As the helicopter departed from the mountaintop, Zhao Jun and the others, hidden behind a massive boulder at the foot of the mountain, collectively sighed in relief. 0

Li Wei looked at Zhao Jun and asked, "Zhao Jun, do you think they will come back?" 0

Zhao Jun shook his head and replied, "They shouldn't return tonight. However, we can't let our guard down. Let's not light a fire. Daxiong is injured, so we'll take turns keeping watch. Everyone should rest while they can; we need to leave here before dawn." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong said, "I'm fine; I can keep watch with you." 0

Tang Hao'er wrinkled her nose and added, "I can do it too." 0

Zhao Jun patted Cheng Zhengxiong's arm and said, "Daxiong, this isn't the time to be brave. You need to recover your strength quickly; after dawn, we might face severe challenges." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong stared into Zhao Jun's eyes for a moment before nodding vigorously. "Alright, Zhao Jun. You all take care; we'll go rest." 0

Zhao Jun nodded and handed his Assault Rifle to Li Wei. "Li Wei, you take the first half of the night; I'll take the second half." 0

Li Wei responded with an "mm" as he accepted the Assault Rifle. In truth, he preferred the AUG that Tang Hao'er was tightly holding onto instead of the AK that Zhao Jun had given him. Unfortunately, Tang Hao'er refused to let go of her weapon. 0

The first half of the night was relatively easy for the sentry duty, but as fatigue set in during the latter half, it became easy for those on watch to doze off. By assigning the first half to Li Wei, Zhao Jun was looking out for him but was also somewhat concerned about him falling asleep and letting an enemy sneak up on them. 0

After crawling into a rocky cave, Zhao Jun handed one of the three blankets he had confiscated from the helicopter to Cheng Zhengxiong and another to Tang Hao'er. He kept one for himself and stepped out of the cave to give his blanket to Li Wei, whispering, "It's windy on the island; wrap yourself in this so you don't catch a cold." 0

Li Wei grinned as he took the blanket and draped it over himself. He smiled at Zhao Jun and said, "Zhao Laoshi, why do I suddenly feel like I don't know you anymore? What's it like killing someone with me?" 0

Zhao Jun looked at Li Wei in disbelief and replied, "When you're faced with life or death and have only one choice, you won't feel anything at all. Alright, stay alert; I'm going to sleep." 0

As Li Wei saw Zhao Jun about to leave, he quickly reached out from under the blanket and grabbed Zhao Jun's arm, whispering mysteriously, "Hey, I really didn't see this coming. You actually managed to win over Tang Hao'er. So, how does it feel to kiss Sister Tang?" 0

Zhao Jun punched Li Wei in annoyance and glared at him. "What time is it for you to still be gossiping? I can't be bothered with you. I'm going to sleep." 0

With that, Zhao Jun turned and walked into the cave, while behind him, he could hear Li Wei's mischievous laughter. 0

Moonlight filtered through the cracks at the top of the cave. Although it was dim inside, it was not so dark that one couldn't see. 0

Zhao Jun noticed that Cheng Zhengxiong and Su Mei were already wrapped in a blanket and sleeping on one side, while the shadow in the other corner was undoubtedly Tang Hao'er. 0

Zhao Jun couldn't help but glance at Tang Hao'er a couple more times. They had known each other for only a little over thirty hours, yet they had already kissed twice under unusual circumstances. The first kiss was initiated by him to prevent Tang Hao'er from saying something inappropriate in a moment of panic. The second kiss, however, was initiated by her; though it was just a light peck, it carried a different meaning. 0

Looking at the shadow of Tang Hao'er, Zhao Jun smiled bitterly and shook his head lightly. 0

How could there be any possibility between him and Tang Hao'er? One was a pampered daughter from a wealthy family, while the other was just a teacher at school. They belonged to entirely different worlds. Once they left this deserted island, Tang Hao'er would likely forget all about him very quickly. 0

Zhao Jun sat down where the campfire had been lit earlier and smoothed out the sand on the ground before lying down. 0

