Beiyue replied, "Cui Ming guessed correctly; Zhao Wei is indeed quite violent. There are tales of Zhao Wei from the Eastern Continent and Jinjin from the Western Continent. Both young ladies hail from the Gang and are wanted criminals. Comparatively, Zhao Wei has more principles than Jinjin. Zhao Wei commits crimes for the thrill of robbery, while Jinjin creates chaos without regard for consequences." 0

Cui Ming asked, "Does the Alliance not intervene?" 0

Beiyue explained, "Jinjin dislikes killing; she simply enjoys causing chaos. She inherently detests order and loves to clash with law enforcement practitioners. Of course, she has caused many deaths, which is a fact. Jinjin has always been one of the Alliance's Most Wanted Criminals." 0

Cui Ming sighed, "What has happened to the world? Why are women so violent?" 0

Beiyue coldly responded, "That's because men have become soft." 0

"Haha." Cui Ming chuckled awkwardly, momentarily forgetting that Beiyue was also a violent woman. "Let's change the subject; the night view of Dawnmoon City is quite nice. Senior Brother, our ship is the day after tomorrow, right?" 0

Li Qing ignored Cui Ming and said, "Currently, practitioner crime is the biggest headache for the Alliance. Eva, Raefus, Zhao Wei, Jinjin, and others are all well-known practitioners because of their crimes." 0

Cui Ming replied, "That's normal; human nature is ugly. Once people gain power and are unrestrained, they do whatever they want. Even in the cultivation world, money still holds great importance. However, have you noticed that these individuals still possess some limits? By limits, I mean they retain a sense of pride as practitioners. Except for Zhao Wei, both Eva and Raefus target practitioners, and Jinjin challenges law enforcement practitioners." 0

Li Qing responded, "That should be considered basic decency. For instance, humans intentionally stepping on an ant to flaunt their strength is an unimaginable act of foolishness." 0

Cui Ming said, "Conversely, among so many criminals, Zhao Wei seems to have the least limits. I'm curious why robbing a civilian target brings her joy as a practitioner." 0

"It should stem from a lack of confidence," Li Qing concluded and then asked, "Beiyue, if Jinjin and Zhao Wei were to cause trouble in Dawn City, would you assist the police?" 0

“Jinjin is a wanted criminal by the Alliance, and any practitioner must capture her. As for Zhao Wei, I still hold the same attitude; after all, she has her limits and hasn’t harmed ordinary people, which is Evelyn's concern.” 0

After two uneventful days, they took the Ferry back to Dawn City. During those two days, Cui Ming and Li Qing mostly wandered around, primarily tasting the delicacies of Dawnmoon City, discussing flavors, and picking up culinary skills. Ding Ze remained as usual, lounging in the hotel, occasionally sitting in the lobby to play the piano and relax. The handsome man took advantage of his charm, collecting phone numbers from five beautiful women over the two days, with some even approaching him directly. Beiyue spent half her time reading and the other half shopping for books, also joining Cui Ming and Li Qing for meals when they went out together. 0

Beiyue was not picky about food; to her, it was a necessity for survival. Li Qing and Cui Ming could be described as food enthusiasts at best or gluttons at worst. Cui Ming was relatively refined and didn’t eat much, while Li Qing could easily be described as devouring everything in sight. Cui Ming often thought of Stone Man Mott when witnessing Li Qing’s eating habits. 0

On the Ferry, they naturally discussed maritime affairs. Li Qing and Beiyue coincidentally brought up Lank, one of the Most Wanted Criminals of the Force Alliance. Lank’s father was a pirate, and on his eighteenth birthday, Lank killed him and declared himself captain of the Abyss. He was incredibly ruthless, a nightmare of the seas. The Force bounty hunters had attempted to raid his hideout twice but were always evaded by him. He controlled the life-and-death routes from the Eastern Continent to the Southern Western Continent, forcing many shipping vessels from the Eastern Continent to take northern routes instead. He was a born villain with no morals or limits. At the same time, he was also the king of Gambling City on Blazing Island in the southern Western Continent. Gambling City was a chaotic place without police, managed by various gangs whose leaders were all staunch loyalists to Lank. 0

Among practitioners, notorious individuals were well-known due to repeated mentions and investigations leading to their being wanted. In contrast, people like Li Qing and Beiyue had relatively plain backgrounds; many only knew that there were practitioners in Dawn City without any knowledge of their backgrounds. 0

What happens when one is wanted by the Alliance? 0

There are two types of wanted individuals: the first type is labeled as enemies of the Alliance—war-mongering troublemakers whom the Alliance ruthlessly suppresses. 0

The second type consists of those listed on the wanted list; generally, the Alliance does not send experts to capture them but issues bounties instead. Internal personnel and ordinary practitioners receive bounty notices every six months; those interested can become bounty hunters. There is also a provision encouraging wrongdoers to reform: if a wanted person applies for the next Alliance Assessment, their wanted status will be temporarily lifted. If they pass the assessment, they will be bound by internal rules; if they fail, they will remain wanted. Each person can only apply once within five years. 0

The Alliance's wanted system is quite powerful; bounties for Most Wanted Criminals are high and may even include rewards like Magic Stones and Force Stones. Once Jinjin and Lank appeared on the wanted list, they immediately adopted low profiles; even so, they had to worry about bounty hunters showing up unexpectedly. Anyone can become a bounty hunter; even Jinjin could kill Lank to claim rewards and potentially clear her own wanted status. This rule is quite sinister and makes it nearly impossible for villainous practitioners to unite against the Force Alliance. 0

The Ferry was much faster than a cargo ship; within ten days, Beiyue and her companions returned to Dawn City. They took a taxi home from the dock but were stunned upon entering their small villa. Aside from its exterior still standing, everything inside had vanished without a trace. Clothes, wardrobes, carpets, dishes—everything had been cleared out; even the safe embedded in the wall was gone. 0

Li Qing stepped inside amidst the astonished gazes of everyone, then turned around in confusion, looking around. "Has it been renovated?" 0

Cui Ming replied softly, "It has been remodeled by someone." 0

Beiyue hurried upstairs and quickly came back down, running his hands through his hair. "It's all gone." All the clothes, the bed, the table—everything was missing. 0

"This makes no sense," Cui Ming said as he stepped outside to check if they had entered the wrong villa. It wouldn't be surprising if there were thieves, but what kind of thief would leave no trash can untouched in the living room? 0

Ding Ze emerged from his room, raising his hands in defeat. "Everything's gone." 0

Li Qing finally grasped the situation and asked, "Was there anything particularly valuable?" 0

Cui Ming shook his head; he had nothing. Ding Ze also shook his head; he had nothing either. Beiyue thought for a moment and said, "An album, the one with my mother's photos—it's the only picture I have." 0

"That's not right," Cui Ming said, looking around. "This isn't just a burglary; it's a retaliatory theft. If I'm correct, there should be something left behind by the perpetrator somewhere in the house. If it's a retaliatory theft, they will definitely want us to know something to satisfy their desire for revenge." 0
