"Talk? What qualifications do you have to talk to us?"
Brian's expression was strange.
"You don't really think that just because of Lisa, you can stand on the same level as us, do you?"
"I don't think so, but aren't you going to give up your treasure vault?"
Newton's tone was somewhat distressed, followed by a series of explosive sounds.
"What did you do!"
All the accumulated effort seemed to have gone up in smoke. Brian felt like he was about to go crazy.
"What’s going on? Why is it so noisy?"
A voice, unfamiliar yet striking, made Newton notice that even the members of the Six Demon Generals shivered involuntarily.
"Nightshade, you're awake?"
Nightshade? One of the Six Demons, Newton had heard this name before, but the information was pitifully scarce. He only knew that no one had ever seen this guy get hurt.
"Who disturbed my sleep?"
Newton couldn't shake the feeling that something felt different just now.
"It’s him!"
Angel, still somewhat cowardly, immediately directed Nightshade's gaze toward Newton.
"It’s you."
Newton felt as if he were being targeted by a malevolent spirit under Nightshade's intense stare.
"Ah, because it seems I've found a better place to sleep, a place where you won't be disturbed."
From the very beginning, the other party had been sleeping, what a huge case of morning grumpiness! Newton wasn't entirely sure, as anger was a tricky thing; it could vanish in an instant or require an outlet to be released.
"Really?"
Fortunately, Newton guessed correctly. Although he was one of the Six Demons, the Night had its own brutality. Surprisingly, he really enjoyed sleeping; his dream was simply to find a place where he could sleep peacefully without being disturbed.
"Night, don't listen to this guy. He is our enemy."
Brian immediately sensed something was off and wanted to command Night, but Night merely turned around and shot him a glare. Brian quickly shifted his approach.
"Night, have you forgotten? Once we have Nirvana, you can sleep as much as you want!"
Night's gaze turned dangerous.
"So, I never claimed I came here to ruin your chances of obtaining Nirvana. It seems I've already passed that point; I'm here to make a deal."
Newton's words left the Six Demon Generals momentarily stunned. Then Brian looked at Newton with confusion before glancing at the already exploded warehouse.
"Do you believe I could kill you right now and actually just want to turn you into a wraith?"
"No, no, your warehouse is fine."
Newton shook his finger.
"This time I'm merely here to demonstrate that I am capable of making a deal with you, and while your warehouse explosion looks severe, in reality, nothing significant has happened."
"And those guys..."
"Just some pawns. After all, even though our Circus has quite a few members, there are still not enough people doing the work. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to come out every time."
Newton wore a rather helpless expression.
"Is that so? Then kill him."
Brian did not believe a single word of Newton's statement and directly signaled for him to eliminate the captured Mu.
"Alright."
Newton nonchalantly pulled a bomb from his pocket and tossed it onto Mu.
"Boom!"
Not even a trace was left.
Even Brian was taken aback by Newton's decisiveness, and he became wary of him. Collaborating with someone who could so casually discard lives was akin to courting danger.
"Very well, how do you intend to trade with me?"
Brian watched Newton warily.
"Well, could you first help me with the musician's poison?"
Then, as if realizing something, Newton continued, "Of course, if you can provide me with someone as a bodyguard, then the antidote wouldn't matter much. After all, this guy isn't very bright; his only value is to shield me from harm, and he did quite well this time."
There were only six members in the Six Demons; how could they spare another? Brian gestured for Kebula to administer the antidote to Laxus. As soon as Laxus got up, he prepared to throw a punch, but upon seeing Cobra, he grudgingly lowered his hand.
Kebula smirked at this, while Newton had already approached Laxus and firmly grasped him.
"Indeed, you're only fit to take blows. This fellow beside you is far more sensible."
Kebula finally mocked Laxus a bit.
"I'll beat that annoying face of yours sooner or later."
Laxus was held back by Newton, so he could only throw out some tough words.
"Alright, then this subordinate of mine..."
Brian's subordinate was, of course, Lisa, who had been knocked out by the gas. Newton seemed completely unconcerned.
"Don't worry, this guy is fine. What I used on her was just some trivial stuff."
Newton took a vial and poured the liquid inside into Lisa's mouth, who was already laughing so hard she could barely breathe. Then Lisa stopped laughing, drenched in sweat, lying on the ground as if she were exhausted, staring at Newton in terror.
"Ah, actually I have something that can help someone sleep soundly..."
"Give it to me."
When Newton said this, he had been watching the Night closely. The Night took the bait and immediately approached Newton, clearly intent on killing him if he didn't hand over the item.
"Hiss..."
It turned out to be just a regular hypnotic gas, but it was still quite effective. The Night collapsed instantly, accompanied by soft snoring.
"Alright, what can you trade with me?"
Although he didn't think the other party had anything he wanted, it was worth listening to; the other party seemed somewhat interesting.
"Well, how about information regarding the Regular Guild?"
"Information?"
Brian chuckled lightly, having expected something more substantial. If it was just information, he had plenty of that himself.
"Well, it's not the kind of general information you might think, like someone's personality or how the Regular Guild plans to deal with you, or how much they know about your actions..."
"You..."
Brian understood exactly what the other party meant; selling information on both sides was a bit excessive.
"Heh, we have to make a living too. Of course, if I could get involved in the Nirvana matter, that would be great. After all, I quite like who I am now. If I were to get caught up in your troubles, that would be quite disastrous."
Nirvana was indeed a terrifying concept, and Brian could see that Newton was clearly worried about him. If Brian refused, Newton would likely sell their information to the Regular Guild without hesitation. If he agreed, it would probably lead to the opposite outcome.
"Alright, you can participate in this mission, but it can only be the two of you."
This effectively prevented Newton from bringing anyone else along, though Brian was unaware that Newton was already planning for just two people.
"Then, let's have a pleasant cooperation."
With that, both parties departed. However, beneath them, a hand reached out.
