Fortunately, this extraordinary phenomenon occurred in an uninhabited area; otherwise, if it had been captured on camera, it would surely have made its way into various curiosity magazines, providing plenty of topics for conversation over tea.

The theme of this selection conference was straightforward and clear.
The perspective that strength is king had penetrated deep into the bones of all monsters. There was nothing to complain about when it came to speaking through power.
The Gouli Heaven's Tome was already ranked as the number one treasure in the Dark World; almost everyone among the monster races knew that opening it would lead them to another world rich in resources and wonders. Although the International Demon Alliance had been fragmented for a long time, it still appeared to be a complete organization on the surface. Each region had its own executive Chairman managing local affairs. Fang Lin Kong participated in the Asia-Pacific Region selection under the name Huan Huo, which limited his ability to showcase his full strength. He encountered several hidden powerful monsters whose demonic power levels were several times higher than his own. Fortunately, although the preliminary rounds were thrilling and intense, Fang Lin Kong managed to pass through without any danger. Zhou Qingzhe had made significant investments by constructing dedicated Battle Barriers in all five major regions. The main competition venue for the Asia-Pacific Region was in Japan. On a human level, Huan Huo was a resident of China with a precious Beijing Household Registration. On paper, he also owned a sizable trading company with over ten employees who rarely saw their Boss.
Thus, Fang Lin Kong traveled to this island nation using a tourist passport under the guise of business trade.
Upon landing at Tokyo Airport, Fang Lin Kong immediately sensed dozens of powerful demonic auras overwhelming him. As he casually looked around, he spotted many extremely suspicious individuals. Although Liexiezi insisted that Fang Lin Kong must participate in this expedition to the Gouli Continent, both Zhou Qingzhe and Fang Lin Kong believed that under fair principles, Fang Lin Kong did not need any extra help.
Along the way, the atmosphere could be described as charged with demon energy. Some impatient demons opted not to use transportation and instead relied on their own abilities, either sprinting between skyscrapers or utilizing Teleportation to rush past. The closer they got to their destination, the denser the demon energy became. Fang Lin Kong's adherence to rules made him a rarity among them.
Japan's highways were well-constructed, and as a major automobile-producing nation, the car ownership rate among its citizens was quite high. Every weekend or holiday, many Japanese people enjoyed traveling.
The disparity in living standards created a stark contrast between wealthier citizens and those who made greater sacrifices. Ironically, it was often the people's republic that faced the most exploitation.
A Refined and Elegant Man stood by the roadside, waving his hand to flag down passing vehicles; however, each car sped by without stopping. For some reason, Fang Lin Kong felt a sudden impulse and stopped his car, leaning out of the window with a smile. "Where are you headed? May I offer you a ride?"
The man appeared to be in his thirties but exuded a youthful vitality. Though he had an ordinary appearance, he carried an air of scholarly refinement that made one overlook his looks and feel inclined to approach him.
Seeing Fang Lin Kong stop, the man smiled and said, "My destination is also the Underground Arena. If I’m not mistaken, we are not only going in the same direction but also share similar purposes!"
Fang Lin Kong found this amusing and smiled back as he invited the man into the car. "From your accent, it seems you’re from the south! Unfortunately, I’m from Northeast China and can’t quite place your hometown!" Fang Lin Kong intentionally avoided asking about his nationality because no matter how skilled a linguist might be, they could never replicate that distinct southern Chinese accent.
The man chuckled softly and replied, "I haven’t returned home in many years, but I can’t seem to forget the accent I developed as a child. My surname is Yuan; Yuan Tiankong! May I ask your name?"
Fang Lin Kong responded, "I am Huan Huo. I was born in southern China but have lived in the north. I spend most of my time abroad and am not very familiar with domestic affairs anymore. Please forgive me if I seem ignorant about our homeland! I'm just hoping for some luck this time; I wonder if I have what it takes!"
Yuan Tiankong smiled and said, "We are both far from home, aren't we?"
The two chatted casually, making the journey feel less lonely. When they reached the entrance of the Underground Arena, Fang Lin Kong stopped the car, and they stepped onto one of Tokyo's busiest streets, entering a bustling Department Store.
Fang Lin Kong pressed the elevator button, and a security card appeared in his hand. As he inserted it into a small slot in the elevator, all the indicator lights suddenly lit up, and the elevator descended at two or three times the speed of a normal lift, plunging downwards.
When the elevator doors opened, Fang Lin Kong and Yuan Tiankong found themselves three kilometers underground. The lobby of the Underground Arena resembled the busiest trading floor in the world. Despite having over thirty registration windows open, there was still no sign of ease.
Fang Lin Kong exchanged smiles with Yuan Tiankong as they joined a queue to register.
While waiting in line, Fang Lin Kong curiously glanced around. Although most of the monsters had concealed their aura, he could still sense their true power. Among them, fewer than twenty individuals caught his attention.
One particularly tall and thin monster, covered in strange bumps with faint yellow glimmers in its eyes and wearing an odd coat, stood out to Fang Lin Kong. What puzzled him was that he had never seen this monster before yet felt an inexplicable familiarity.
After mentally noting this monster, Fang Lin Kong registered his name and received his schedule. He had already established a good rapport with Yuan Tiankong, so he waited for him to finish before they both left together. Just before departing, Fang Lin Kong took another look at the oddly dressed monster, only to find that its gaze had also pierced through the crowd to fixate on him.
Noticing that he had been spotted, Fang Lin Kong chuckled and waved from a distance as he walked away with Yuan Tiankong.
As they walked, Fang Lin Kong silently pondered, "Among the participating monsters I’ve seen today, the only one who poses a threat to me is that bumpy-faced fellow. Besides him, there's Yuan Tiankong! I can't sense any hidden power within him; this person's strength is unfathomable!"
