Ninjas? The concept of ninjas is both unique and ambiguous. To the east of Dawn City lies a large island known as Sakura Island, which has been steeped in legends of ninjas since ancient times. Many ninjas in the cultivation world hail from Sakura Island, and practitioners interested in Ninjutsu can travel there to learn the art. 0

For ordinary people practicing Ninjutsu, there are two types of ninjas for cultivators: one is the semi-ninja, who practices the ninja path, and the other is the full practitioner of Ninjutsu. Semi-ninjas are those who practice the ninja path to convert Force into Chakra, enabling explosive attacks that are incredibly powerful but lack sustainability and have low defensive capabilities. Pure ninjas, on the other hand, possess both explosive power and considerable endurance, but their drawback is that they can only assist in other paths. 0

Mi Xiaonan, being a Yorkian, must have embarked on her journey to Sakura Island to learn the ways of Chakra as a semi-ninja. Whether they are full ninjas or semi-ninjas, all are adept at stealth and assassination. After mastering the technique of converting Force into Chakra, Mi Xiaonan returned to the York Clan. With a strong sense of honor and belonging, she accepted a mission from the elders of the York Clan to hunt down Weir. 0

Weir was once an ordinary Yorkian filled with curiosity about the outside world but ended up falling into the hands of a human trafficking group. He became a test subject for a mysterious individual, enduring years of torment through experiments. After coming into contact with dark substances, his personality changed drastically, and his mindset became twisted. One day he finally escaped from the laboratory but did not return to the York Clan. Instead, he practiced Dark Magic and became a practitioner of this malevolent art. Dark Magic is recognized as an evil form of magic within the Eternal Sphere; it not only corrupts opponents but also erodes the hearts of its wielders. This transformation turned Weir into someone willing to do anything to achieve his goals. Initially taking on missions from Pirate King Ronk, he killed many people in exchange for a low-grade Magic Stone. To forge this Magic Stone into a staff, he set up an ancient magic circle in a town to drain the life force from its residents using Dark Magic. 0

Although Weir's actions did not cross the bottom line of the Force Alliance and his plight garnered sympathy from other Yorkians, as an honorable Yorkian, it was decided in an elder meeting that Weir should be brought back to the York Clan. By bringing him back, he could become a member of the Hall of Heroes within the clan. Thus, Mi Xiaonan packed her belongings and set off alone to the last city where Weir was seen: Dawn City. 0

Cui Ming curiously asked, "Hall of Heroes? Can’t practitioners enter the Hall of Heroes?" 0

"Heroes are not defined by their origins," Mi Xiaonan replied earnestly as she gazed out at the sunset with glowing eyes. "Only those who have made great contributions for Yorkians can enter the Hall of Heroes. Alas... these days are too peaceful; with the Force Alliance inside and the Eternity Alliance outside, where would heroes come from without war? This opportunity is rare; all practitioners from the York Clan are mobilized." Mi Xiaonan felt a sense of regret about being born in such peaceful times. 0

Beiyue expressed disappointment: "I'm sorry; we have no news about Weir." 0

Mi Xiaonan's expression instantly turned to one of despair as she jumped down from her seat. Cui Ming added, "But..." 0

Feeling a glimmer of hope and warmth, Mi Xiaonan looked expectantly at Cui Ming. 0

Cui Ming smiled mischievously and leaned down to meet her innocent gaze. "To be honest with you, before you arrived, two members from the York Clan had already come by. You see, we run a business here; naturally, we sell to whoever offers us more." 0

Mi Xiaonan touched the small pouch at her waist, a pained expression on her face. "I just returned to the York Clan after my training, and I have no money." 0

"What does money matter? Among cultivators, talking about money is too mundane, right?" 0

"Right." Mi Xiaonan saw the radiant image that Cui Ming exuded; there were still many good people in this world. Li Qing sighed, feeling a sense of déjà vu reminiscent of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. 0

"Here's the thing: two Yorkians came here together before. We were in a dilemma because we had come together. Even if you arrived later, wouldn't it be unfair if we refused to provide you with information?" 0

"Yes, yes, yes." Mi Xiaonan nodded repeatedly. "One of them must be Mi Xiaomo." 0

"The two York Clan members started arguing in the office. Neither of them was willing to share information; they only wanted us to give the information to them alone." 0

"There’s only one spot in the Hall of Heroes," Mi Xiaonan said. "We are clan members, but we are also competitors." 0

Cui Ming nodded. "Then one person started throwing money around. I offered fifty thousand, and the other shouted fifty-one thousand. In the end, it escalated to four hundred thousand. At that point, the one without money got frustrated and shouted, 'I'll work for you for five years, completely at your disposal.' The other one paused for a moment and shouted back, 'Me too, five years.'" 0

"Ah?" Mi Xiaonan was taken aback. "Isn't that called selling oneself?" 0

"Exactly! We definitely couldn't agree to that. How could we? Besides, my Boss is wise and mighty; how could he possibly agree to a contract of servitude? But they had just started bidding. What could we do? In the end, we came up with a solution: we would fairly share crucial information regarding Weir with both of them. Whoever could capture Weir would work for us for five years." 0

Mi Xiaonan was stunned for a moment, blinking her large eyes for quite a while as she felt something was off about that statement. Cui Ming added, "We were being fair. If you can't capture Weir and can't become a hero, then working for us for five years would be too much for us to accept. But if you do capture Weir and defeat your clan member, it would be thanks to this information. In the end, both of them accepted this proposal." 0

Mi Xiaonan hurriedly asked, "Did you give them the information?" 0

"No," Cui Ming said. "Although Dawn City and the York Clan have little interaction, the friendship between our two nations runs deep. Guests are always welcome, but Weir is unique; there is only one hero. If we act unjustly, and word gets out that Dawn City is filled with villains, it would damage our diplomatic relations." 0

"Then..." 0

Cui Ming continued, "We have set a timeframe of five days. Within these five days, we will provide the same information to all inquiries from the Yorkians. After five days, your people can compete fairly among themselves. Whoever captures Weir will be the winner. Although Weir has a notorious reputation, he hasn't committed any serious offenses in Dawn City. We have intelligence on him, and theoretically, we cannot betray him. However, if you wish to bring your people back, we cannot interfere with your internal affairs. Right?" 0

Mi Xiaonan nodded, pondering for a while before weakly asking, "So that means I also have to sign..." 0

"A contract is certainly necessary. There won't be any indentured servitude; that's not what we're about. The contract is quite simple. You can ask around about Beiyue and Boss; they never mistreat their employees and treat them very well. You can spend money freely and access your own safe, right?" Cui Ming glanced at Li Qing, who nodded in agreement. Paralysis still required someone to support it. Cui Ming turned back to Mi Xiaonan and added, "Moreover, you need to understand that your two clansmen have already signed contracts. If you don't sign, it would be unfair to them. I know the York Clan very well; you value your promises highly, and the elders place great importance on trustworthiness. Normally, a verbal agreement would suffice; we would trust you. But that wouldn't be fair to your clansmen." 0

After thinking for a while longer, Mi Xiaonan finally replied, "I will sign." 0
