The three of them were serious this time. Cui Ming was very likely to be attacked. After all, Cui Ming was a practitioner, and the fact that he hadn't even sent out a distress signal indicated that his opponent was formidable. 0

Ding Ze's target was the small mountain. He saw the pool of water and noticed nothing unusual. He then ascended the small mountain, preparing to climb higher for reconnaissance. Suddenly, as he teleported to a position halfway up the mountain, he felt a force make contact behind him before he could react. A shockwave erupted behind him, and an immense power struck Ding Ze's body, sending him flying dozens of meters high before crashing down at an angle. 0

Ding Ze flew high enough to be noticeable, but Li Qing didn't see it. Beiyue saw clearly and lit a firework that shot toward the small mountain. Hearing the sound, Li Qing turned and headed toward it. 0

Ding Ze crashed to the ground without any surprise. The force hit him like a drop of water striking a stone, shattering into pieces. Ding Ze groaned softly, and from beside him came a weak voice: "You’re here?" 0

Enduring the pain, Ding Ze turned his head and saw Cui Ming lying about five meters away from him. They were both sprawled on a large rock. Ding Ze wanted to ask what had happened, but the force immediately rebounded against him, so he quickly gave up and focused on recovering from his injuries. Annoyingly, there was a fly buzzing beside him: "That landing was too precise! Ding Ze, did you see what attacked you? I just wanted to take a bath... Being a hero these days is too dangerous. Wow, Beiyue is here—be careful." 0

Beiyue landed on the rock, and as her body made contact with it, a massive shockwave sent Ding Ze and Cui Ming tumbling off the stone and rolling downwards. Unaware of what had just happened, Beiyue jumped up to catch Greatsword and continued charging toward the small mountain. 0

Ding Ze found his head stuck in a crevice of the rock. Come on, can’t you give me a hand? She must have sensed my presence; at least I’m not dead... 0

Cui Ming had recovered significantly after more than twenty minutes and climbed back onto the stone slab. "Give me ten more minutes, and I'll be fine! Here I go!" With all his strength, he rolled off the slab just as a massive stone weighing hundreds of pounds crashed down onto it, causing it to shatter instantly. Cui Ming cursed loudly: "Do they have to throw everything over here?" 0

"Shut up," Ding Ze gasped for breath. "Look up." 0

Cui Ming looked up to see that rocks were raining down from halfway up the mountain, flying in all directions. 0

Li Qing was already engaged in battle with a monster when a rock came flying toward him. He kicked it away with his leg, sending it crashing down onto another creature that matched the color of the rocks. It roared in response and charged at Li Qing with great speed. Li Qing quickly dodged with another kick while Beiyue executed a combined strike with her blade. The two shockwaves collided violently. Beiyue lost her balance and was sent flying out of the mountain while Li Qing turned back and kicked at the creature again; it showed no reaction at all. 0

"Li Qing shouted, 'We can't take it on together.' He had the upper hand in technique, but the opponent was something else entirely—tough-skinned and resilient. His attacks with feet and stones had no effect, and Beiyue's sword strikes merely sparked against its body. 0

Just as he finished speaking, a tremendous force erupted from underground, sending Li Qing flying into the air. The others seized the opportunity while he was airborne and crashed into him, propelling him out of the mountain. In mid-air, Li Qing turned around and shouted, executing a spinning kick that sent him flying back into the small mountain. Upon landing, he sensed no movement and activated his Force. He needed to hold his ground and entangle the opponent until Ding Ze could recover. However, it seemed the enemy also recognized that Li Qing was not easy to deal with and fell silent. 0

Beiyue returned to the small mountain, standing high above to observe. 'Where did it go?' 0

'I don't know.' Eyes and ears have their limits; even with Li Qing's sound wave positioning, he couldn't detect the opponent's presence in its completely still state. But theoretically, this was impossible—humans and animals have heartbeats and pulses. 0

The small mountain began to tremble. Suddenly, a rock shot up from the ground and hurled toward Beiyue, who deflected it with his Greatsword. Then came a second and a third rock; stones from the mountain seemed to possess a will of their own as they leaped toward the two. After skillfully dodging a few rocks, Li Qing landed only to be ambushed as everyone burst forth from the ground. With no way to evade, he was struck again—not by an uppercut this time but by a straight punch that sent him flying out of the mountain. 0

Finally, Beiyue and Li Qing got a clear look at their opponent: a towering humanoid monster over two meters tall, its body resembling rock with a pair of eyes and a mouth. The creature stood up, flames erupting from its body as lava flowed across its surface, charging toward Beiyue. 0

Without hesitation, Beiyue engaged head-on, following a hard-hitting approach typical of his enhancement style. His Greatsword struck the monster's body, but he was thrown back by the shockwave. In their exchanges, both Beiyue and Li Qing's continuous attacks failed to make the monster retreat even an inch; instead, each of its counterattacks was immensely powerful, sending them flying repeatedly. The three battled from the top of the mountain down to its base, soaring through the air without inflicting significant damage on one another. They temporarily ceased fighting. 0

Cui Ming shakily stood up between Li Qing on his left and Beiyue on his right while Ding Ze lay on the ground. Cui Ming was furious. 'Watch how I deal with it.' 0

Li Qing replied sternly, 'Junior brother, don't joke around now.' 0

'Who’s joking?' Cui Ming took a deep breath and leaped toward the pond. Beiyue curiously followed him but quickly turned away when Cui Ming pulled down his pants. The sound of rushing water made Beiyue want to kill Cui Ming. 0

To Beiyue's surprise, Cui Ming was indeed serious; a roar erupted from halfway up the mountain—an angry bellow as the monster frantically hurled stones while charging toward the pond. Cui Ming zipped up his zipper and turned to run. 'Boss, hold it off!' 0

Beiyue planted his feet firmly on the ground, gripping his massive sword with both hands as he waited silently. When the monster approached within ten meters, Beiyue clashed with it head-on; countless blades appeared out of thin air within that range to strike at the monster simultaneously. Without contesting it further, Beiyue flew out as blades swirled around him; sparks flew from the monster's body as it emerged unscathed from the barrage of blades without even glancing at Beiyue before relentlessly pursuing Cui Ming." 0

"Young man, you are pure once again." Cui Ming sighed. Indeed, he had realized the importance of the water pool to this monster. However, the boy's nature led him to retaliate after being beaten, without considering the consequences of his actions. The result was that he was chased like a stray dog. Why seek momentary satisfaction? He should have encouraged Li Qing to relieve himself; after all, Li Qing couldn't be killed. Then they could gather food with the help of the other three, and after half a month of fighting, Li Qing would starve the monster. 0

The monster wasn't particularly fast; it was somewhat clumsy. Unless it launched a sudden mid-range charge, its speed on the road was quite poor. Cui Ming led it in circles, asking, "Boss, Senior Brother, can't you think of something?" 0

Beiyue and Li Qing stood in the center of the spinning circle, deep in thought. They truly had no way to deal with it; the monster was too tough. They could only wait for Ding Ze. After about ten minutes, Ding Ze finally arrived. With a sudden teleportation, he unleashed a bolt of energy that struck the monster. The creature stiffened for a moment, swayed slightly, and several stones fell from its body as it continued to chase Cui Ming. 0
