"Are you not going in?" 0

Sharg looked somewhat downcast. After a moment of silence, he shook his head. "She doesn't want to see me." 0

From Talina's remarks, it was clear that she hadn't seen her two younger brothers in a long time. She also didn't know that Sharg often took naps on the rooftop, which meant he had never pushed open that door. 0

Garen looked into Sharg's eyes and said, "Is it that she doesn't want to see you, or is it that you don't want her to see the person you've become?" 0

Sharg paused at Garen's words, then forced a bitter smile. "What difference does it make? The sister who wants to see me is the one from the past, not this blood-soaked guy who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals." 0

"You should know that she's very ill." 0

Sharg took a deep breath, clearly aware of Talina being poisoned. However, hearing it spoken aloud still filled him with anger. "So what? What are you trying to say?" 0

As a warrior who had fought on the battlefield for many years, Garen had experienced countless farewells. 0

He looked into Sharg's eyes and said, "When you realize that time is a thief, it’s already too late." 0

"You really are getting better at lecturing; I’m not sure how to handle it!" Sharg suddenly laughed, awkwardly shifting the topic. 0

"I am a mentor after all." 0

"Let’s correct that: your students are just a bunch of kids under ten." 0

"What does that matter?" 0

"So please don’t use your methods for dealing with children on me, a wolf." 0

In the end, Sharg still did not enter the door. He turned and left the alley. However, watching his retreating figure, Garen knew that this guy was seriously contemplating what he had said. 0

Moments later, Edward came out through the door. He informed Garen that Talina's physical and emotional states were stable, but ironically, this was the worst situation because no one could predict when those damned toxins would erupt. 0

The most fatal conclusion drawn by the Holy Fawn treatment team was that the toxins had already permeated every inch of Talina's blood, integrating into her body. Unless a divine being intervened, the only way to eradicate these toxins would be to drain all her blood. Of course, that was nothing but a joke; whether through toxin corrosion or bloodletting, the outcome would be the same—death. 0

Talina remained as gentle as ever. Garen lingered for a moment before leaving. 0

As he stepped out of the alley, a chilling voice suddenly echoed in his mind. 0

"Do you want to save her? Perhaps I can help you!" 0

However, Garen showed no surprise and calmly replied, "I don't think you can do it, and besides, you're already dead." 0

"You..." The voice paused, sounding somewhat taken aback. 0

This voice came from the Undead Staff. It wasn't that Garen had seen through everything; rather, when he tossed the staff into his System pouch, he felt a gaze watching him secretly. 0

Of course, Garen did not let his guard down. After all, being able to converse with him while ignoring the staff meant that this Revenant Master possessed considerable power, even qualifying as a local authority within the staff's space. 0

The voice remained silent for a long time. "But she isn't dead yet, is she? The world is equal; as long as you pay a price that matches your desire, you can obtain anything you want, including life." 0

In the brief pause of conversation, Garen had returned to his Rental Apartment. He slowly brewed a cup of water using Venom Blade and then sat down on a wooden chair. 0

"Alright, tell me your price," Garen said. Now back home, he naturally didn't need to communicate mentally. 0

Although his interaction with Talina had not been deep, if possible, Garen still hoped to lend her a hand. 0

"The value equivalent to life is, of course, also life," the voice sounded somewhat excited. "I can see that your vitality is very strong; perhaps contributing just ten percent could save that girl." 0

"Of course, I will take a certain reward from it." 0

"Reward?" Garen took a sip of Venom Blade Liquid and couldn't help but feel surprised. To be honest, vitality was already one of the least valuable things about him. Not to mention that his Resilience Talent allowed for rapid recovery; even his own vitality could rival that of high-bloodline magical beasts. 0

Unfortunately, it seemed that the voice had no interest in Garen's vitality. 0

It smiled and said, "The soul." 0

"But as far as I know, the soul cannot be divided. If you had that ability, you wouldn't need to speak to me this way, would you?" Garen said expressionlessly, continuing to drink the Venom Blade Liquid. 0

Feeling the explosion of Qi Xuan within him, Garen quickly recovered using his Resilience Talent and then brewed a second cup. 0

"Divide? Oh, perhaps you still don't understand the relationship between the body and the soul," the voice explained. "In fact, the body is merely a shackle for the soul. It brings you pain and suffering, even lowly emotions like sadness." 0

"Only by abandoning your filthy body and drifting in a soulish form can you truly experience freedom. It is a sensation transcending life and death; I believe you would enjoy it." 0

"If you were alive, you'd surely be a cunning Necromancer," Garen finished the Venom Blade Liquid. "Since you need my soul, you wouldn't let me drift freely, would you?" 0

"No, no. The world of souls is not what you think. Even if I extract a part of your soul, I have countless ways to do so without damaging its essence!" 0

"Alright then, thank you for chatting with me," Garen said, as his Fighting Spirit surged within him. 0

"Chatting?" The voice paused, seemingly incredulous. "Haven't you considered this carefully?" 0

"Of course I have. Hmm... I already have my answer." 0

The voice grew impatient: "What is it?" 0

"Get lost." 0

Garen slowly stood up and smiled lightly. "Compared to your manipulative tactics, you're even worse than that crab from Noxus. At least it understands the importance of switching positions before speaking!" 0

At that moment Garen stood up, his Qi Xuan began to circulate rapidly in his lower abdomen. Layers of Fighting Spirit surged like tides, crashing against that invisible barrier! 0

After about ten attempts, the barrier shattered into pieces, and the space within Qi Xuan instantly doubled! 0

A sea of golden Fighting Spirit overflowed like an ocean of gold. 0

Garen glanced at the System Panel and nodded in satisfaction. 0
