"This is impossible!"
As he watched the Black Flame Curved Blade slicing through the air, Sdeck lost his composure and forgot to counterattack. Although Dongfang was also shaken to the core, his cultivation was far superior to Sdeck's, allowing him to regain his senses in time. In less than a fifth of a second, Dongfang produced a black short staff from seemingly nowhere, gripping it firmly with both hands. With a swift motion, he extended it into several segments. This short staff not only had the ability to stretch but also revealed a chilling blade at its tip after being pulled by Dongfang, transforming it into a spear.
In that fleeting moment, Dongfang thrust out dozens of strikes in quick succession, channeling the same black flame energy as Sdeck into the spear's body, forcefully shattering the Black Flame Curved Blade unleashed by Fang Lin Kong.
The blade energy dissipated, but Fang Lin Kong remained unfazed. He strolled out from the wreckage of the building, which had been reduced to ruins. Under his command, the scattered black flames began to gather once more.
Fang Lin Kong said calmly, "I have always been a good student, so I believe that an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth is not the right way to solve everything with violence. However, reality has taught me that I should chop the pervert who is hunting me into seventy or eighty pieces and brutally warn others not to provoke me."
Having been caught up in inexplicable events and hunted countless times, Fang Lin Kong's luck had plummeted to unprecedented lows. Finally losing control of his emotions, he began to rampage.
Having just elevated his mental state, Fang Lin Kong's confidence soared to its peak. After making his declaration, he suddenly accelerated. With fingers spread wide, he gathered countless bolts of lightning in his hand and delivered a powerful punch aimed at Sdeck's head.
Sdeck hurriedly unleashed the Black Flame Curved Blade in an attempt to block Fang Lin Kong's attack. Meanwhile, Dongfang refused to stand idly by; with a flick of his spear, he executed the most authentic techniques of Chinese Yuejia spear fighting, swiftly targeting several joints on Fang Lin Kong's body.
Together, they engaged Fang Lin Kong in battle. Both Sdeck and Dongfang were increasingly astonished. The widespread use of Psycho Weapons internationally had drastically changed combat methods. No matter how skilled one was with spells, there was often no time to prepare during battle; even ordinary people could easily shoot someone in the head. Those fragile mage-like figures who relied heavily on magic had either been eliminated or shifted their focus to research rather than combat.
Now, combat personnel—even those like Sdeck who were spellcasters—needed significant prowess in physical techniques; at the very least, they had to be agile. Everything was evolving toward practicality. Spellcasters studying physical techniques could evade enemy ambushes more easily.
Dongfang was purely a brute-force fighter but also specialized in supportive magic. The ability to imbue his spear with fiery damage was a testament to his rigorous training.
However, all of this was aimed at ensuring a primary focus on advancement and the simplest way to enhance combat power. Someone like Fang Lin Kong, a freak who excelled in both magic and martial arts, truly gave the two of them a headache. In just a moment of battle, Fang Lin Kong had already unleashed all the spells he had learned, occasionally casting curses such as Darkness, Fear, and Confusion.
Dongfang Yue was increasingly astonished; the Chinese boy before him seemed to grow stronger with each passing moment in battle, and his proficiency in various spells became increasingly threatening as the fight progressed.
His Wuying Spear danced through the air, the black flames coalescing into unpredictable spear light that absorbed most of Fang Lin Kong's attacks. Sdeck's flaming curved blade flew through the air, their coordination seamless.
However, as Fang Lin Kong rapidly advanced, Dongfang's outlook on the situation grew increasingly grim.
"If this continues, I might have to lift my seal. Am I really expected to reveal my true strength against just any opponent?"
As Dongfang thought this, a surge of pride suddenly erupted within him. The Wuying Spear took on an extraordinarily strange form.
Although Fang Lin Kong's mental state had improved, he had never systematically trained in martial arts. His combat relied solely on basic reflexes combined with brute force and speed. Suddenly faced with Dongfang's unexpectedly exquisite spear techniques, the sharp spear light appeared from unpredictable angles. Fang Lin Kong found himself lacking in power; after several hard clashes, he felt a wave of frustration rising within him.
Recognizing his shortcomings, Fang Lin Kong quickly created distance. With Vampire's Kiss, he instantly reloaded his ammunition. After enhancing his strength, the speed at which he condensed spiritual energy bullets was nearly instantaneous. Moreover, the purity of his Holy Power was no longer comparable to before.
Bang! Bang! A series of precise shots forced Dongfang to retreat from his pursuit. In terms of speed alone, Fang Lin Kong held his ground. Although the Wuying Spear couldn't catch up to Fang Lin Kong's figure, it skillfully sliced through all of his spiritual energy bullets. At this point, it had become a matter of stalling for time rather than skill; they were competing in terms of energy consumption.
Sdeck's flaming curved blade could no longer exert any restraining effect. Each time his flaming blade approached, Fang Lin Kong would casually swing out his own Black Flame Curved Blade to counter it.
Seeing this situation unfold, Dongfang decisively withdrew the Wuying Spear and increased the distance even further. He spoke in a deep voice: "Let's call it a day for now; Sdeck, we’re leaving!"
Fang Lin Kong was more than happy to end the battle; he realized he lacked effective means to counter his opponent and that his combat experience was insufficient. The sudden surge in power still needed time to be fully utilized. Lowering the spear tip, he smiled slyly and said softly, "This provocation came from your side; if you say we won't fight anymore, am I not losing out?"
"Next time, I hope to have the opportunity for a serious contest."
Dongfang smiled lightly and said, "I still have subordinates who have yet to arrive in China, so I cannot deal with the Chifeng Legion just yet. However, before the official declaration of war, I will not take action against the Chifeng Army, giving you a buffer to prepare. Consider it a condition for our exchange tonight."
Before Fang Lin Kong could respond, Dongfang casually slipped his hands into his pockets and turned away with an air of nonchalance. Although Sdeck was filled with resentment, he could only follow suit. Left behind, Fang Lin Kong pondered for a moment before radiant light began to emanate from his body. With a swift motion, he carved a deep mark into the ground. "One day, I will make these people think twice before they dare to act against me."
Feeling powerless against his enemies, Fang Lin Kong reluctantly left the battlefield.
"It seems I must visit that place the fellow mentioned in the future."

In modern biological concepts, humans are undoubtedly the supreme beings of all creatures, the most intelligent species on Earth. Indeed, under the sun, no other life form can compete with humans. Aside from the obviously inferior and incomprehensible bacteria, all other creatures on Earth must heed the not-so-pleasant expressions of humanity, living in constant caution. Even so, they remain at risk of extinction at any moment.
However, in the darker corners of society, unbeknownst to most humans, a world beyond their control continues to operate—monsters have their own lives.
