The first two battles were rather unremarkable; the clash between Mermaid's Heel and the Four-Headed Hound was just average, lacking any standout moments. After the dazzling performances of Fairy Tail in the first match against Demon Temple and Magic Power Measurement, everyone could only hope for more surprises from the two Fairy Tail teams. 0

Thus, the second match between Sword-Biting Tiger and Azure Wind Antelope was already a significant improvement in quality, yet it still went largely unnoticed by the audience. 0

The third match, however, brought cheers from the crowd as Laxus took the stage. Although he had been away for seven years and lacked the fame of Erza, known as the Fairy Queen, or Newton, the renowned Alchemist, Laxus was still a member of Fairy Tail. Moreover, many in the audience were Mages themselves; he was Makarov's grandson and the leader of the Thunder God Clan—titles that certainly drew attention. 0

Yet, to everyone's surprise, Laxus was being completely overwhelmed by Raven Tail. On stage, he showed no signs of unleashing his magic; he simply stood there passively taking hits, leading some to question whether he was merely acting. 0

Not only were the onlookers baffled, but even those from Fairy Tail found it hard to believe. They knew Laxus's strength; it was undoubtedly on par with or even superior to Erza's. So why was he being beaten so badly? 0

"What’s going on with Laxus?" 0

Everyone was confused. Meanwhile, Laxus stood in the center of the stage like a spectator at a circus, amused by everything unfolding before him. 0

"What is this nonsense?" 0

Before him stood five people, while two others—illusions of Laxus and his opponent—were engaged in an intense battle. 0

"Is this all there is?" 0

Laxus smirked lightly. 0

"Let this Illusion Magic deceive the audience, and then five against one? You can't possibly think that five of you can defeat me. No matter how many tricks you have, without the strength, you still won't make it to the stage." 0

Laxus could deeply relate to this. He had once tried to rely on his strength and cunning to strike at Fairy Tail, only to be played by Newton and then treated as a laborer or some kind of musician. It was only then that he truly understood what it meant to be truly scheming. Remembering Newton made Laxus shiver involuntarily. He also recalled what Newton had discussed with him before the competition. Newton had already talked to Laxus about matters related to Ivan Dolea, including the fact that this Raven Tail guild was established by his father. Laxus understood that he didn't have much emotional attachment to Ivan Dolea. Since Laxus grew up under Makarov, his feelings for Ivan Dolea were likely weaker than those he had for the members of the guild. The incident of Ivan Dolea being expelled from the guild was merely a stubborn fixation on his part. Now, facing Raven Tail, Laxus thought about whether he could resolve matters with Ivan Dolea here and prevent any leaks of information from Fairy Tail. 0

"Ivan Dolea isn't here?" 0

Laxus directly challenged. 0

"Heh heh, my foolish son, have you forgotten who gave you your power?" 0

Ivan Dolea, the very one battling against Laxus, acknowledged himself even without removing his mask, which saved Laxus quite a bit of trouble. Moreover, at that moment, Joan was frail and not particularly strong; the Magic Crystal containing the Dragon Slayer Magic within him was buried there by Ivan Dolea. 0

"Killing during the Great Magic Games would cause quite a bit of trouble. Don't worry, I won't kill you; I might just knock you out or hit you hard enough so that you can't bring out certain things, but that should still be possible." 0

Laxus remained unmoved by Ivan Dolea's words. Indeed, while Ivan Dolea had given him power, it was merely the seed of strength. Without Makarov's guidance over the years and practice with everyone, along with his own efforts during missions, he would never have reached this point. 0

"Just you alone? I have five people here!" 0

Ivan Dolea was enraged by Laxus's attitude. Initially, he had thought about trying to win over Laxus, but he never expected that Laxus would dare speak to him like this. 0

"Five people?" 0

In an instant, Laxus transformed into lightning and appeared right in front of Freya, who had defeated Lucy using underhanded tactics for Raven Tail. With a single punch, he knocked her unconscious. 0

"This punch is for Lucy." 0

Laxus said to the unconscious Freya, then turned to Ivan Dolea. 0

"Now it's four..." 0

Without waiting for Ivan Dolea to react, he appeared in front of Narubudinkumen, who was chasing Gray in the first match. 0

"This is for Gray." 0

With two punches, two members of Raven Tail lost consciousness. Laxus's fighting power reminded Ivan Dolea of the Makarov from years ago, that same overwhelming presence when transformed into a giant. He couldn't help but take a step back. 0

"Trash, just stay in the garbage can!" 0

Five people seemed like a lot, but against Laxus, numbers didn't determine the outcome. Resolving the battle took only an instant. By the time Ivan Dolea was taken down by Laxus and the Illusion Magic was dispelled, the audience finally realized what had happened. Five people lay on the ground, with only Laxus standing. A moment's thought made it clear; they were not only ashamed of Raven Tail's underhanded tactics but also shocked by Laxus's strength. One against five—though Raven Tail's methods were despicable, it didn't mean they were weak. The Great Magic Games featured the top eight teams in the nation; reaching that level wasn't something just anyone could do. Thus, Raven Tail's strength was certainly commendable; at least their performance in the earlier rounds hadn't been subpar. However, now being defeated 1v5 by Laxus raised doubts about Raven Tail's abilities. Many began to wonder if their earlier successes had been achieved through cheating. 0

With Raven Tail disqualified from the competition, there was no doubt that Laxus had won this match. The final match surprised everyone as well; Fairy Tail and Serpent Empress's Scale sent out two young women. But neither of them was ordinary. Wendy was an Empty Dragon Slayer Mage, while Sherria was an Empty God Slayer Mage. The two girls showcased what it meant to be formidable fighters with incredible recovery abilities, ultimately ending the match only after exhausting their opponents' magic. 0

And thus, the third match came to a close. 0
