The Magic Circle had surfaced, and the Lich was no longer keeping secrets from the Warden and Cui Ming. They needed to set up a Magic Circle together, a task that involved clearing away a large number of reefs. This work was tedious; although they had Force at their disposal, the reefs were small on the outside but large on the inside, accompanied by massive coral formations. The Magic Circle spanned seven hundred square meters, making the cleanup quite exhausting. 0

Once the area was cleared, they would begin inscribing runes, a task that only the Lich could undertake. According to the Lich, this would take six days. These would be the final six days, the most likely opportunity for Yun'er to turn the tables. Although Cui Ming considered the possibility that Little Shuang might seduce Yun'er, he chose not to warn her, not wanting to put Little Shuang in danger. The Warden and the Lich did not delve deeply into such thoughts either. In these last few days, if Yun'er wanted to act mischievously, they would let her. 0

During this time, the exchanges of glances between the Warden and Cui Ming increased. On the surface, they maintained a respectful demeanor, but deep down they were both excited and expectant. As things stood, it seemed unlikely that the Warden would keep an eye on Cui Ming anymore; Cui Ming had gained the Lich's trust. Thus, it was very likely that Cui Ming would be nearby to protect the Magic Circle, preventing any large creatures from intruding at a critical moment. It was also possible that Cui Ming might be imprisoned first but not killed since Baor would still need him for future training. Even if Yun'er were to kill Baor, Cui Ming would not be executed immediately; chaos would ensue first, providing him with a safety net. 0

In their normal plan, once the Magic Circle activated, Cui Ming would break free from captivity and kill Baor within the circle before teleporting away. The Warden would then seize the opportunity to take the Death Hat and Soul Stealing Scroll from the main array. Would Cui Ming be willing to take such a risk? Yes, he was always one for high stakes; however, if the Warden took both items, would Cui Ming still agree? The answer was no. 0

Thus, while clearing away the reefs, Cui Ming communicated underwater with the Warden through gestures. The Warden took the lead in attacking Cui Ming while he was close enough to kill Baor. This tactic was meant to draw attention and give Cui Ming an opportunity. When Cui Ming struck at Baor, the Lich would realize that it was actually the Warden trying to prevent Cui Ming from killing Baor. 0

The Warden harbored a secret; he believed that Cui Ming did not know that the Lich's domain encompassed thirty kilometers of ocean. Indeed, Cui Ming had been unaware until his professor introduced him to both the Lich and Shadow Island in great detail. The Warden thought he had this aspect under control and thus did not oppose Cui Ming's customization of their plan. Little did he know that Cui Ming was using this very point to disguise himself as a sacrificial pawn. 0

Another advantage for Cui Ming was his belief that this was a high-stakes game of life and death. Meanwhile, the Warden felt everything was within his grasp. 0

... 0

The Six Elements had finally been taught in full, and Baor successfully transitioned from a novice practitioner to an actual practitioner. However, being still a child with an immature mind, although he possessed Force now, he had yet to master its control. To both Cui Ming and the Warden, his strength seemed barely stronger than that of a child—merely a difference of one or two sheets of paper. Most importantly, Baor still lacked True Origin Power. 0

The Lich was pressed for time; he had clearly sensed Yun'er's rapid growth in strength over these past few days—her power had already surpassed forty percent. The reason remained unclear to him, and he did not wish to inquire further. On the day Baor completed his training in Six Elements, both Cui Ming and the Warden were summoned to the main house. Looking around, Cui Ming noticed Yun'er was absent. 0

With a cold expression, the Lich stated: "The first thing I need is to capture Yun'er." 0

"Ah?" Both Cui Ming and the Warden were taken aback. 0

The Lich did not explain why capturing Yun'er was necessary; instead, he elaborated on whether it could be done: "Yun'er's strength lies in her powerful Force; her attacks are straightforward and lack direct harm. I've already sent Flower Aunt to invite Yun'er over. If she resists when she arrives, you must protect Baor." 0

"Damn, this is tough. Although it's not impressive, Yun'er is at least the inheritor of True Origin Power and the power of a Demigod. Cui Ming glanced at Warden, thinking it would be manageable; with Warden's domain and his own immobilization token, they could hold off for a moment. But does this count as a father-daughter falling out? 0

Cui Ming was unaware that although the Lich could no longer monitor Yun'er, every word from Little Shuang was heard loud and clear. That little brat was actually encouraging Yun'er to kill Baor and become the master of Shadow Island. What disappointed the Lich even more was that Yun'er had revealed her relationship with Baor to an ordinary woman. Since that was the case, fate could not be left in Yun'er's hands; after all, she was part of a lineage that had been passed down for thousands of years. 0

The Lich said, "I will now introduce the Magic Circle." 0

The Magic Circle was a five-star magic array related to life, rebirth, and souls. The Lich continued, "Simply put, the Magic Circle is about soul unification. Why can't Yun'er surpass my strength? Because Baor's soul is far weaker than Yun'er's. Once the magic array is activated, we must complete it regardless of the consequences. Therefore, I need both of you to guard the array. The main focus is on a pair of black dragons located fifty kilometers away on Glacier Island. They have been circling around Shadow Island for several days now. I had hoped they would enter Shadow Island, but they haven't; they are very patient." 0

Cui Ming replied, "Uncle He, I'm afraid we won't be enough to handle the black dragons." 0

