Cui Ming missed the moment and quickly walked back, asking, "Senior Brother, when you sparred with Lion Dog yesterday, was he just dodging and not attacking you?" 0

Li Qing nodded. "Yes, his movements were very agile. When I kicked towards him, he jumped over my head and landed behind me." 0

Cui Ming inquired, "Can we understand it this way? Lion Dog's invisibility is different from that of ordinary practitioners. When Lion Dog is invisible, his defensive capabilities become extremely low, almost fragile, as if he is in a state of vulnerability. It's similar to how Yellen attacked Bone Dragon; when the dagger pierced Bone Dragon's Force, it suddenly erupted. In other words, after he kills someone, he must reveal himself." 0

Li Qing countered, "Does that make sense? The person is already dead. Besides, his movements are incredibly swift." 0

Cui Ming replied, "It does make sense. This means we can deal with his invisibility without needing powerful techniques. For example, the Fire Escape Technique used by Mi Xiaonan creates a burst of flames. Although that fire is primarily for lighting and lacks lethality, it should be able to break Lion Dog's invisibility." 0

"Area attack," Li Qing nodded. "We don't need to pursue large-scale lethality; it's quite simple. We can train our bodies to quickly disperse our Force to create airwaves that can knock down an adult. However, Junior Brother, are you sure this technique will work against Lion Dog?" This method is the simplest form of area attack but has almost no lethality; it's akin to someone giving a gentle push. For oneself, because the Force disperses quickly, it takes time to replenish that Force, and during that brief moment, its effectiveness diminishes significantly. 0

"I don't know if it will work or how to use it. Senior Brother, teach me. Let's learn first; if we encounter Lion Dog again, a dead horse can still be treated as a live one." Lion Dog was incredibly fast and almost impossible to escape from. Cui Ming was fortunate to have teleportation; being ten kilometers away was already a very good means of escape. However, sometimes he had to consider the presence of companions who couldn't teleport. Cui Ming disliked facing unbeatable opponents. Like the Lich, although powerful, it was ultimately bound by a contract on Shadow Island. Regardless of the outcome against Lion Dog—whether Cui Ming could lose or die—he could not do so without any means of resistance or struggle. 0

... 0

Even if Cui Ming randomly deduced a weakness of Lion Dog—that in his invisible state he was vulnerable—the shadow left by Lion Dog still lingered in everyone's minds. Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, a luxurious limousine was already waiting for them. This was Cui Ming's second time seeing a long limousine for long-distance travel; the first time had been with Jayce when they went to West Lake City to check on his sister farming. 0

In Twilight City, royal farming wasn't just a reality show; it involved real farming practices including accumulating organic fertilizer and transplanting rice seedlings as well as harvesting rice. According to Twilight Daily's report, the royal family was discussing modernization and would no longer rely solely on manual labor. However, the royal family immediately refuted this claim, stating that they were different from everyone else; they had no employment or survival pressures. To ensure they maintained good character and virtue, there were strict regulations in place—including mandatory labor for minors. 0

Before marriage, royals received only essential living expenses each month along with free food and two sets of clothing per year. Of course, if they had earning capabilities—that was their own business. After marriage, they would receive a monthly subsidy ranging from five thousand to ten thousand. Upon reaching sixty years old, they could reside in the palace. However, all educational expenses were covered by the royal family. The royal family explained that they were fortunate enough not to worry about education, healthcare, or retirement—more fortunate than 80% of Twilight City's population. 0

Jayce was an exception; first of all, he had his own career as a well-known host of a popular romantic variety show with considerable popularity and income. Secondly, he was also a practitioner whose lifestyle differed completely from other royals. 0

Ye Ying did not get into the car; she preferred walking while Dina stayed behind to continue communicating with the Force Alliance. Inside the limousine, three passengers sat side by side with a small table in front of them and various fine wines stored in nearby cabinets. A small refrigerator held many snacks for pairing with drinks. Li Qing—a foodie—was quite unceremonious as he began eating; after three years apart, Li Qing not only had developed a taste for gourmet food but had also learned about wine tasting. 0

Those who are visually impaired often find that their other senses are heightened. Li Qing's hearing, taste, and sense of smell are exceptional. Due to the pressure brought by the Lion Dog, everyone was speaking less, so Li Qing took the opportunity to share his recent life experiences over a drink. 0

In recent years, Li Qing's life has been quite rich; he has visited seventy percent of the City-States around the world. He first spent a year in ascetic training, a method practiced in temples, walking across the land. Much of Li Qing's strength comes from his martial arts skills. The Buddhist Sect does not engage in production, and the rulers do not allow the sect to promote Buddhism through supernatural claims to deceive or intimidate followers. As a result, there are very few temples and believers on the continent of Eternity. Each temple has its own principles, and since they primarily follow Theravada Buddhism, which focuses on self-liberation rather than saving others, there is little intention for expansion. However, many temples have preserved historical martial arts techniques known as Monk skills. Asceticism requires either sleeping outdoors or staying at temples; one cannot stay in hotels or inns. Thus, during his journey of asceticism, Li Qing discovered another realm of martial arts. 0

