In the transition between day and night, the moments before dawn are always the darkest, a time known as the breaking of dawn. 0

Garen was not taken back to his residence at the Eastern Bastion; instead, he was brought to the most magnificent building in the Inner Fortress, entering a luxurious and spacious bedroom. 0

Bai sat in a chair in the corner and glanced out at the sky. "You have five hours to rest." 0

"And then what?" 0

Bai frowned and replied, "Are you sure you want to know now?" 0

Garen said nothing more and lay down on the bed to rest. The special operations from the night before, combined with the weakness he felt from Su Ye, had left him extremely fatigued. He needed to make good use of these five hours. Of course, Garen would not completely let his guard down around Bai; he released a bit of Blood Power. 0

This could be considered a function of the blood clan's power. Unlike his own sleep, blood was always flowing and often sensed danger sooner. 0

Yes, Garen had accepted the power of blood. Although this was not his original intention, he was not an inexperienced ordinary person who would agonize over the nature of power. Power itself is innocent; it is the user that matters. But one thing was certain: if he encountered Vayne, the huntress who wielded dark powers, she would certainly look at Garen with a strange gaze. 0

In front of the bed, Bai watched Garen with a calm expression that inexplicably stirred some irritation within her. 0

She could not understand why Lord Suye valued this warrior—was it merely because of the Embrace? No, according to Lord Suye's character, he would never be bound by anything. If Lord Suye had wished it, he could have easily killed this warrior himself without caring about any backlash from the Embrace. 0

Suddenly, Bai thought of something and her gaze toward Garen turned cold with murderous intent. 0

But soon, that murderous intent was forcibly suppressed. 0

He cannot die. 0

Garen woke up, exactly five hours later, as Bai entered the room carrying some items. 0

"In three days, there will be a banquet, and you must accompany Lord Suye," Bai said while unwrapping a package and pulling out a black tailcoat, placing it at the foot of the bed. 0

"This banquet is somewhat complicated, but I will explain everything as soon as possible. Also, your current strength is insufficient to attend the banquet, so over the next three days, a significant amount of resources will be directed toward you. You must advance to Second Rank." 0

"You have little time, but I will..." Bai's voice gradually trailed off as she frowned and asked, "What are you still doing?" 0

Garen had sat up in a chair, not looking at the Black Suit at the foot of the bed and showing no intention of moving. He simply stared calmly at Bai. 0

Garen felt that there was some misunderstanding on her part and rubbed his forehead as he said, "Why do I have to accompany her?" 0

"You are currently Unique and not familiar to other Clans, and you have the capability. Moreover, this was proposed by Lord Suye." 0

"I don't recall agreeing to that." 0

Indeed, Garen had only accepted the power of blood; although this power came from Su Ye, it did not mean it belonged to her. 0

A killing intent radiated from Bai, yet Garen remained calm, unaffected by her imposing presence. 0

"At the banquet, Lord Suye may be in danger," Bai took a deep breath and forced herself to explain patiently. "This shouldn't be good news for you, right?" 0

Garen tapped his fingers on the table and shook his head. "I don't think she would be that fragile." 0

Su Ye's injuries were severe, with a significant part stemming from the Blade of Fearlessness and Bravery. The energy contained within it could not be resolved overnight. However, if one believed that this woman would be in danger because of that, they might be underestimating her. Even though their encounters had been few, Garen was certain that this woman would never allow herself to be manipulated. 0

In fact, this was a question that Bai had always found puzzling. Even she struggled to understand why Su Ye would choose to have Garen accompany her. However, since Su Ye had given the order, Bai naturally could not defy it. Just as she was racking her brain on how to persuade Garen, he spoke up first. 0

"I can agree," Garen said, looking at Bai with calm eyes, "but I have one condition." 0

