The central building appeared quite peculiar; it was a pyramid-shaped platform that Huang Yunfeng estimated to be larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza. It covered an area of at least one square kilometer, but instead of a pointed top, it had a deep blue spherical object that emitted an ethereal glow, flowing gently. Although Huang Yunfeng had never seen anything like it before, he could tell that this blue sphere radiated light unlike any known substance.
"This is my Danqi," Shi Qingyuan said calmly. "Once we enter, I can use my Danqi to transform your physique. It will greatly benefit your future cultivation, but you must endure some discomfort."
Before Huang Yunfeng could prepare himself, the Flying Artifact of Amoeba Planet surged into that blue light. As they got closer, Huang Yunfeng realized just how immense and astonishing that blue glow was; it effortlessly engulfed their small Flying Artifact.
The small spacecraft capable of interstellar travel could not shield him from the light emitted by Shi Qingyuan's Danqi. Huang Yunfeng experienced no pain; however, as soon as they entered, the Relic bracelet he wore on his wrist glowed dark red as if protecting him. The Azure Wind Sword resting in his palm also emitted a greenish light that wrapped around him. The interplay between the dark red glow and Danqi's blue radiance left Huang Yunfeng momentarily bewildered about what he truly felt.
In that moment, Huang Yunfeng sensed that his body was composed of liquid; it underwent strange twists and transformations beyond imagination. When the small Flying Artifact of Amoeba Planet emerged from the other side of Danqi's light, Huang Yunfeng already felt different.
With a pop, his entire body disintegrated into countless blue light spots; yet he still felt his existence intact. When he focused his mind slightly, in an instant, his body returned to its original form but now radiated a faint blue glow that added an air of mystery to his previously carefree demeanor.
Even without Shi Qingyuan saying anything, Huang Yunfeng knew he was no longer an ordinary mortal.
After experiencing these changes, Huang Yunfeng stood still for a moment before gently urging his mind power. Following his thoughts, a blue ethereal light burst forth from his left arm and transformed into an unusual beam of light that extended far into the air, tracing a graceful arc. When this blue beam touched the hull of Amoeba Planet's small Flying Artifact and then retracted back into its normal arm shape, his Azure Wind Sword suddenly emitted a joyful chime as its greenish-blue light intertwined with him, filling Huang Yunfeng with immense satisfaction.
Seeing Huang Yunfeng's transformation, Shi Qingyuan smiled slightly and said with pride, "It usually takes at least two hundred years of cultivation to reach the level of an initial Starlight Body. Ever since I escaped from Heavenly Tribulation and obtained this Taiyuan Star Palace, I successfully cultivated my Danqi. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to help you achieve Starlight Body so quickly."
Upon hearing Shi Qingyuan's words, questions involuntarily slipped from Huang Yunfeng's lips: "Starlight Body? What is that?"
Although he still didn't fully understand, after spending over ten days interacting with Taiyuan Star Palace and Shi Qingyuan, Huang Yunfeng gradually accepted his perspective. The Cultivator utilized his body as a vessel to store energy, allowing him to achieve a certain standard at which he could separate his consciousness from his physical form and exist independently. This is known as the Starlight Body. Moreover, he employed the methods taught by Shi Qingyuan to discover that there were many similar existences on Earth.
According to Shi Qingyuan, cultivators have emerged throughout history on Earth. Although there has been some decline in recent times, there are still quite a few who have transcended their physical bodies to become initial-stage Starlight Bodies.
As Shi Qingyuan explained, while the Starlight Body can traverse the universe, it consumes an immense amount of energy. An initial-stage Starlight Body cannot leave its own Star system. The distance between two Stars is measured in light-years, and one would need nearly the power of a third evolution of the Starlight Body to undertake interstellar travel. Few cultivators on Earth have passed this stage.
The evolution of the Starlight Body is limitless; however, as one progresses, each subsequent evolution requires increasingly longer periods to accumulate energy. Shi Qingyuan did not hide this from Huang Yunfeng; he himself had only reached the sixth evolution after cultivating for over two thousand years.
As for Danqi, although the Starlight Body can store vast amounts of energy, it ultimately has its limits. To gather high-purity energy, external energy storage is the only option. Danqi is one method of storing energy externally.
After more than ten days of cultivation, Huang Yunfeng had become proficient in utilizing the power of the Starlight Body and had also sensed memories from his past life through Sarira Beads. Huang Yunfeng's past life, Elder Jiaxiang, was exceptionally righteous and did not wish to take advantage of others' misfortunes; he even helped Shi Qingyuan during his tribulation. However, the situation was perilous at that time; ultimately, Shi Qingyuan succeeded in overcoming his tribulation and fully completed his sixth evolution into a Starlight Body. Meanwhile, Elder Jiaxiang suffered severe injuries and was forced to reincarnate.
