Seeing Tang Hao'er looking wronged, Zhao Jun couldn't help but chuckle. 0

This Tang Hao'er was truly an oddity among girls, preferring armor over dresses. 0

Zhao Jun held Tang Hao'er's hand and squeezed it gently, then turned to Li Wei and Su Mei, saying, "The place we're camping is basically safe now. The only things we lack are food, medicine, and clothes. Li Wei, you should rest well for a bit. Tonight, we’ll go out and gather some food to stock up. Later, I’ll find some time to look for medicine..." 0

Tang Hao'er pouted and interrupted Zhao Jun, asking, "Where are you going to find medicine?" 0

Zhao Jun smiled and replied, "Did you forget I'm a teacher? I teach geography and nature at school, so I have some knowledge about medicinal herbs. Yesterday on the mountain, I found a few herbs. Once we get back, I'll gather some essentials for emergencies." 0

The girl's mood shifted quickly; upon hearing that Zhao Jun was going out to collect herbs, Tang Hao'er's eyes lit up as she hugged his arm and praised him without reservation, "Zhao Jun, you're amazing! You even know about medicinal herbs!" 0

This must be what they call love making one blind; Tang Hao'er’s compliments made Zhao Jun feel a bit shy. Meanwhile, Su Mei and Li Wei nodded in agreement with Tang Hao'er. Since yesterday, Zhao Jun had brought them a series of surprises—shooting down a plane with a rifle, helping Cheng Zhengxiong with surgery, and finding this hidden cave. It seemed everything remarkable had been accomplished by this teacher. 0

Zhao Jun turned to Li Wei and said, "Li Wei, now that we’ve escaped, it's just the three of us men left. Daxiong is injured; you need to take on more responsibility." 0

Li Wei replied somewhat sheepishly, "No problem." 0

Zhao Jun smiled and added, "Later, please check our belongings and organize them by category. It will be easier for us to use them when the time comes." 0

Hearing this from Zhao Jun eased Li Wei's mind as he patted his chest confidently and said, "Leave it to me." 0

Zhao Jun glanced at Su Mei sitting there in her torn long skirt and sighed with a wry smile. "Sister Su, please take care of Daxiong. While we're gone, the matters in the cave will be up to you. I'll find a way to bring you back some clothes." 0

Su Mei blushed slightly and replied softly, "Teacher Zhao, I can't do anything... I'm just a burden to you all." 0

Su Mei knew very well that among the five who had escaped, she was the least capable and often added to their troubles. To put it bluntly, she was nothing more than a pretty vase—nice to look at but utterly useless. 0

Su Mei did not want to be a mere decoration, nor did she wish to be a burden to others. However, she realized that aside from acting, she truly did not know how to do anything else. 0

Zhao Jun smiled and said, "What are you talking about, Sister Su? Since we are fated to work together, we are like family. As long as you can manage this cave well and ensure we have no worries, you will have already contributed your part." 0

Su Mei smiled a bit shyly and replied, "Don't worry, I will do my best." 0

Zhao Jun scratched his head with a grin. The issue of clothing was indeed a problem for them. The cave they were hiding in was quite secluded, but even when the tide went out, they still had to wade through water to enter and exit the cave. As of now, Tang Hao'er and the others were still wearing damp clothes that had been soaked in seawater, which was certainly uncomfortable. 0

The only way to get clothes would be to retrieve their belongings from the Bandit Nest, which was simply impossible. 0

Another option would be to rely on what they could scavenge. For instance, the camouflage outfit Zhao Jun was currently wearing had been taken from a corpse. He just wasn't sure if the others would mind wearing clothes taken from dead bodies. 0

Zhao Jun's gaze wandered as he stared at Su Mei's long dress. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his thigh. 0

He grimaced and looked over at Tang Hao'er, who was beside him. Tang Hao'er wrinkled her nose and pulled back her hand that had been hidden under her clothing, huffing at Zhao Jun. 0

Zhao Jun knew that Tang Hao'er was feeling jealous again. He forced a smile and shook his head. "Well, I think I'll take a nap first. I haven't slept at all; my eyes can barely stay open. Li Wei, keep an eye out for any movement and wake me up when it gets dark. We can go out together to find something to eat." 0

Tang Hao'er piped up, "I’ll go too." 0

Zhao Jun chuckled, "We'll see how it goes then." 0

Tang Hao'er grabbed Zhao Jun's still damp clothes and stood up with him. She pulled him along and headed toward one side of the cave where they had been sleeping earlier. 0

Zhao Jun stole a guilty glance at Li Wei and Su Mei, only to find Li Wei making exaggerated facial expressions and grinning mischievously at him. 0

Zhao Jun cleared his throat lightly, choosing not to look at the scheming Li Wei any longer, and strode forward to catch up with Tang Hao'er. 0

So what if I’m paired up with Hao'er? 0

Tang Hao'er had arranged a sleeping spot for herself and Zhao Jun that could be considered the high point of the cave. It was right next to an opening the size of a soccer ball, almost like having a window in the room. The air was fresh, and they could see a stretch of the sea beyond the cliff. If this were a vacation or some kind of adventure game, the scenery here would indeed be quite appealing, satisfying people's curiosity. 0

However, Zhao Jun was far from relaxed at the moment. After two sleepless nights and all that had happened, he finally had a moment to breathe. As he let his guard down, his eyelids began to droop. 0

Zhao Jun forced himself to crouch by the opening and peek outside. All he could see was the vast ocean; however, he did spot a few seabird feathers at the entrance, suggesting that this cave had once been a nesting place for birds before being taken over by them. 0

He turned back and propped his AUG against the cave wall, sitting down on the blanket that Tang Hao'er had laid out. Looking at her, he said, “Hao'er, I'm going to sleep for a bit. Wake me up if anything happens.” 0

Tang Hao'er obediently replied with a soft "mm": “You sleep; I'll dry your clothes for you.” 0

Zhao Jun smiled as he lay down on the blanket. Just as Tang Hao'er opened her mouth to say something, Zhao Jun had already fallen into a deep, even snore. 0

Tang Hao'er stomped her foot in frustration. After all her hard work cleaning up the bird droppings and laying out the blanket for him, he didn’t even bother to say thank you before dozing off. 0

But not long after, she looked at the peacefully sleeping Zhao Jun and couldn’t help but chuckle softly: “Pig.” 0

With a twist of her waist, Tang Hao'er returned to the campfire to continue drying their clothes. 0
