Indeed, the king still did not trust Jabir, and perhaps he did not even believe Erza. Otherwise, there would be no way that so many Iron Dragons would be completely silent.
Although the Iron Dragons before him were still far from the king's, their sheer numbers were overwhelming. They formed a proper military formation, and even more Iron Dragons were slowly emerging from underground.
"Are they all hiding underground?"
Newton smirked as he watched an Iron Dragon rescue the king.
"Rip him apart!"
The king commanded from his mount, and the Iron Dragons began to move.
"Hah."
Newton was decisive, aiming his palm at an Iron Dragon. A beam of laser shot out, and one Iron Dragon exploded.
"Boom!"
But for every one that fell, thousands more stood tall, with countless missiles soaring through the air.
"**!"
Newton's words came out garbled as he immediately dashed toward the formation of Iron Dragons. At least he didn't believe they would dare to harm their own kind. However, Newton seemed to forget that in traditional narratives, machines like these often had self-destruct functions.
The self-destruction of robots was far more terrifying than missiles. In an instant, Newton found himself covered in debris. Fortunately, he had a shield powered by his reactor; otherwise, he would have been seriously injured. Yet Newton's situation was still dire. The energy provided by the reactor was substantial but not infinite. The Iron Man's reactor had already consumed energy several times, not to mention Newton's reckless use of lasers earlier and the fact that there were still so many enemies left.
He could no longer afford to use powerful attacks like lasers; he needed to conserve energy for kinetic force. With a terrifying punch, he smashed through the armor of an Iron Dragon, hoping to send it flying away from him.
"Boom!"
The Iron Dragon he destroyed seemed unconcerned; once damaged, it self-destructed. This time, Newton truly got splattered.
"Ugh!"
He pulled a shard from his abdomen and suddenly regretted not making himself a suit of armor. At that moment, he had thought it best not to raise the king's suspicions, and who could have predicted this would drag on for so long? But now he couldn't just walk away; leaving Gerard and Jabir behind might jeopardize their chances of revolution. Although Jabir was also a Cheat Code holder like him, relying solely on himself to fight against an entire nation was unrealistic. In movies, Iron Man had offered his own suit to appease the government. In the animated Flashpoint storyline, Flash altered time and trapped Superman underground where he could not be seen. So one should never feel invincible; you never know when you might be betrayed. Therefore, Newton believed it was best for him and his companions to help clear obstacles for Gerard and his fellow countrymen.
"Looks like you need some help?"
A synthetic voice, like that of Iron Man, echoed as Jabir appeared in mid-air, his tone casual.
"How many can you handle?"
Newton sighed in relief; at least Jabir's arrival was a significant improvement.
"Me? Probably about one-tenth."
Jabir shrugged.
"One-tenth?"
Newton frowned, and Erza had also come along. Would this be enough to hold them off?
"Have Idiot notify Gerard to hold off on sending us away. Otherwise, dealing with these guys will be quite troublesome for you."
"No need for that."
Jabir shrugged again.
"Do you really want to face the king with these guys against you?"
Newton couldn't understand what Jabir was planning.
"Of course not. While I can only handle about one-tenth, I have my own legion."
As soon as Jabir finished speaking, dozens of armored figures rushed out from a nearby location, looking slightly different from the armor Jabir currently wore.
"Knowledge is power."
With Jabir's command, the Iron Dragon began to face its downfall. The Iron Dragon was strong, but its strength was limited. It primarily relied on numbers to overwhelm opponents. However, when numbers failed to create absolute dominance and bombs and artillery had limited effects against the armor, the Iron Dragon was thoroughly suppressed.
"Damn it, Jabir! I should have taken you out from the very beginning!"
The king let out a furious roar.
"Your Majesty, you lost the moment you decided to seize magical power. One should not be too greedy; the more greed consumes you, the worse your end will be."
Jabir remained unfazed, his armor sweeping through the Iron Dragon like a scythe under Idiot's control. Of course, there were some damaged pieces, but with Newton, Jabir still had Erza by his side. Given their fighting strength, the king's defeat was already a foregone conclusion.
"Dance of the Wheel!"
Like a Valkyrie from legend, the Fairy Queen charged into battle, instantly clearing a large area around her.
"Fire Dragon's..."
"Dragon's..."
"Iron Dragon's..."
"Roar!"
Flames and steel clashed and fused together, creating an incredible force that carved a straight path through the chaos.
"Create Ice... Great Ice Hammer!"
An Ice Hammer smashed into an Iron Dragon, sending it flying as Gray approached.
"You've already lost, Father. Surrender."
Gerard stood tall behind him, accompanied by the imposing figure of Lily. Meanwhile, countless Transcenders flapped their wings in the air. At that moment, the king and his army faced enemies from all sides.
"Surrender? You ungrateful wretch! Traitor! As long as I obtain eternal magical power, I will slaughter every last one of you! I will leave no traitor alive!"
The king shouted fiercely, but everyone present understood that his time was up.
"Truly, power can drive one mad," Newton shook his head with a sigh before raising his hand.
"Newton, don't..."
Gerard couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and disbelief. No matter how much he disliked his father, he couldn't truly allow Newton to kill him.
"Well, are you ready?"
Newton's words prompted everyone from Fairy Tail to nod in agreement, but Gerard was momentarily taken aback.
"Then let the show begin!"
In an instant, everyone launched their attacks, but this time, they were not targeting the king; instead, they were wreaking havoc indiscriminately.
"What are you doing?!"
Gerard shouted in anger.
"What are we doing?"
Newton donned a mask.
"Hahaha, Your Highness, I want to play a game with you. Magic or your people, which will you choose?"
