After the heavyweight match began, the Ye Family gathered at Midway, setting up their formation. In response, the Fire Cult consolidated their forces and prepared to engage at Midway. There was no dialogue between the two sides; each team demolished one of their own Arrow Towers to expand the combat area, completely ignoring that this was a Competition Match. They fought fiercely, as if they had agreed upon it beforehand.
Once the battle commenced, Ye Wen charged alone towards the backline, targeting the Serpent Woman. The Centaur couldn't gain enough speed to intercept him, but the Minotaur managed to knock Ye Wen away. Both sides advanced in perfect sync, aiming to tear through each other's frontlines and penetrate into the backlines. Those in the back not only attacked but also had to dodge the main assaults from their opponents.
The Serpent Woman seized the opportunity to petrify Yellen and Ye Wen. The Fire Cult took advantage of this moment, but Ye Xin from the Ye Family executed a two-one-two tactic, charging forward and sending the Minotaur flying with a spear thrust that hurled it far away, then aimed his spear directly at the Serpent Woman. A lurking Lion Dog advanced from behind, using dual daggers to stab Zhao Xin. As Zhao Xin was struck, Ye Shi, who had been preparing in the backline, ensnared the Lion Dog with a binding force, rendering it immobile.
Yellen recovered from his petrified state and drove his great sword into the Lion Dog's chest, unleashing a force that exploded within it. The Lion Dog fell first. However, Ye Xin stepped into a trap set by the Leopard Woman and was struck by her long-range darts, suffering fatal damage as a spear pierced through his chest. In his final moments, he managed to launch the incoming Centaur into the air.
Ye Shi bound the Centaur, preventing its movement while the Leopard Woman provided support. Ye Wen surged in, using Force to blast up dirt and rocks, enclosing himself and the Serpent Woman in a confined space. The Leopard Woman could not break through this space and turned her attention to attacking Ye Shi, who stood firm to block her. Suddenly, Ye Ying appeared behind the Leopard Woman and restrained her.
The Minotaur returned just then, and Yellen intercepted it; two robust fighters engaged in a fierce clash. Finally, within that confined space, Ye Wen managed to slay the Serpent Woman. However, due to continuously binding and enhancing the Centaur's strength, Ye Shi quickly exhausted his Force reserves. The Centaur broke free from its bindings and began running at an accelerating speed. It crashed through both the Minotaur and Yellen like a gust of wind before catching up with an unprotected Ye Shi and killing him.
The situation shifted to a confrontation between the Minotaur and Centaur against Yellen and Ye Wen, while Leopard Woman and Ye Ying engaged in a one-on-one battle in the wild area.
At this point, everyone understood that victory hinged not on Minotaur or Yellen but rather on Leopard Woman and Ye Ying. The Centaur abandoned the Minotaur and charged into the wild area. Neither Yellen nor Ye Wen could stop its speed or its ability to collide with them; attempts to pursue were thwarted as they were knocked aside by the Minotaur.
The Centaur teamed up with Leopard Woman to eliminate Ye Ying before turning back to create a three-on-two situation.
After four minutes of intense fighting, Yellen and Ye Wen combined their efforts to slay the Minotaur; however, Ye Wen also fell in battle shortly after. In a final act of bravery knowing he was outmatched, Yellen charged forward and severely wounded Leopard Woman before ultimately sacrificing himself.
Wind commented: "It was an incredibly intense fight—very masculine in nature. The abilities and performance of Ye Shi from the Ye Family exceeded everyone's expectations; he managed to control Lion Dog effectively and bind Centaur successfully, achieving a surprise victory that gave them a temporary advantage. However, because he exhausted his Force too quickly while controlling Centaur without meeting tactical requirements, it ultimately allowed Centaur to move freely at high speed and reverse their advantage."
Cui Ming praised: "This was a very targeted strategy; Ye Xin was used specifically to draw out Lion Dog. Ye Ying was able to suppress Leopard Woman to some extent because she had a Force Beast partner. The Ye Family had a chance of winning by fully utilizing Minotaur's slower speed to first draw it away from the battlefield and create localized advantages."
Feng agreed. "But to be honest, no one in the Ye Family's front line can withstand the Centaur; no one can trap it or even delay it.
