“Uru, hurry up and help…”
Before Hua Yuan could finish speaking, Ice Rose pierced through Hua Yuan's chest.
“I’ve moved on; don’t call me that.”
“Isn’t that a bit much? Aren’t we supposed to be comrades in the same Guild?”
Gray frowned, realizing that the battle here seemed to have come to an end.
“Comrades? Don’t make me laugh. None of these guys, including Hades, or even my so-called mother, care about me at all. I am her daughter; why did she abandon me? And then she found you two. I longed for her embrace, yet she holds you both instead. There isn’t a single person in this world worth my affection.”
As their hands clashed, Ice Rose resembled a living being, merging the characteristics of both animal and inanimate magic. It could serve both offensive and defensive purposes. Even Gray, who was merely a disciple, couldn’t overlook the power of bloodline magic. However, Ultia’s words irritated Gray significantly.
“What do you know? Do you even understand the expression on Uru’s face every time she pulls out your clothes? In Uru’s heart, we can never replace you!”
Though the magic was powerful, Ultia’s heart was already in turmoil. What she had learned was not shape-shifting magic; what she could use now was merely a memory imprinted in her bloodline. Thus, despite the strength of her magic, as a Mage, she faltered and became a burden to Ultia.
As Gray, being a disciple, was quite familiar with this type of magic—its attack methods, strengths, and weaknesses—Uru had explained it all in detail back in the day. Unfortunately, neither he nor Leo had mastered it; instead, it was that absolute ice purity who learned faster than anyone else.
Melty naturally couldn’t just stand by and watch Ultia get overwhelmed; she immediately tried to rush over to help but was quickly stopped by Zhubian.
The two fans began to argue with each other while Kana and Lisanna stood by as mere spectators.
“Newton, should we not intervene yet?”
Kildas felt relieved now that his daughter was safe and no longer felt rushed.
“Forget it; let’s just head out.”
Newton decided to tackle the problem here. On the other side, Makarov and Hades had already begun their confrontation. It was somewhat unexpected that Haru and the others had not yet found the Demon Heart. Therefore, even with Laxus, the elderly and frail Makarov would struggle against the strong and robust Hades.
The two of them stepped out.
"Kildas..."
Kana looked at Kildas with a complex expression, feeling that she was still a bit weak.
"Oh, oh, oh! My daughter, are you alright?"
Kildas rushed over and hugged Kana, inspecting her from top to bottom like a concerned uncle.
"Calm down a bit!"
Kana punched him away.
"How's it going?"
Newton approached Lisanna.
"I'm fine, but it would be better if my brother-in-law could develop armor that allows us to use magic."
Lisanna was quite satisfied with the combat power of the armor.
"There's no helping it; this is considered the first generation of armor. We rushed this one, but once we return to the Guild, we can take our time to study it."
Newton felt helpless as well. Jabir's blueprints included various designs, such as countermeasures against Hulk and Magneto, among others. There were also designs for Dragon Knight armor, but they were truly pressed for time.
“Zhubian, step aside.”
The armored figure approached Zhubian and swiftly enveloped Melty, knocking her out in the same manner.
“Alright, Kildas, you and Kana can stop showing off now. Everyone, head towards President. Natsu has already dealt with his opponent, and Erza and the others have finished their fight as well. Now, we just need to take care of Purgatory Seven Affiliates and that Vice President. We still have to deal with Ultia, but it should be fine; Gray can handle it. The remaining S-Class members will support President, while those below S-Class should head to the Airship to assist Haru and the others in dealing with the magic from Demon Heart!”
Once again, the command rang out, but this time it was a signal for a full counterattack. Newton didn’t follow directly; instead, he went over to where Gray was and found that Ultia had already been frozen in Gray’s Ice Prison.
“Done?”
Newton shattered the ice, releasing Ultia, then used the same method to confine her again.
“Yeah, one less Idiot. I suppose we can consider this a complete victory?”
“Not quite yet; there are still some Lackey left, and that crucial President. Let’s head to the camp. I need to take this guy back; I can’t lead you anymore.”
“Don’t worry; I can make it there on my own after seeing that scene.”
Gray nodded and pulled out a vial of healing potion. He had lost quite a bit of blood during the recent battle and was feeling a bit anemic.
“President… no, Hades, this time in the war, you’ve already lost.”
Listening to the news relayed by the armored figure beside him, Makarov couldn’t help but feel gratified. His children had grown up! He hadn’t witnessed their confrontation with the Six Demons, so he only knew his children had brought him pride without feeling it firsthand. This time was different; he could almost watch the entire process unfold as they took down a major figure from a Dark Guild. This news would be enough for him to boast about for a year.
“What a bunch of useless fools.”
In contrast, Hades was far from pleased. His strongest subordinates had been thoroughly defeated and captured, leaving him feeling utterly frustrated.
"Just Makarov, do you really think you can defeat me?"
However, Hades remained confident. As the mentor of Makarov, his mastery of magic had indeed surpassed that of an ordinary Mage.
"By the Thirty-Two Style!"
Makarov wasted no time; it seemed there was no way to resolve this peacefully. He cast a spell that surrounded Hades, but he found himself at a disadvantage. Just as he completed the Thirty-Two Style, Hades had already constructed a more complex Ninety-Six Style, rendering Makarov's attack ineffective against Hades' defense.
"This magic of yours is truly disappointing."
Hades retaliated with the One Hundred and Eight Style. Makarov couldn't construct his defenses quickly enough and could only dodge. However, with each dodge, the rhythm of the battle fell into Hades' control. Moreover, Hades had a chain magic that could stretch and retract at will, constantly disrupting Makarov.
Unfortunately, if Makarov were alone, he would indeed be in trouble. But from the very beginning, Newton had left one more person behind.
"Thunder Dragon's Spear!"
The thunderbolt interrupted Hades' spellcasting, and Laxus transformed into lightning, sending Hades flying.
"My old man, this world now belongs to the young!"
