circled behind Newton, his hand wrapped in magical energy. With just one careless moment from Newton, he could pierce through his back. But Newton's arm twisted at an odd angle and grasped Future Rogge's arm.
With a powerful grip, Newton seemed to hear the sound of gears turning and the cracking of bones in Future Rogge's arm.
"Roar of the Shadow Dragon!"
In close quarters, the roar left no place to hide. However, Newton did not intend to evade; with his free hand, he delivered an uppercut that sent Future Rogge into the air.
The roar had its weakness; its attack trajectory completely depended on the direction of its mouth. As long as someone interrupted or deflected it, the attack would naturally go awry.
Newton's hand was still tightly gripping Future Rogge, slamming him down onto the ground.
"Roar!"
However, Future Rogge was not fighting alone; beneath him was a dragon. The dragon turned its head and bit at Newton. Newton had no choice but to throw Future Rogge towards the giant dragon. The dragon prioritized Future Rogge, immediately rushing to catch him, which meant it did not continue attacking Newton. At that moment, a Gundam pounced in, directly landing on the dragon's back, and then its metallic fist came crashing down onto the dragon's back, reminiscent of Wu Song battling the tiger.
To protect Future Rogge, the dragon had to endure several blows from the Gundam. Though its skin was tough and thick, it could not help but let out a cry of pain.
Meanwhile, Newton quickly forged a large metal sword. The Gundam gripped the sword tightly and swung it at the dragon.
"Roar!"
The dragon was not foolish enough to refrain from fighting back. Although this one was indeed named for reproduction, its melee combat skills were equally formidable. Its massive tail was surprisingly agile, whipping through the air like a whip and striking the Gundam before the sword could land. The Gundam lost its balance and fell to the ground, turning the tables as the dragon now rode on top of it.
The dragon's claws lunged at the Gundam, tearing through its steel exterior as if it were made of paper, exposing wires sparking with electricity inside.
Yet even so, this was not enough to render the Gundam powerless. It reached out with both hands and tightly wrapped them around the dragon, exerting tremendous strength that left the dragon feeling dizzy.
At that moment, Newton also came over to cause trouble. The enormous steel sword in his hands resembled a two-story building. He realized that swinging such a weapon was impractical; instead, he decided to use its weight to toss it into the air and wait for it to fall back down.
However, there was no way Newton would be allowed such leisure. Although Future Rogge had nearly lost the use of one hand, his power remained formidable. Dragon scales appeared on his body, and his aura transformed to resemble that of a dragon.
"White Shadow Dragon's Thread!"
A black-and-white magical thread shot towards Newton like a spear. Despite having only one hand, there was no influence on his ability to cast magic. Furthermore, although Rogue had used dragon-taming magic, his magical energy consumption was minimal, allowing him to continue fighting against Newton.
Newton did not assume that incapacitating one of Future Rogge's hands would make him compliant; he quickly dodged aside. While the magical threads seemed numerous, there were gaps in their firing speed and intervals that allowed for potential evasion.
"Shadow Step!"
Future Rogge suddenly vanished into the shadows, catching Newton off guard; this was far stronger than his previous actions—this time he completely disappeared. Newton could not even sense where he had gone.
"Shadow Dragon..."
Newton threw a punch behind him but hit nothing at all.
At that moment, the Future Rogge leaped out from the shadows of two massive figures nearby.
“White Shadow Dragon's Fang!”
Unlike a roar, the magical energy shot towards Newton like a piercing drill. Newton instinctively raised his arm to block it, but unexpectedly, the attack was spinning like a drill bit, slicing through his prosthetic limb.
Newton's expression changed as he swiftly dodged to the side. Thanks to his mechanical arm, he managed to deflect some of the force, but it still took a significant toll.
“Your hand is already useless; what do you have left to fight me with?”
Future Rogge was no longer in a hurry and slowly approached Newton. Unfortunately, he forgot one crucial thing: villains often fall due to their excessive monologuing.
“What did you say?”
In a flash of light, Newton's mechanical arm returned to its original form, and all the mechanical debris on the ground vanished.
Future Rogge felt as if he were about to spit blood. This guy was proving to be incredibly difficult to deal with. Although his defenses were not high, that Mechanical Arm was not something that could be easily overcome. Coupled with terrifying offensive power and an astonishing recovery ability, as long as he didn’t take Newton down completely and allowed him to use Alchemy for repairs, this battle would never end. As for depleting Newton's magical energy? He had noticed that Newton hardly used magic during their confrontation; it was purely physical attacks. It seemed Newton was determined to outlast him. But if the dragon were dealt with, others would be free to join in, making things even more challenging for him.
For a moment, Future Rogge found himself in a rather passive position.