After completing his ascetic training, Li Qing passed the strength assessment of the Alliance Hunter and entered an internship period. Everything was going smoothly until he trusted a practitioner with Void Power and let him go, resulting in two years of effort going to waste. Fortunately, Wandering, as the head of the hunters, opened a backdoor for him, giving Li Qing another chance. 0

Li Qing explained, "That person is named Sadin, one of the four elders of Silent City and also a friend of the prophet. I intercepted him, and he told me that the prophet was doing something very dangerous and that he had to stop him. Afterward, he would come to me to clarify things. If I was willing to hand him over to the Force Alliance, he would not resist. I believed him because he spoke sincerely." 0

Cui Ming frowned. "Senior brother, this seems a bit off. All elders from Silent City—I know two of them: one is Toad and the other is the prophet; neither is a good person." 0

Mi Xiaonan interjected, "Cui Ming, that's your ignorance." 0

"Hmph." Cui Ming glared angrily; did this little thing want to rebel? 0

Mi Xiaonan remained calm and dipped her finger in water to draw a cross on the table. "This is our Balance Sect's symbol: the left side represents chaos, the right side represents order; above represents justice and below represents darkness. Silent City lies not on the line between justice and darkness but rather between order and chaos; it can be said that Silent City represents chaos. This means there are just people in Silent City as well as dark ones. However, due to the chaos in Silent City, there are no strict rights or wrongs; everyone has their own standards of right and wrong. Cui Ming, if you equate chaos with darkness, then you are mistaken." 0

"Interesting; now you're daring to lecture me," Cui Ming said while looking at Mi Xiaonan. 0

Mi Xiaonan smiled playfully. "This is my area of expertise." 0

Cui Ming asked, "What about Pirate City?" 0

"Pirate City embodies darkness rather than chaos. Most people there are bad, but Pirate City has a strong sense of order; they are typical representatives of dark order," Mi Xiaonan replied. "Pirate City is completely different from Silent City." 0

This perspective seemed reasonable; countries in the Three Continents prioritize order over everything else—there are dark individuals as well as just ones, but justice prevails over darkness. Order refers to rules; if there is a fair rule in place, then order can be maintained. If rules only punish those at the bottom while nobles go unpunished, it will lean towards chaos. Such City-States generally do not last long. Most City-States prioritize order first and justice second. Dark order and chaotic justice are rare but do exist. 0

Li Qing sighed, "We've strayed off topic and ended up in the Dawn Desert." 0

Cui Ming chuckled and asked, "Elder Sadin, did he mention anything else?" 0

"He hurriedly said a few things. The gist is that the prophet is researching the true nature of Void Power. It's quite complex. He mentioned that the Void is like a Conduit, allowing summoners to call forth creatures from other realms to the Eternal Planet through the Void. If the prophet masters this power, he would be able to freely enter and exit the Void world, even traveling back and forth across various planets in the universe. He would become a Voidwalker." 0

Cui Ming questioned, "Being powerful doesn't seem to fit the criteria of a villain." The prophet had not committed any clear wrongdoing. 0

Li Qing nodded in agreement with Cui Ming's thoughts and said, "Sadin then confused me further. He said there is a Void Energy Entity in the Dawn Desert that contacted them through the Void and conveyed the cultivation methods of a Voidwalker. Sadin believes this energy entity is malevolent and has ulterior motives. However, the prophet thinks it represents an incredibly powerful force. Once mastered, while it may not lead to becoming a cosmic overlord, it would certainly make one the strongest on the Eternal Planet. According to Sadin, the entity also told them that once one becomes a practitioner of the Void, they become akin to a god—Immortal." 0

Cui Ming praised, "That kind of temptation is not something an ordinary person can resist." He briefly shared his experiences in the desert without mentioning Zhir, only stating that he discovered in some texts that there was an energy entity sealed within the Lost Civilization Tomb. Cui Ming continued, "If those texts aren't lying, this energy entity is a Mage from a lost civilization. A Mage who committed such despicable acts and deceived an entire nation—how could someone so wicked only offer benefits without demanding interest or even returning capital?" 0

Li Qing clapped his hands together, "I knew I should trust him." 0

Cui Ming quickly replied, "I'm not sure if they're all in cahoots trying to deceive you." 0

Mi Xiaonan remarked, "No wonder Wandering and Bufon have been so worried. It's not just the Fire Cult; even Silent City is restless. And look at the practitioners—they're all acting independently. If something were to happen, they wouldn't be able to gather together for at least ten days or half a month." 0

As everyone chatted, their spirits lifted considerably; after all, today was meant for joy—dealing with Lion Dog was a matter for tomorrow. 0

The conversation soon shifted to Jayce, with Cui Ming declaring, "He's either treacherous or deceitful." (To be continued.) 0
