Fairy Law, one of the Three Great Magics of Fairy Tail, allows the caster to judge their enemies or allies based on personal judgment and directly attack their minds. Looking at Joseph's overall grayish state, Newton couldn't help but sigh; this could be considered a one-hit kill, right? It truly deserves to be the top secret of the Guild. Just how powerful must the other two magics be? 0

Seeing such a terrifying magic, Newton began to seriously contemplate whether he should revisit that door. Since that exchange, he hadn't seen it in a long time, and he found it hard to bring himself to part with a piece of his own body. 0

"But, strength..." 0

Newton sighed helplessly, weakly clenching his fists. 0

"What's wrong? Is there something unresolved?" 0

Miraj approached Newton, noticing the turmoil on his face and wondering what had happened. 0

"Nothing much, just troubled by some matters." 0

Newton shook his head and sighed again. 0

"Can I help?" 0

"No need, I'll think it over some more. It's just a matter related to Alchemy." 0

Newton smiled and declined his lover's kind offer. 0

From then on, the aftermath was none of Fairy Tail's concern. After all, while they could deal heavy damage to their enemies, saving people and handling the aftermath was another story entirely. 0

However, since this was indeed a matter concerning Fairy Tail, it wouldn't do for them not to be involved. Thus, the heavy responsibility fell solely on Newton's shoulders. 0

"Ah, what a hassle." 0

Newton followed the members of the Magic Council through a mere formality. This trial was indeed simpler than the last one; previously, it could have involved Joseph or the President of the Regular Guild, but now, due to the kidnapping incident, it had taken a darker turn. 0

The Four Elements were only lightly punished since they were coerced, and after a symbolic reprimand, everyone was released. 0

"You Fairy Tail folks really know how to stir up trouble," Zigrein said, leaning against the wall with a hint of exasperation. Even he rarely encountered a guild that could cause so much chaos; not even Dark Guilds had such a reputation. 0

"I don't want to either," Newton replied, expressing his own despair as he pulled out an amulet from around his neck. 0

"I thought maybe I was just having bad luck lately, so I got this amulet hoping it would help." 0

Zigrein understood that some people still believed in lucky charms, but he found himself struggling to keep up with the mindset of these individuals. 0

"I think going out for some fun might be a good opportunity," Zigrein suggested as he pulled out two tickets. 0

"I happen to have two tickets for a hot spring. You and that Miraj can go enjoy yourselves; it might help lift your spirits." 0

"Oh? A hot spring?" 0

Newton took the ticket, and indeed it was a ticket to a rather famous hot spring. 0

A conspiracy? Newton instinctively thought this, but what kind of conspiracy involved bringing himself and his girlfriend to a hot spring? Was someone trying to secretly film his girlfriend? 0

Newton immediately looked at Zigrein with suspicion. 0

"Did you install a camera there? Are you trying to secretly film my girlfriend Mira?" 0

"Huh?" 0

Zigrein genuinely had no idea how Newton's mind worked and looked at him in disbelief. 0

"I'm not that bored." 0

Zigrein rubbed his forehead. 0

"I just wanted to be friends with you. This ticket is simply my way of trying to get on your good side." 0

"Really, no strings attached? There are no cameras there?" 0

Newton continued to look at Zigrein with skepticism. 0

"Absolutely not." 0

Zigrein shook his head vigorously. 0

"Ha, then thank you very much." 0

Newton smiled and waved the ticket in his hand before leaving. 0

"Why did you send him away?" 0

Ultia looked at Zigrein with some confusion. This time, Zigrein had actually arranged for Erza to come to a coastal city because the Paradise Tower had recently been completed. Now, they just needed a human vessel to resurrect Jelf, and as for the magical power required, the Magic Council's resources were Zigrein's target. 0

"Because I have a really bad feeling about that guy, so I'd rather keep him far away from Erza." 0

Zigrein's real name was Gerard, and he was Erza's childhood friend. The two had been captured by the Paradise Tower at the same time and met there. In an attempt to escape, Gerard initiated a rebellion, but it failed. Later, Erza awakened her magic and was saved. However, Gerard was also seduced by the idea of resurrecting Jelf. He had been acting with that goal in mind ever since. 0

Newton was unaware of all this, but he certainly did not let his guard down around Zigrein. After all, one does not offer kindness without ulterior motives; Newton knew that the other party definitely had some scheme in mind. Either there was something wrong with the place he was going to, or there was something wrong elsewhere that Zigrein intended to distract him from. 0

"What a hassle." 0

Newton looked at the ticket in his hand. His speculation wasn't wrong, but speculation was as good as nothing because in the end, it led to no results. He just had to be prepared for the worst. Newton thought that if it were at the hot springs, there might not be any problems since he and Miraj were indeed strong enough to counter any conspiracy. However, if it involved someone else, this time Lucy's situation really worried Newton. 0

"Should we use that thing?" 0

After Newton returned, he did not go directly back to the Guild, but instead went to his own Guild and locked himself in the laboratory. 0

On the table in the laboratory lay a card that looked no different from Newton's Guild membership card. However, Newton knew that this item held the value of a double-edged sword. If used wisely, it could become the sharpest weapon against his enemies; but if misused, he would find himself facing the world alone. 0

“Mira, what should we do?” 0

With no other options, Newton returned to the Guild to discuss with his girlfriend. 0

“That thing…” 0

Miraj was also surprised and troubled. The latest card created by Newton had a tracking function, though it was not very powerful; it could only cover a city at most. But considering the current coverage of Newton's Guild, possessing this item meant one would always be under Newton's watchful eye. Just imagine how it would feel to be monitored by someone day and night—much like being in America—but Newton was not a superpower like that. 0

“Let it go; maybe it's not as serious as you think.” 0

Miraj did not want Newton to take risks and tried to think positively. What if he was just overthinking? 0

“Alright then, would you like to go soak in a hot spring with me?” 0

Newton buried these thoughts deep within himself and decided not to dwell on it any longer. 0
