"Old dog, it's you who's dead!"
Two Golden Seals, no larger than a matchbox, condensed in Wei Chen's hands!
With a fierce push, Wei Chen sent the two Golden Seals crashing into the figure in the black robe. One of them shattered the black robe's right hand into fragments, while the other blasted through the gaping wound in its chest, obliterating its internal organs.
Without a grip to control him, Wei Chen twisted his body. Although he managed to avoid having the sharp spike penetrate his entire chest, one side was brutally pierced, leaving a gaping and horrifying wound.

Wei Chen wasted no time; one hand pressed against his wound while the other gripped a Seven-Grade Soul Stone to refine and absorb it for replenishing his Soul Power, flapping his wings in a desperate rush.
Not long after he left, Elder Di arrived.
"The black robe is actually dead? Could it be that Wei Chen killed him? From the looks of it, he must have fallen under a Sixth-Rank Advanced Soul Technique. How could that kid even use a Sixth-Rank Advanced Soul Technique?"
Elder Di unleashed a palm strike that obliterated the black robe's corpse and sniffed out Wei Chen's lingering aura before pursuing him with urgency.
An hour later, Elder Di found Wei Chen hiding beneath a thicket of thorny bushes, healing his wounds.
He observed from a distance without revealing himself.
Wei Chen's strength was limited after all; he did not notice Elder Di.
"This fellow is truly outrageously fierce. The black robe had reached the Pinnacle of Spiritual Wisdom. Although his Soul Power Realm was only average, he shouldn't have been something at Spirit Realm Level Three could kill."
Elder Di looked at Wei Chen, speechless in shock. Wei Chen's injuries were severe, both internal and external, leaving him only able to fly a short distance before he could no longer hold on and had to land hastily to heal. Elder Di easily caught up with him. If it had been during his peak condition, Elder Di would not have been able to catch him so easily.

Given the severe injuries, it automatically helped me repair my body. How could I possibly recover this quickly? Solely relying on Soul Power is not enough."
Wei Chen noticed that a portion of his Life Energy had diminished, roughly about ten percent.
"This means I can still endure ten more injuries like this... As my Soul Power Realm increases, the amount of Life Energy needed for recovery after being injured will grow more and more. Next time I get hurt, unless it's a critical moment, I can't afford to expend that Life Energy; who knows when I'll need it all?"
He stood up and moved his body around; all his wounds had healed, but some internal injuries still required time to recover.
Elder Di was astonished to see Wei Chen's wounds had vanished. Conservatively estimating that it would take half a month for him to fully heal from such injuries, how could he have recovered in what felt like just a blink of an eye?
"Is this kid even human?"
Elder Di was left speechless and bewildered as he continued to hide in the shadows and watch.
Not far away was a lake; Wei Chen leaped into it, sinking to the lake bottom. Feeling the astonishing coolness, his mood lightened considerably. After swimming around at the lake bottom for a while, he surfaced and swam to the shallows, only his head above water. Holding a Soul Stone in his hand, he began to meditate.

Initially, he was unsure about which Martial Soul to condense, but after witnessing the power of Red Man's Lake Soul, he decided to condense the Ocean Soul so that he wouldn't be easily countered in battle.
During this half-month period, his Soul Power Realm had risen to the Spirit Realm Ninth Layer, and he could now consider condensing his Spiritual Wisdom Realm Martial Soul.
"The recent oceans are in The Extreme North. The Ice Sea is more powerful than ordinary oceans; that is my best choice. I will first return to Ling City without alarming anyone, then teleport to the nearest large city to The Extreme North and fly over from there."
With his mind made up, Wei Chen flew out of the lake, using a burst of Soul Power to dry his clothes as he headed towards Ling City.
He hadn't flown far when Elder Di caught up with him.
"Senior, why are you following me? Do you have any instructions?"
Wei Chen paused in mid-air, squinting at the elder behind him.
"Nothing much. I was sent to assist you, but since you single-handedly killed the black-robed figure, my presence seems unnecessary. Now that your injuries have healed completely, my mission is complete. Let's return to Dingsheng Trading Company together," Elder Di said with a cheerful smile.
"Dingsheng Trading Company... Are you also a guest elder of Dingsheng Trading Company?" Wei Chen scrutinized Elder Di closely; he couldn't discern Elder Di's strength at all. At that moment, Elder Di had retracted his Soul Power aura, giving off an air of simplicity and authenticity.

"I was wondering what level your Soul Power Realm has reached?"
"Oh, that's what you want to know. Heh, it's just Earth Soul Realm Level Four, nothing impressive," Elder Di said, a hint of pride in his voice. He stared at Wei Chen, hoping to see a look of shock on his face to satisfy his vanity. He had been startled by Wei Chen's strong breakthrough and miraculous recovery and wanted to regain some face.
An old man with no great ambitions had such small calculations; could Wei Chen fulfill them?
Unfortunately.
Elder Di felt disappointed as he noticed Wei Chen's expression remained completely calm. There was no sign of shock on his face, not even a hint of surprise...

Before they could react, another gust of wind flew in.
Blizzard City, located at the northernmost part of the Ling Sheng Dynasty, is the only major city near The Extreme North and the only human City-State within a thousand miles. Surrounding Blizzard City is a desolate snowy wasteland with few inhabitants. Only within Blizzard City are there many people—warriors from the Ling Sheng Dynasty venturing into The Extreme North for adventure.
In The Extreme North, danger lurks everywhere, but so does wealth. Snow Fox Fur, if intact, can sell for hundreds of thousands of taels of silver in Ling City; it's highly sought after by adventurers. There's also something called Frost Heart; just acquiring one can fetch over a hundred million taels of silver.
