However, the reality was far from ideal. After all, dragons were dragons, and ordinary people were no match for them. They could be easily slaughtered in droves. If it weren't for the Dragon Slayer Mage working alongside others from the Guild to combat the giant dragon, ordinary Mages would have likely been wiped out long ago. Even the Subspecies Dragonman produced by Future Rogge, controlled by him, could unleash powerful magical beams capable of easily piercing through a person's body. He frequently unleashed firearms that fired directly at the Subspecies Dragonmen or used his Mechanical Arm to emit lasers. The terrifying strength of his mechanical prosthetics pierced through the bodies of the Subspecies Dragonmen as if he were rampaging through them. If any Subspecies Dragonman attacked Newton, he either crafted armor or used his armor for defense. In short, the Subspecies Dragonmen could not inflict any influence on Newton as he swiftly approached the Eclipse Gate.
Some might wonder why Newton didn't charge in earlier if he could unleash such devastation. After all, attacking the Kingdom Army and confronting Subspecies Dragonmen were not equivalent; the former could be considered treason. Newton had no intention of leaving this country; carrying a label of betrayal would be quite troublesome. Moreover, there were ways to deal with it without needing to bear such a title.

However, Newton was somewhat surprised when Future Rogge turned around and unleashed a roar.
Newton was taken aback; he initially thought that Future Rogge intended to simply lift the Eclipse Gate and flee. But now it seemed that this was a ploy to bait him in. In a moment of haste, Newton raised his hand and braced himself against the roar. Fortunately, Newton never shortchanged himself; he had developed his mechanical prosthetics to an impressive level. Although the roar was powerful, it merely caused some peeling on the surface of his prosthetic limb. However, Newton himself became ragged from the impact of the roar.
"You cannot defeat me! I come from the future; my magical power is incomparably higher! Besides, I possess not only Shadow Dragon's Dragon Slayer Magic but also White Dragon's Dragon Slayer Magic! You will never be my opponent!"
"I'm rather curious..."
Newton coughed up blood twice. The opponent's magic was not only intangible like the Shadow Dragon's but also searing like the White Dragon's. That sensation was truly unbearable. His entire body felt as if it had been sliced by the Shadow Dragon's magic, while on the other side, he was burned by the White Dragon's Roar. Although White Dragon Sting and Shadow Dragon Rogue could form a more powerful mode similar to how Natsu absorbed the power of the Thunder Dragon, Sting wasn’t here.