Bai narrowed her eyes. "A deal?" 0

"Yes." 0

"What qualifications do you have to negotiate conditions?" Bai scoffed. "It seems you are not familiar with Lord Su Ye's character. Even if backlash affects her, she won't care, and she has never been threatened." 0

Considering Su Ye's personality, Garen's proposed deal was akin to pulling teeth from a tiger, but that did not mean Garen's character could be easily dismissed. 0

"Sorry, I'm not threatened either," Garen replied calmly. 0

A surge of anger brewed within Bai, but she knew that would not solve the problem; threats of violence were ineffective against this warrior. 0

"Let's hear the details of your deal." 0

"I need to build a tower," Garen smiled. 0

"That tower?" Bai was taken aback, memories of the Watchtower flashing in her mind. Undeniably, that magical tower had left a deep impression on her. "Impossible! Such a thing would endanger Solomon itself; don't be ridiculous." 0

The thought of those Super Warriors who could safely descend while avoiding the Temporal Rhythm was indeed a disaster for Solomon. 0

After a moment of silence, Garen said, "I can guarantee it won't affect you, provided you don't act foolishly." 0

Since it was a mutual deal, Garen certainly needed to show at least some integrity. Of course, if this group of vampires chose to provoke the warriors who descended, then Garen could not be blamed. 0

"This is too dangerous; the adults will never agree to it," Decisively said. 0

"Is that so?" 0

Garen felt a connection from deep within the blood, coming from the other side of the castle, and a smile crept onto his lips. 0

"She has already agreed." 0

... 0

In an underground trial chamber at the core of Solomon's Castle, Su Ye stripped off her clothes and immersed her elegant and voluptuous body into the blood pool. The scalding liquid failed to harm her in the slightest. 0

Through certain properties of Embrace, Su Ye was able to connect with Garen and see certain things without either party intentionally repelling each other. 0

In the images transmitted by Garen, Su Ye saw Bai's face filled with shock. 0

"It seems your understanding of me is still not as good as this warrior's," Su Ye said lazily, a hint of mockery in her eyes. 0

The Watchtower concealed too many unknown factors, a point Su Ye understood better than Bai. And the immense uncertainty also meant endless possibilities. 0

"Don't let me down..." Su Ye sensed Garen's emotions. "If you can help me." 0

"As for those broken Solomon bloodlines, it doesn't matter if they all perish." 0

... 0

The Black Suit fit Garen like it was tailor-made for him. It accentuated his robust physique without feeling tight; instead, it was quite comfortable. 0

In the mirror, Garen's short black hair was neatly arranged, and his strong facial contours were strikingly defined, complemented by a touch of pale beauty that added an inexplicable handsomeness without diminishing his resolute demeanor. 0

This left Garen feeling somewhat uncomfortable, as he had never considered himself to be associated with the term "handsome" in the past. He adjusted the two white cuffs of his clothing, revealing a satisfied expression. 0

Looking at himself in the mirror and recalling how he had proactively proposed a deal earlier, Bai instinctively took a step back from Garen. However, her retreat was not directed at him personally; rather, she saw traces of Su Ye in Garen. 0

As they walked out of the room toward their destination, Garen casually asked, "Are all Embraces different?" 0

Earlier, while in the room, Garen had flipped through some books on vampires and found detailed accounts of Embrace. Since this ability was quite fundamental, the descriptions were thorough. However, the more detailed they were, the more Garen felt that his own Embrace seemed peculiar. 0

"All Embraces are the same," Bai replied after studying Garen for a moment. "It's just that you and Lord Su Ye are different." 0

"Why?" Garen asked, taken aback. 0

"Because Lord Su Ye's Bloodline is currently the closest to the Ancient Ancestor among the Thirteen Clans, which naturally gives it some uniqueness." After a brief pause, Bai continued, "You should have already noticed that in a normal Embrace relationship, life and death are separate for both parties; the death of one does not affect the other." 0

"But Lord Su Ye is different..." 0

"She can only undergo one Embrace." 0
