Garen tightened his grip on the Stormblade, his heart skipping a beat. 0

During his time at the Eastern Bastion, the name he had heard most often was Su Ye. This legendary woman had single-handedly saved the life-and-death situation of the Solomon Clan, transforming it into a colossal force in just ten years with her thunderous momentum. Encountering her now meant that Garen was instantly at a disadvantage. 0

But what truly shocked Garen was that… she was still alive! 0

Despite her grievous injuries, she had managed to endure the Blade of Fearlessness and Bravery and was standing right in front of him! 0

Moreover, it seemed that this woman had been waiting for him here for quite some time. 0

"You rude fellow," Su Ye said lazily as she observed Garen's sword-wielding stance. "One." 0

"Two…" 0

Garen ignored her inexplicable counting and quietly gripped the Holy Eye in his palm. However, due to having used it moments ago, the Holy Eye was unable to unleash its power… 0

"Three." The corners of Su Ye's mouth curled slightly. 0

At that moment, Garen's heart began to race violently, blood surged backward for an instant, like an overloaded current coursing through his body. Simultaneously, an inexplicable restlessness arose within him… 0

It felt as if a voice kept telling Garen to kneel before this woman! Kneel! Kneel!! 0

Clang! The Stormblade was driven into the ground by Garen's reverse grip, propping himself up against the hilt to avoid bending his knee. Yet even so, his knee still made a series of clattering sounds. 0

Just then, several figures came rushing from a distance. 0

"We found him!" Wafiel exclaimed with a mix of urgency and joy on his face. He could almost conclude that the "master" was definitely not someone from the Inner Fortress; it was highly likely that they were a dangerous individual who had infiltrated their ranks. The fact that he knew about the surveillance array indicated that he had probably obtained some hidden secrets. 0

If such secrets were to leak out, it wouldn't just be the five of them in trouble; even their families would be implicated! Fortunately, Wafiel had managed to locate him just in time! 0

This was the most thrilling moment of Wafiel's life. Just as his two fangs protruded and he was about to fight, he heard a cold snort. 0

Could there be accomplices? 0

Wafiel cautiously raised his head, only to be completely stunned. 0

"Su... Lord Suye!" Wafiel stammered. 0

The remaining four also saw Su Ye and immediately knelt in terror. 0

"Don't be afraid, Wafiel. I will give you one sentence to explain," Su Ye said with a smile. 0

However, that smile only made Wafiel and the others feel even more horrified. 0

"Lord Suye, just now someone... um, it was him... he..." Wafiel pointed at Garen but then found himself at a loss for words. 0

Yes, the "enemy" was right in front of them, but no matter how they looked at it, he had just been talking to Lord Suye. Moreover, facing Su Ye, this person didn't kneel and was even holding a weapon! 0

Could this guy really be a big shot from the Inner Fortress? Wafiel was genuinely confused now. 0

Su Ye seemed to understand something and waved his hand dismissively. "Get lost." 0

Wafiel hesitated. Although he could tell that this man had a complicated relationship with Lord Suye, the surveillance array was crucial, and he had to report to Lord Suye... Just then, Wafiel heard a heavy breathing sound coming from that esteemed figure! 0

Oh no! The lord was about to get angry! 0

... 0

It wasn't until Wafiel and the other four hurriedly ran far away that they finally felt a sense of relief. 0

Su Ye stepped down from the city wall and approached Garen. 0

"Not bad, I'm quite satisfied with you." 0

As the lazy voice echoed, the blood within Garen instantly calmed, and his restlessness vanished without a trace. 0

Garen's breathing gradually steadied, but he did not speak immediately. He could tell that the other party still had more to say. 0

"Do something for me, and I will give you what you desire," Su Ye said lightly. 0

Garen did not expect such a request. After all, back in the Southern Suburbs, this woman had nearly been killed by him, and she had indirectly slaughtered Blackstone Town. Even if Garen chose not to seek revenge for the dead, he still harbored a strong aversion towards her. 0

Unless she intended to use Garen's departure from the Blood Clan as a bargaining chip? 0

"I won't agree," Garen replied expressionlessly. Although using this woman to leave the Blood Clan was the safest and quickest method, he would not easily sell himself out. 0

