Just then, several carriages drove in from the outskirts of the crowd, and Tutulu, along with a few guards, stepped down one after another. The gathered residents quickly made way. 0

"Tutulu? Ha ha, I saw you at the Baron’s restaurant last year!" Torexis laughed loudly. As a favored individual close to the Baron, Torexis had certainly encountered many prominent figures, including Tutulu. 0

He deliberately puffed out his chest, as if afraid someone might miss the gleaming golden badge of identity pinned to it. 0

"Lord Torexis, long time no see!" Tutulu forced a strained smile and then turned to the Armored Man. "Sir Manfro, have you come as well?" 0

Manfro shot a cold glance but remained silent. 0

Faced with these two distinguished individuals, Tutulu could only swallow his grievances and maintain his smile. "I wonder what brings you to our little town, Lord Torexis? Is there a new plan from the Baron?" 0

"The Baron heard that things have been rather unsettled here lately and specifically sent me to take a look," Torexis feigned disappointment as he shook his head. "I heard that over a dozen people died on this street not long ago? Tutulu, have you resolved this matter?" 0

"We are still conducting further investigations, but please rest assured that we will soon—" 0

"Investigating? So that means it hasn’t been resolved?" Torexis mocked with a grin. "If you can't even handle such a small matter, there's no reason for you to continue as mayor!" 0

"We will resolve it soon; please trust in our capabilities..." Tutulu replied with a bitter smile. How could he not see that Torexis was subtly trying to undermine him while boosting his own reputation in front of the crowd? 0

Manfro frowned and scolded, "Tutulu, I think you've truly lost your wits! Do you intend to keep chatting here?" 0

"Black Duncan, quickly arrange accommodations for the three lords; make sure they are well taken care of!" Tutulu hurriedly instructed. 0

Not far away, Black Duncan was still recovering from his earlier state, but seeing Tutulu's urgency, he had no choice but to suppress his anger and act immediately. 0

"Wait a moment." Torexis suddenly spoke, his tone leisurely. "The matter here isn't over yet. Who just ambushed my guards?" 0

As he spoke, Torexis's gaze turned towards Garen. 0

The crowd around them immediately parted, isolating Garen and his companions. 0

"Um... Lord Torexis, they are my friends. Could you let them go this once for my sake?" Tutulu quickly pleaded with Torexis. 0

"Heh, your sake? You..." Torexis sneered twice, but before he could finish his sentence, the cloaked mage whispered something in his ear. 0

"Alright... I certainly won't hold it against them. I'm sure Manfro won't mind either," Torexis quickly changed his tone, a momentary look of panic crossing his face. 0

Tutulu sighed in relief and hurriedly invited Torexis and his group onto the carriage. 0

Garen keenly noticed the change in Torexis's expression and felt a bit puzzled. Just then, Mogao turned his head, casting a greedy glance from beneath his cloak. 0

That gaze was filled with greed; clearly, Mogao still coveted Garen's soul. Yet alongside that greed was a hint of deep apprehension. 0

This apprehension, however, was not directed at Garen. 0

Garen turned to see Tifet's four figures standing behind Yasthia. 0

As several carriages rolled away, the crowd at the town entrance quickly dispersed. It was evident that after such a commotion caused by Torexis, the dynamics of the small town would change once again in the coming days. Many had already guessed the truth: Torexis was here to replace Tutulu. 0

Of course, while Garen had some ties with Tutulu, he wasn't about to go through fire and water for him. No matter how the situation evolved, as long as it didn't interfere with the construction of the Watchtower, it was none of his concern. 0

After parting ways with Edward, Garen arrived at the Southern Suburbs with Yasthia. 0

In the past few months, Yasthia had planned countless tower construction projects. Specifically regarding the magic circle, she had written seven manufacturing plans focused on its stability. In essence, Yasthia was the most knowledgeable person about the Watchtower. 0

After spending an afternoon, Yasthia explained several planning documents in detail. Garen absorbed about 70% of the information, while the remaining 30% pertained to knowledge-based issues that were explained in the documents. 0

“If you can understand these, completing the construction should be no big problem,” Yasthia said as she took a sip of water. 0

“These materials are very detailed. After reading them, I think I’ll have a pretty good grasp,” Garen replied as he organized the thick stack of papers, preparing to take them back to his Rental Apartment for further study. 0

This reminded him of his time at Demacia Academy, where he scored full marks in practical and strategic subjects but always hovered around the passing line in theoretical courses. He had once stayed up all night memorizing various textbooks, often lingering in the classroom late into the night with a group of classmates who also struggled with theory. 0

At that time, a prince sat to his left, and to his right was Zhao, who had just defected from Noxus. 0

“I’ve always been curious about what you plan to do with this tower,” Yasthia said, resting her chin on her hand and blinking. “I’ve conducted twenty-seven magical simulations, but they all pointed to the same conclusion: unknown.” 0

“There are many interpretations of the unknown… It could be beyond my level of magical simulation, or it could relate to the vastness of space and time. Of course, it might also be true; no one knows the outcome.” 0

“Now that I’m about to leave, don’t you want to reveal a little bit to me?” 0

To be honest, Garen had never intentionally concealed anything about the Watchtower. It was just that the matters involved were too complex, especially concerning his identity and issues related to the Valoran Continent; it was hard to explain clearly. 0

Garen struggled to find the right words for a moment before saying, “To save the world.” 0

Yasthia paused for a moment before responding, “Alright then, I suppose I trust this term ‘unknown’ more.” 0

Stepping out of the storage cabin, Garen saw Tifet leaning against a large tree, while the other three stood at the base of the Watchtower, gazing up in unison, much like children encountering a great mountain for the first time. 0

After a moment, Inu found Garen and politely requested a copy of the Watchtower's planning document. Yasthia busily explained that Inu's intelligence was 13.15 times that of an average person. Back in the academy, he had uniquely solved various complex problems, leaving many seasoned professors embarrassed. 0

However, predictably, Inu's innate confidence took a significant hit. Despite reviewing the planning document multiple times, he remained utterly clueless about the Watchtower. 0

During their casual conversation, Yasthia informed Garen that they all hailed from the same academy in the Holy Empire—Heaven's Garden. 0

Heaven's Garden was the oldest and most prestigious institution in the empire, with numerous affiliated colleges. Tifet came from the Eagle Academy, known for its knightly heritage; Deer Lion Dog was from the Holy Academy of Holy Mages; and Yasthia belonged to the Royal Academy. 0

Time passed leisurely, and due to Yasthia's influence, Deer Lion Dog showed considerable politeness toward Garen, though Tifet remained an exception. 0

Before leaving, Garen took a moment to observe the training students. 0

After months of training, this batch of Novices no longer needed to run to activate their Fighting Spirit; they were now capable of engaging in Muscle Training. In this regard, Rody had already gained substantial experience and could help alleviate some of Garen's pressure. 0

Notably, one Novice named Asher had taken a sick leave that day. 0

Garen was familiar with each Novice and immediately recalled Asher—the one who always lagged behind during running drills yet insisted he hadn’t given his all. 0

Then, at noon the following day, Garen received some unfortunate news— 0

Asher had died. 0
