Yun'er remained calm as Lich glanced at her and said, "Just speak your mind; it's fine." 0

"Then I must offend Yun'er. I believe Yun'er is not good at nurturing. Being with Baor has led to too much indulgence. Nurturing should involve guidance and encouragement, but Yun'er only indulges. For example, the other day when Baor barged into the twins' bathing room, perhaps Yun'er thought it was no big deal, and indeed it wasn't. However, Baor was very curious about Little Shuang's bath that day, which can affect mental and physical health and development—it's too early for such exposure. This has led to Baor frequently approaching Little Shuang with some rather awkward questions over the past few days." 0

Lich nodded. "It is indeed a bit early, but we can't blame Yun'er; she is still young and has never left Shadow Island." 0

Suddenly, Yun'er said, "Father, I want to see the Three Continents." 0

"That's nonsense," Lich replied sternly. 0

"Yes," Yun'er lowered her head. 0

Listening to their conversation, Cui Ming realized that Yun'er had no ulterior motives; she genuinely wanted to dedicate herself to Lich's cause. She simply wished to see the Three Continents in her lifetime. This girl appeared indifferent on the surface but still harbored a youthful curiosity and longing for the world within. 0

Lich continued, "Today is Baor's sixth birthday. I began practicing Six Elements when I was six. Baor is still young, and teaching will take a lot of time. Especially the first stage of condensation; it's difficult at this age. I need to set up a magic circle for him, which will take a few days to arrange before I can officially start teaching Six Elements." 0

Yun'er interjected, "Father, Baor is still quite young; why not wait until he turns seven before teaching him Six Elements?" 0

Lich glanced at Yun'er. "I have already made my decision." 0

Yun'er lowered her head again. "Yes." Each time she did so, it revealed her dissatisfaction with Lich's proposal. 0

Girl, you are courting your own demise. Cui Ming thought that Lich was not particularly anxious about this matter initially, but Yun'er's sudden desire to see the Three Continents raised concerns. In Lich's mind, he likely considered that Yun'er had been spending too much time with Cui Ming, the female doctor, and the twins lately, absorbing information about the Three Continents and thus developing curiosity about it. Currently, their strengths were unevenly matched; as time passed, Lich found it increasingly difficult to sense Yun'er's presence. 0

Cui Ming did not know that Lich had been hesitant. Lich began practicing the Six Elements at the age of six, but he was not alone; he trained alongside his three older brothers. Their father had left only one heir, and the one who could comprehend the Six Elements the fastest and most thoroughly would be chosen as the successor. Lich was completely different from Baor; with three competitors, his mother constantly encouraged him, making Lich mature and sensible at a young age. In the end, he defeated his three brothers. A few years later, two of his brothers attempted to kill this potential heir and were executed by Lich's father, along with their innocent and loyal eldest brother. 0

Cui Ming was unaware that Lich had already sensed some changes in Yun'er. Over the past decade, Yun'er had never expressed her thoughts or opinions, but in the last month or so, she secretly asked Flower Aunt to buy mirrors and cosmetics. Whenever the concubine clan discussed matters regarding the Three Continents, she would always find an excuse to stand nearby for a while. What surprised Lich the most was that during the polar night, Yun'er sought out a female doctor and asked many questions about the Three Continents. 0

Yun'er had begun to lose control slowly, not just in terms of strength but also in her mindset. Since a decisive action was inevitable, why prolong it any longer? 0

... 0

The Ye Family remained silent; days passed without any sign of activity. Warden informed Cui Ming that the Ye Family had collected the bodies. The man named Yellen looked furious but still left in a dejected manner. Cui Ming found it strange; Yellen was typically a person of great stature. Why would he issue an ultimatum to Lich? A true man knows when to bend and when to stand firm. Cui Ming believed that since these two female reporters were so important that they brought the Ye Family near Shadow Island, Yellen would endure humiliation to rescue them. Why then resort to mere words? 0

In these days of idleness, Cui Ming had nothing to do while Lich took over Baor's daily life. He spent his time lounging on the makeshift boat he had crafted, basking under the moonlight and sunlight. However, Cui Ming's heart was restless because his Force and Green Silk Thread were increasing. Others might not notice it, but Cui Ming certainly did. The originally pure light blue now had a hint of green; there were seven strands now. 0

Was it True Origin Power? Nonsense; his Force level hadn't increased at all. Cui Ming did not want to become a little green man. Coincidentally or not, the recent increase coincided with Baor's first birthday when he thought about sowing discord between Yun'er and Lich and subtly provoked them; thus, six green lines turned into seven. 0

Logically speaking, Force emanates from every pore like breath; the green lines resembled ribbons that did not actually come from pores but rather moved onto his Force. One green line floated past his eyes accidentally; annoyingly enough, it lingered right in front of him—though it didn't obstruct his vision at all, it was still bothersome. Yet on Shadow Island, he couldn't find anyone to ask about it; even if he were on the Three Continents, Cui Ming wouldn't dare ask someone: "Am I turning green?" Damn it, could it be some kind of telepathy? Was Beiyue getting along with someone else? 0