The Lich said, "The main array consists of the Death Hat and the Soul Stealing Scroll, two treasures passed down through generations of the Lich. Once the black dragons approach the vicinity of the magic array, you must immediately activate it using your combined strength against those two treasures. Based on your strength, you can hold out for three minutes; that should be enough for me to kill twenty black dragons." 0

Seeing both nod in agreement, the Lich continued, "The Magic Circle is not a defensive magic array; outsiders can intrude. The magic array itself has no defensive power, so you don't need to worry about being harmed by it. The array must be maintained for four hours and is divided into several phases. 0

The first phase is entry into the array. If Yun'er is controlled, there will be no problem. The second phase activates when Baor kills Yun'er. The third phase is the soul phase, which is also the most crucial stage. During this time, I will allow Yun'er's soul energy to be absorbed by Baor, as there is a contract within her soul energy that will activate Baor's True Origin Power. In this phase, Yun'er's soul energy will automatically resist and will not be subject to the control of either the Crystal Shackles or her own will; I must use my strength to complete this phase. 0

The fourth phase involves closing the array after the soul fusion is complete and retrieving both the Soul Stealing Scroll and the Death Hat, thus ending the Magic Circle. 0

The Lich did not elaborate on details such as how Yun'er's soul energy would be completed through the Soul Stealing Scroll. The first, second, and fourth phases only require twenty minutes; however, the third phase will take nearly four hours. 0

"The day after tomorrow at midnight—specifically tomorrow night at 24:00—the tide will recede, revealing the magic array above water. We have a maximum of six hours to complete everything within four hours." 0

Both Warden and Cui Ming responded solemnly, "Understood." 0

At this point, Flower Aunt, along with Yun'er, returned with Little Shuang. They gathered in front of the main house's open area where Yun'er, still very polite, stepped forward and asked, "Father, did you call for me?" 0

“Yun'er, it's about to begin,” Lich said. 0

Yun'er froze for a moment, her face turning pale. She turned to look at Little Shuang, who seemed to understand what was about to happen. Little Shuang anxiously gestured and glanced at Baor, who was rowing on the lake surface with two caretakers. Seeing this, Lich slowly stepped forward, holding the Crystal Shackles. 0

Yun'er instinctively took a step back. Lich halted and said, “Yun'er, the legacy of Lich spans thousands of years. Countless people have sacrificed for this legacy; it cannot be destroyed by our hands.” 0

Yun'er swallowed hard, unsure of what to say. As Lich advanced again, Yun'er did not retreat further. Instead of throwing the Crystal Shackles, Lich draped them over Yun'er like a garment. 0

Lich took a step back, intending to offer some comforting words, but Yun'er had not completely given up. Her Force was maintaining the Crystal Shackles in a state where they did not break while also not binding her completely. This action revealed her inner turmoil. 0

Little Shuang finally exclaimed, “You idiot! Don't leave me! Don't give up on yourself! What does it matter if it's been thousands of years for Lich? You are still you!” 0

Lich remained still, quietly waiting. After a long pause, Yun'er spoke up, “Father, promise me one thing.” 0

“Speak.” 0

“Do not harm Little Shuang. Give her plenty of money so she can return to her own home.” 0

Cui Ming glanced at Little Shuang. After Yun'er made this request, Little Shuang fell silent, her eyes reflecting a mix of anticipation, hesitation, and confusion. 0

Lich nodded. “I promise you.” 0

Finally, the Crystal Shackles locked around Yun'er. With a hint of tenderness in his voice, Lich said, “Yun'er, you've never had alcohol before. This time, let's share a few drinks together—just the two of us. How does that sound?” 0

“Okay.” Yun'er nodded and looked towards Little Shuang. 0

"Lich understood. 'Warden, let Flower Aunt take Little Shuang home. Do it now.' 0

'I want to say a few words to her,' Yun'er said. 0

'Alright.' 0

Yun'er walked over and embraced Little Shuang for a long while. It was evident that Yun'er was crying, while Little Shuang pretended to sniffle but had no tears. After some time, they parted, and Flower Aunt approached Little Shuang. 0

'What about my sister?' Little Shuang asked. 0

'Your sister can't come...' Cui Ming replied. 0

Lich looked at Cui Ming in surprise. 0

Cui Ming awkwardly continued, 'Big Twin is having my child.' 0

Little Shuang immediately felt a surge of anger. 'I knew she was lying to me.' 0

Lich asked, 'Yun'er, let's go this way.' He didn't want to deal with such trivial matters and thought that Cui Ming having a child with Big Twin was a good thing. It meant Cui Ming would have to stay on Shadow Island and not think too much about other things. 0

Cui Ming and Warden remained outside the main house. They were now Baor's bodyguards, and Baor was happily playing, completely unaware of what was happening in the main house. Little Shuang and Flower Aunt left without any sentimental attachments or packing their things, heading directly to the southeastern part of Shadow Island. Little Shuang boarded the boat and looked back at Shadow Island as Flower Aunt steered the vessel away from it. 0

The boat moved quickly, and Shadow Island gradually receded into the distance as the sun began to set. Little Shuang watched as Shadow Island disappeared, captivated by the sunset, sitting on the deck lost in thought. The boat began to decelerate slowly, and Little Shuang sensed something amiss. She turned her head to see Flower Aunt pointing a gun at her head. 0

'I admire your courage for taking such a big risk. But you lack persistence. If you had held on, perhaps the young lady would have resisted, but by giving up on her, you are essentially giving up on yourself,' Flower Aunt said before pulling the trigger without waiting for Little Shuang's response." (To be continued.) 0
