Soon, everyone from Fairy Tail gathered at the venue for Sister Fairy Tail. However, this time there were no townspeople present, and the atmosphere among the group was quite tense.
"President! Newton is back!"
The sharp-eyed quickly spotted Makarov and Newton, and everyone's attention immediately turned to the two of them.
Newton was supporting Makarov, who appeared slightly weak, looking as if his spirit was not very high.
"President..."
"President."
"President!"
The crowd parted to make way for Makarov, who walked to the center and managed a smile.
"What’s going on? Why is everyone gathered here instead of attending the Harvest Festival?"
"President, we know everything. You don’t need to hide it from us anymore."
Some were less patient and immediately began shouting.
"That guy who calls himself ugly has already told us everything. President, what are we supposed to do now?"
"I absolutely will not allow you to kill Laxus!"
As everyone turned their gaze toward Laxus, the Thunder God Clan immediately stepped in front of him.
"Isn't it because of you guys that that ugly thing got in here? If it weren't for this guy, how could we possibly let the Dark Guild's people break in?"
Immediately, some began to blame Laxus. The root of all this trouble truly lay with him.
"Hmph, this Guild has become weak because of you pathetic folks. How dare the Dark Guild step on us!"
Laxus's desire to reform Fairy Tail stemmed from an outing where he overheard others mocking Fairy Tail. That became the direct catalyst for his actions. Now, with two people and a bunch of magical creations instilling fear in these members, Laxus felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. Was this what the old man's family and Guild had become? Ridiculous.
"Old man, you have the remote control, right?"
Before Newton and the others returned, everyone had already come to an understanding. The remote control was not in their hands, so it must be with Newton and Makarov, who had not yet arrived.
"That's right, the remote is indeed in my hands."
Makarov nodded, his gaze complex as he looked at Laxus.
Laxus smirked mockingly and then tossed the remote from his pocket.
"Go ahead and kill me, old man, just like you drove your son away for the sake of the Guild back in the day."
The Thunder God Clan immediately sprang into action. Sting snatched the remote into his hands while Evangeline and Bigusro closely guarded him.
"What do you think you're doing, Laxus?"
Sting gripped the remote tightly.
"Put that thing down, Sting."
Laxus spoke in a calm tone, yet his words carried an undeniable resolve.
"But even if we press that button, it doesn't necessarily mean everyone will die, right?"
Indeed, the ugliness had passed; at most, it would just cause some destruction. But who could survive? Who would choose to die? No one wanted to die.
"I'll put that thing down."
Laxus looked seriously at Jett Sting. Jett gritted his teeth and placed the remote on the ground, but he stepped closer to Laxus.
"If you die, I will follow you, Master."
"Jett Sting, do you know what you're saying?"
"Oh come on, Master Laxus, don't try to talk sense into this guy. You know how stubborn Jett Sting is; once he sets his mind on something, not even a herd of cattle can pull him back."
Evangeline also sat down next to Laxus.
"Honestly, you all are making me feel quite awkward."
Bigusro scratched his head and then sat beside the three of them.
"Laxus, let's duel!"
Suddenly, Natsu shouted and swung a fist wrapped in flames toward Laxus.
"Get lost!"
Natsu was clearly no match for Laxus.
"You’re too weak."
"That counts as one for me. Let me see what you’re really capable of."
After being offline for several chapters, Gajeel logged back in, attacking with conductive iron against lightning. Well, he was quite the inventive kid.
"Lord Gray, let’s just die together like this!"
Zhubian had no idea when Gray had gotten together with him. Gray could easily freeze an enemy into an ice sculpture, but faced with Zhubian's fervent affection, he was completely flustered.
"Hey, don’t pull down my pants!"
Well, the exhibitionist Gray was now desperately holding onto his pants to keep them from falling down, which wasn’t an easy task.
Salusuk let out a furious roar.
"Dolaire, Reby is mine!"
"Bastard, Reby is mine!"
"Ah, now this is the atmosphere of a party."
Kana hugged a large barrel of alcohol and drank heartily, while everyone else acted as if the chaos above them didn’t exist, going about their business as usual, even more lively than usual.
"Ah, this is what a Guild is all about."
Makarov threw the remote control onto the ground as well, sitting calmly at the table with a serene expression, one hand holding a wine glass as he took a sip.
"Are you not afraid of getting hit?"
Erza and Miraj didn’t start arguing; instead, they both approached Newton, with Miraj directly asking the question.
"Getting hit? Don’t you think it’s worth it?"
Newton gestured for them to look at Laxus, who still wore an arrogant expression but no longer felt out of place. His aura blended harmoniously with everyone from Fairy Tail.
"What are those things above your head?"
Erza looked up at the sky.
"Just some stuff," Newton chuckled lightly.
"You, this way might actually solve the problem completely."
Miraj sighed in relief; it was best that everyone was okay in the end.
"Don’t worry, I have a plan. Besides, this mess wasn’t just a spur-of-the-moment idea. It seems the Six Demon Generals are up to something lately, so I plan to check it out, which means I need an identity."
Newton's words made Miraj a bit anxious.
"But that's a Dark Guild."
"Don't worry, as long as I don't reveal my Dark Guild Emblem, no one will recognize me. This time, I plan to bring Laxus along. After all, even if everyone forgives him for this incident, a necessary punishment is still unavoidable. It's just right to take him away from the Guild for a while."
"I also..."
Miraj clearly intended to go as well.
"That's fine."
Newton did not refuse; after all, when dealing with the Dark Triad, having more people was naturally better.
"However, you should stay behind. The Guild needs at least one S-Class to hold the fort. It won't be long before we need to discuss how to deal with the Six Demon Generals. At that time, you and Erza can see if Kildas or Mister Gang can make it. If they can come in time, let them join us. Having one S-Class and the President at the Guild will be enough. If they can't come, you can decide who else should go."
"Alright, but you must be careful."
Soon, the time arrived, and a Magic Screen appeared before everyone, displaying that ugly face.
"Hahaha! I didn't expect your final choice to be so surprising. Now I can offer you a choice; those two remote controls are still valid."
But no one looked at the remote controls on the ground; they seemed to be nonexistent.
"It seems you've truly made up your minds. Sigh, in this day and age, it's hard to trust others; I guess I'll have to handle this myself."
Laxus's collar began to beep ominously, and at the same time, the Magical Items in the air lit up.
"Explode!"
"Boom!"
Everyone felt a mix of sadness and indignation, but there was nothing to be done. After all, Laxus had been splattered with Flour, and the Magical Item in the air had exploded into one firework after another.
“Puhahahaha!”
The ugly figure in Influence burst into laughter.
“Surprised? Unexpected? I’m just ugly, a being that gets teased and teases others. I hope we can play this game together again next time. Hahaha…”
In the end, the scene shifted into a state of chaos, and then disappeared a few seconds later.
It was dark—very dark. Even Flour couldn't hide Laxus's grim expression.
“I’m going to tear that guy apart!”
Newton decided it was best to infiltrate the Dark Guild alone.