He made himself uncomfortable and spent an entire night feeling uneasy. 0

To dispel this green Force, Cui Ming became meticulous about his diet and sleep schedule; he even swam for an hour every day. His body felt somewhat stronger, yet the green lines only continued to increase. 0

And then there was that damned dice. Cui Ming had obtained the dice he needed from Flower Aunt—dice with all six sides showing sixes—hoping to use Switching Heaven and Earth to turn three sixes into whatever dice he envisioned in his mind. But it was utterly futile; nothing worked out as planned. During polar nights when there were no starry skies on the sea, Cui Ming focused on the dice and contemplated countless methods but couldn't overcome this hurdle himself. 0

Only the nebula could provide Cui Ming with a sense of primal peace, allowing him to gaze blankly at the starry sky for an entire night. 0

"Cui Ming," a female voice called from the shore. 0

Cui Ming sat up and looked towards the shore; it was Yun'er. Over the past few days, Yun'er had been quite bored. She often lingered at the female doctor's place, speaking little and not revealing what she wanted to do, leaving the doctor feeling quite awkward. The doctor had asked Cui Ming twice, but he had no idea what Yun'er was thinking. 0

Cui Ming concentrated his force at the soles of his feet, and the bamboo raft glided over the waves onto the beach. He respectfully said, "Miss Yun'er, do you need something?" 0

"Nothing much, I just want to know what the Three Continents are like." 0

What could he say? She had asked many people and heard a lot, but it was like blind men touching an elephant. Cui Ming gestured for her to follow him to his cave, picked up some fish, and asked, "What aspect do you want to know about?" 0

"The most ordinary one," Yun'er replied. "I saw two female reporters dressed very nicely." 0

Cui Ming pondered for a moment, then took out his wallet from his pocket and handed Yun'er a photo of the Five-Man Team winning the championship. Yun'er looked at it all the way until they reached the cave. Cui Ming then took out several albums from his bag featuring Star Photo collections, including one with Liu Meier in it. Although it was a Star Photo collection, there were also many ordinary people in the background highlighting the stars. Meanwhile, Cui Ming was by the water catching fish and began to grill them. 0

"Who is this man?" Yun'er asked. 0

"I forgot his name; he's this woman's boyfriend." 0

"Chatting?" 0

"No, dating." 0

"Dating?" 0

"It's when a man and a woman are together, whispering sweet nothings." How to explain? Cui Ming pointed at the photo and said, "Her name is Beiyue; she's my girlfriend." 0

"What is this?" Yun'er pointed at the background of the photo. 0

"Little Lobster, Braised Little Lobster," Cui Ming said. "This is Mapo Tofu, this is Braised Pig's Trotters, and this is Smashed Cucumbers..." 0

"Do you often eat these together?" 0

"If we want to eat, we just do," Cui Ming replied, then added, "Miss Yun'er, Uncle He doesn't really like you asking about the Three Continents." 0

"I know." Yun'er set the photo aside, hugging her knees as she gazed into the endless darkness. She wanted to see what lay beyond but knew she couldn't. With the Death God's True Origin Power coursing through her, leaving the island could mean death. Even if she extinguished the Force, she would still be cursed. She was acutely aware of her significant identity; she was now a successor. If it weren't for her brother killing her, the Lich clan would have faced extinction. After a long silence, Yun'er said, "I'm leaving." And just like that, she departed. 0

Cui Ming watched her go while eating grilled fish. Now he understood that Yun'er's training and use of the Force were not entirely his doing. From her departure and the changes in the Force, it was clear she was venting her frustrations. This meant she might hide somewhere and wreak havoc with the Force. 0

Time was running out; the girl was drawing closer to death. Yet she discovered that this world was actually fascinating—she had never experienced any of its wonders. Life seemed destined for obliteration, which left her feeling both pained and conflicted. 0

Though he felt sympathy, Cui Ming knew that Yun'er was not inherently good. She lacked respect for others' lives and viewed existence with indifference. If such a woman were to go to the Three Continents and encounter a prince charming who adored her, it could turn into a love ballad. However, most princes charming were often fickle because there were too many choices available; in the end, it would only lead to a requiem. This wasn't a fairy tale; even if it were, she wouldn't be the protagonist. And even if she were, the prince would have many consorts. 0

Yun'er might have her strengths; Baor had his as well; so did the Lich and Warden. But once you decide to be enemies with these people, you shouldn't dwell on their merits—focus more on their flaws; it makes taking action much easier. 0

Cui Ming began to devise various plans in his mind as time pressed on. In just a few days, Baor would undergo Six Elements training. Under such circumstances, relying on luck was futile; he had to rely on his own strength instead. According to his current plan, playing this way was perilous; however, he didn't fully understand what a Magic Circle entailed or what limitations the Lich would face. Even so, he needed to come up with a plan that ensured survival. 0

Then there was Warden. To be honest, Cui Ming wanted to eliminate the Lich to avoid future troubles and confront him once—fate would decide life or death. As for Warden, Cui Ming had long harbored thoughts of getting rid of him. The simplest reason was due to the professor; although the Lich was the mastermind behind decisions, Warden was merely a pawn in front of him—the hatred fell more heavily on Warden. 0

Flatterers are always more despised. (To be continued.) 0