The sand had been warmed by the fire for quite some time and was still pleasantly warm, making it very comfortable to lie on. 0

In fact, only a short while had passed, and none of the others in the cave were asleep yet. Zhao Jun remained unaware that Tang Hao'er had been watching him with wide-open eyes. 0

Seeing Zhao Jun lying on the ground fully clothed, Tang Hao'er couldn't help but wrinkle her nose and let out a soft huff. 0

This idiot, can't he come over and share a blanket with me? Can't he see I've left so much space for him? He'll freeze to death like this. 0

Cheng Zhengxiong saw Zhao Jun lying alone on the sand. After a moment, he couldn't help but speak up, "Zhao Jun, why don't you come over and squeeze in with us? This blanket is quite large." 0

Inside the cave, the four of them were sharing two blankets. It seemed a bit inappropriate to have Zhao Jun share a blanket with Tang Hao'er. He realized that it would have been better to let Su Mei share a blanket with Tang Hao'er while he shared one with Zhao Jun. However, they had already settled down, and changing things now would seem awkward. 0

Zhao Jun smiled and replied, "I'm warm enough here with the sand heated by the fire, Big Bear. You don’t need to worry about me. Just go to sleep; I’ll take a turn replacing Li Wei after a while." 0

Su Mei secretly pinched Cheng Zhengxiong's chest, signaling him to stop talking. 0

As soon as Zhao Jun finished speaking, Tang Hao'er, who had been sulking in the corner, angrily rolled over and stood up, grabbing a blanket and walking over to Zhao Jun. She unceremoniously draped the blanket over him. 0

Zhao Jun quickly sat up and said, "You can keep it; I'm not cold." 0

Tang Hao'er huffed, "If I don't cover you, then I won't cover myself." 0

With that, Tang Hao'er lay down next to Zhao Jun, pulled the blanket over her legs, and stubbornly pushed Zhao Jun back down. She grabbed one of his arms and used it as a pillow, commanding him, "Pull the blanket up." 0

Zhao Jun couldn't help but smile slightly as he pulled the blanket up to cover both of them. 0

Su Mei chuckled softly and pinched Cheng Zhengxiong's chest again. Look at that; they ended up sleeping together. 0

Zhao Jun settled back down with Tang Hao'er resting on one of his arms. He suddenly felt awkward; the drowsiness that had washed over him moments ago vanished completely. 0

Tang Hao'er shifted slightly and adjusted the blanket for more comfort. She found Zhao Jun's other arm, which had gone stiff, and pulled it behind her back while wrapping her arms around his waist, pressing her body tightly against him. 0

"Gulp," Zhao Jun swallowed hard. 0

Happiness came too suddenly; he was completely unprepared for it. 0

Hearing Zhao Jun swallow, Tang Hao'er chuckled, her body trembling slightly. She opened her eyes and met Zhao Jun's gaze, their eyes colliding in the darkness. 0

In that moment, it felt as if only their gazes remained in the world. 0

Zhao Jun extended his tongue to lick his dry lips and swallowed again. 0

Holding each other close, every breath allowed them to smell one another's scent, and both their hearts began to race. 0

Zhao Jun was no hypocrite; first and foremost, he was a man—a man with perfectly normal physiological responses. 0

In such a situation, if Zhao Jun remained unmoved, he would truly deserve to be called 'worse than a beast.' 0

Tentatively, Zhao Jun pressed his lips gently against Tang Hao'er's cherry-like mouth, his mind racing with a thousand explanations for her sudden outburst… Well, I couldn't help it… You're just too beautiful… You kissed me this afternoon; I had to kiss you back… 0

With that light kiss, Tang Hao'er let out a soft hum through her nose and closed her beautiful eyes. 0

Zhao Jun felt Tang Hao'er’s arms around his back tighten even more. How could he not understand her feelings? With a sigh of relief, the arm that had been stiff under her head suddenly came to life, pulling Tang Hao'er closer as his lips found hers once more. 0

This must be what a true first kiss feels like. 0
