"Little one, how do you feel? I have been waiting for someone to come for a very long time!" A soft voice floated through the air. Although the speaker's tone sounded quite kind, Fang Lin Kong felt a chill run down his spine. An overwhelming force suddenly pulled him out of that magical, transforming world. Everything before him vanished in an instant.
When Fang Lin Kong regained his senses, he found himself in what seemed to be a cave. The surroundings were made of hard stone, and darkness enveloped everything as far as the eye could see.
"Ah! What I foretold about my future self has finally come to pass!"
Though he expressed great astonishment, Fang Lin Kong remained composed, carefully surveying his surroundings. He noticed a faint glow surrounding his body, emanating from an unknown source, gradually illuminating him and giving him an air of mystery.
"Little one, your arrival brings me great joy!"
Fang Lin Kong heard that voice again and was instantly alarmed. The sound was ethereal and seemed to resonate from within his own mind. Initially, he thought it was just an illusion, but this time he felt completely awake. Suddenly, everything became clear, and Fang Lin Kong realized where he was.
He stood in a vast cavern, with numerous holes dotting the rocky walls. For a moment, he couldn't tell which one led outside. The cave itself was enormous, comparable to half a football field in size. The ground was remarkably flat and clean, a rarity for natural caves.
However, when Fang Lin Kong caught sight of something in front of him, he nearly screamed in terror. He had seen E.T. or Men in Black before; modern imagination regarding bizarre forms had reached great heights. Moreover, he had encountered strange experiences that even the monsters of the Chifeng Legion had acknowledged as kin. But just because he had seen similar things didn't mean he could easily accept them.
After all, there was a significant difference between seeing something on a screen and having it appear right before his eyes. Furthermore, Fang Lin Kong remembered that he wasn't visiting a movie set's special effects area. The six leaders of the Chifeng Army had never transformed into monstrous forms.
The bizarre creature that terrified Fang Lin Kong stood not far from him, with nothing separating them. It wasn't entirely accurate to say it was standing; its feet hovered several centimeters above the ground. A fist-sized Green Crystal floated at its chest, seemingly alive as it twisted and changed shape. The sudden burst of light earlier had emanated from this fist-sized Green Crystal.
Under the glow of this green light, Fang Lin Kong could see the creature clearly. Though it spoke human language, its appearance resembled a human only slightly; if he hadn't been mentally prepared beforehand, the sheer terror would have overwhelmed him completely.
The strange creature was tall and imposing, with a light green skin that was completely bare. Its limbs were proportionate, and its facial features were somewhat acceptable. However, it had no hair on its head, instead sporting a pair of sharp, massive horns that gave it a ferocious appearance capable of frightening any beast in the world. An aura of extreme brutality surrounded it. Upon first sight, Fang Lin Kong nearly screamed; as he looked closer, he almost fainted. This creature resembled a devil more than anything human.
Although he had known he would encounter something like this, seeing it in person was an entirely different matter.
At that moment, the voice echoed for the third time: "I am the one you saw being bisected earlier! I was once like you, possessing a human form. However, due to my cultivation of the demonic path, my physique has changed significantly. You need not be alarmed."
Since the entity seemed to want to communicate, it should pose no danger.
Calming himself, Fang Lin Kong replied, "I am also a practitioner; I can handle this level of shock."
The voice in his mind continued, "I am Kunlun Qi Refining Master, known as Liexiezi. Although your mind is filled with many strange thoughts, they are irrelevant to me. I simply wish to ask for your help, and I will repay you handsomely afterward."
Startled again by this voice, Fang Lin Kong's previously clear thoughts began to cloud. Instinctively, he asked loudly, "Can you read my mind?"
The strange creature shifted its posture. It brought its legs together and assumed a lotus position similar to what Uncle Shan often used while floating in the air. The Green Crystal behind it emitted countless slender green rays of light that seemed almost tangible, forming sharp green wings that fluttered behind it. Then the penetrating voice returned: "Indeed, so I do not need you to explain anything. Just listen to what I say. I am the one you saw earlier being bisected. It was I who transmitted that scene into your mind. This way, most explanations can be avoided."
Fang Lin Kong exchanged several words with this unknown creature. Although his guard was not completely down, he felt slightly braver.
"Although you practice the demonic path, it is understandable. May I ask why you have summoned me?"
The creature identifying itself as Liexiezi nodded and replied, "My physical body has been destroyed, and my Yuan Shen is trapped; I cannot continue my cultivation of Xian Dao. I have been in hiding here for over three hundred years."
Liexiezi sighed with a bitter smile and added, "It is precisely because I cannot leave that I need your assistance." Despite its fierce appearance, Liexiezi spoke with restraint and maintained proper etiquette in its demeanor. The explanation was clear and logical, gradually alleviating Fang Lin Kong's fear.
Once upon a time, Liexiezi was bisected by his senior brother, Voidbreaker. Although he had also plotted against Voidbreaker, forcing him to Ascend and preventing him from completely eliminating his Yuan Shen, Voidbreaker managed to trap him here before ascending. There was a sealing formation in place, restricting every movement he made, leaving him unable to step even a hundred paces beyond this spot. Thus, he sought the help of Fang Lin Kong.

Liexiezi said to Fang Lin Kong, "After I was bisected, all my treasures remained with my corpse, alongside the remnants of Voidbreaker. If you can obtain those treasures of mine, I will impart my power to you so you can wield them. Together, we can break the formation and allow me to see Heaven's Day once more."
After explaining everything, seeing that Fang Lin Kong had no doubts, he detailed how to retrieve his original treasures and the path to take. While Fang Lin Kong was lost in thought and distracted, he mindlessly responded affirmatively, as if installing computer software, saying "yes" repeatedly. Unaware of what he was agreeing to, he suddenly felt Liexiezi wave his hands vigorously, and an incredible force surged into his body. He felt as if he were an inflatable balloon suddenly being inflated. Under this strange and inexplicable power's influence, Fang Lin Kong's bones cracked loudly as if undergoing physical therapy; his muscles felt painfully stretched. His internal organs churned violently, and he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. He even felt as if his eyeballs and tongue were bulging out of their rightful places due to the overwhelming pressure.
"This is just the first step..."
Following the threads of memory in his mind, Fang Lin Kong hurriedly focused on digesting this forcibly bestowed demonic power.
Just as he was struggling with discomfort, Liexiezi's voice rang in his ears at the right moment: "I can only barely transmit one-tenth of my demonic power to you.