However, Su Ye's response was still unexpected. 0

"Bai should have told you that you are now part of the Blood Clan," Su Ye said, looking at Garen with amusement. "Don't you want to know why?" 0

Garen's gaze grew increasingly serious. 0

"When I counted to three just now, did you feel an urge to kneel before me?" 0

An unusual blood... the impulse to kneel, or rather... an inexplicable "awe" towards this woman... 0

Garen's heart sank suddenly as an incredible suspicion surfaced in his mind. 0

"Have you finally figured it out?" Su Ye gazed into Garen's eyes, seeing a flicker of agitation within them. 0

Yes, there is a suppression of Bloodline among the various races on the continent, much like how ants would crumble under the gaze of a giant dragon. However, the problem is that Garen has personally slain a black dragon; this Bloodline suppression has almost no effect on him. Moreover, he can now be considered half-blooded, so why would he feel "awe" towards Su Ye? 0

Unless Garen has become a blood kin and has a close connection with Su Ye. 0

In that case, the answer becomes clear. 0

Integrating Blood Power into Other Races and bringing about Bloodline suppression leaves only one possibility—Embrace. 0

According to ancient records, blood kin would use a special method to bestow their essence upon Other Races. This ritual is known as "Embrace," and in return, the Embrace recipient gains Blood Power, but at the cost of severing ties with their original race. Their living habits and combat energy would gravitate towards the Blood Domain. 0

However, for blood kin, the value of their essence is undoubtedly immense, so very few would casually offer their Embrace just to subdue Other Races. If it weren't for Su Ye's direct hint, Garen would never have considered this possibility. 0

But why is that? 0

Garen looked at Su Ye. "I'm afraid I haven't been convinced by you." 0

Su Ye couldn't help but be surprised. "Don't you want to know why? My Embrace isn't something just anyone can receive!" 0

"I will deal with it myself," Garen said after a moment of silence. Since the event has already occurred, dwelling on the truth is unnecessary; it’s better to focus on how to resolve it. 0

"It seems you're not giving up yet," Su Ye mocked with a smile. "You won't succeed." 0

"Why not?" 0

"Because what you have received belongs to my Embrace," Su Ye's smirk widened. "Especially after I learned about your ridiculous plan to escape from the blood kin." 0

"Don't tell me you didn't notice the flaws in this plan." 0

Garen frowned. "I don't believe there are any issues." 0

Su Ye calmly said, "The plan itself is certainly fine, but the problem lies with you. Using Jack and his group along with the Healing Chamber to create Chaos will lead to tremendous casualties among those of the Other Races on their sickbeds, as well as the Blood Clan. Yet you seem to care little for their lives." 0

Garen's expression grew heavy. Just as Su Ye had pointed out, his actions in the plan to leave Solomon were merely about creating Chaos, and the cost of that Chaos was sacrifice. This included Old John and Asterina. Although it was orchestrated by the Bandit Spirit, could Garen have done any better in their place? 0

In Garen's style, he would have sought every means to regain his power, then used his Greatsword to break free from his restraints and stride out of Solomon's Castle! 0

In contrast, this manner of acting seemed more akin to... 0

Su Ye looked at Garen with a sympathetic gaze. "Stop deceiving yourself; you are becoming more and more like me." 0

"Oh, by the way, there's one more thing I forgot to tell you. Due to the peculiar nature of my Embrace, our lives are temporarily interconnected." 0

"If you die, I will suffer severe repercussions. But if something happens to me, it won't just be simple repercussions for you..." 0

The implication was that their lives were shared. However, due to the hierarchy of the Embrace, Garen was at a disadvantage. This meant that if he wanted to survive, he had to ensure Su Ye's safety first. 0

"Now, if you insist on leaving..." Su Ye took a step back, indicating that Garen could depart at any moment. 0

"Thank you," Garen said expressionlessly, then proceeded as if he hadn't heard Su Ye's previous words, walking straight toward the end of the city wall. 0

In this context, his thank you sounded particularly jarring. Rather than an expression of gratitude, it felt more like an apology: "I'm not intimidated." 0

But just as Garen had taken two steps forward, suddenly! From the dark corner of the wall, a scarlet figure sprang forth! 0
