The bandits within the Iron Mesh Wall were in a frenzy of excitement. Zhao Jun climbed down from the wall, and below him, Li Wei, Tang Hao'er, and others hurriedly reached out to catch him. Even Cheng Zhengxiong, who had just fallen from the wall and was struggling to get up, called out and extended his hand towards the descending Zhao Jun. 0

Zhao Jun had jumped down on his own; his body was not completely out of control. With the help of Li Wei and the others, he quickly stood up. 0

At that moment, chaotic footsteps could be heard from within the wall, accompanied by Yang Bing's urgent shouts: "Run! Find a way to survive..." 0

Zhao Jun wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes and shouted to the anxious Cheng Zhengxiong and the others beside him, "Listen to Brother Yang! Run!" 0

Cheng Zhengxiong quickly asked, "What happened to Brother Yang?" 0

Zhao Jun shouted back towards the wall, "Brother Yang, I swear I will come back to save you!" 0

Having said that, Zhao Jun grabbed Tang Hao'er's hand and pushed a bewildered Li Wei aside before sprinting towards the forest away from the high wall. He responded to Cheng Zhengxiong's inquiry as he ran, "Brother Yang is injured..." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong, who was being supported by Su Mei as they followed Zhao Jun and the others, paused for a moment. He shot an unfriendly glare at Su Mei and snorted in anger. 0

Su Mei, feeling guilty, put on a mournful expression and said to Cheng Zhengxiong, "Zhengxiong, I was wrong, but..." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong shook off Su Mei's arm with a huff and replied, "There’s no 'but.' If anything happens to Brother Yang, all responsibility lies with you." 0

Although it wasn't the time for such arguments, Cheng Zhengxiong couldn't help but want to scold Su Mei. If it hadn't been for her scream, they could have safely escaped from that compound while taking advantage of the helicopter's arrival. Now not only was he injured, but Yang Bing was also hurt and left behind. 0

Though they hadn't known Yang Bing for long and didn't understand him well, he had been the mastermind behind their escape plan. Without Yang Bing, they wouldn't have even made it out of that den of thieves. 0

Now they had escaped, but Yang Bing remained trapped inside with a gunshot wound—his life uncertain. Cheng Zhengxiong's anger naturally directed itself at Su Mei, whom he blamed for everything. 0

The searchlight on the watchtower had been smashed by Charlie, and no one fired at Zhao Jun and the others anymore. Taking advantage of the fading light, the five of them successfully fled into the forest. 0

Gradually, daylight broke as a red sun rose from the horizon over the sea. In an instant, it became a blazing sun that was hard to look at directly. 0

Li Wei leaned against a tree to catch his breath and shouted towards Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er, who had already run ahead for some distance: "Zhao Jun! They haven't chased us; let's take a break!" 0

Hearing Li Wei suggest resting, Cheng Zhengxiong—who could no longer hold on—collapsed onto his knees and pressed his hands against the ground as he gasped for air. 0

Zhao Jun stood there panting. He turned back to glance at the others behind him before releasing Tang Hao'er's hand and quickly walking towards Cheng Zhengxiong. 0

Zhao Jun knew that this was not the time to stop and rest, but looking at the others, it was clear they were all exhausted. Even he himself felt close to collapsing, though he was more resilient than these pampered young masters and ladies. 0

As Zhao Jun released his grip, Tang Hao'er’s legs gave way, and she sank to the ground, wiping the sweat from her forehead with her sleeve. 0

If it weren't for her stubborn determination pushing her forward, she would have long since been unable to run. 0

Zhao Jun quickly ran over to Cheng Zhengxiong's side, grabbing his blood-soaked arm and urgently saying, "Let me see your wound." 0

"Damn it, it's all my fault. If I hadn't taken a bullet in the shoulder, we could have pulled Yang up," Cheng Zhengxiong gasped. 0

He knew full well that in that moment of crisis, Yang Bing had chosen to get them out first. Such an act could only be described as heroic, no matter when it was recounted. 0

It was precisely because of them that Yang Bing had been trapped in that den of thieves. 0

Thinking of this, Cheng Zhengxiong couldn't help but glare fiercely at Su Mei. 0

Su Mei lowered her head in shame, unable to meet Cheng Zhengxiong's gaze. 0

Zhao Jun peeled back the Versace fabric on Cheng Zhengxiong's shoulder and said softly, "Bear with the pain; I’ll check it out." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong grunted in response. Zhao Jun pressed down on his shoulder while Su Mei hurriedly handed over a handkerchief. 0

Zhao Jun took the handkerchief and quickly wiped away the blood from Cheng Zhengxiong's shoulder. He glanced at the still-bleeding gunshot wound and turned his head to examine the back of Cheng Zhengxiong's shoulder. Frowning, he pressed his fingers against the wound. 0

Cheng Zhengxiong let out a muffled groan but gritted his teeth to keep from crying out. 0

Zhao Jun frowned and said, "The bullet is still inside. But now is not the time to remove it. It's already dawn; those bandits could catch up with us at any moment. We need to find a place to hide quickly." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong gritted his teeth and replied in a low voice, "I can hold on." 0

Zhao Jun nodded. "I'll bandage you up first. I've learned some basic first aid; it should come in handy." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong nodded slightly. "Go ahead." 0

Zhao Jun looked up at Li Wei and Tang Hao'er, who were approaching, and asked, "Does anyone have a strip of cloth?" 0

Although Li Wei and Tang Hao'er knew they didn't have anything like that on them, they instinctively reached into their pockets. 0

With a tearing sound, Su Mei had already torn a long strip from her ripped skirt without hesitation and handed it to Zhao Jun. At that moment, she didn't care whether she was exposed; she understood that without Cheng Zhengxiong, she was nothing—not even worthy of being in the spotlight. She was desperately trying to salvage her image in Cheng Zhengxiong's eyes through her actions. 0

Now was not the time to hesitate. Zhao Jun took the strip of cloth from Su Mei and quickly wrapped it around Cheng Zhengxiong's injured shoulder. 0

"Here," Su Mei said, handing another strip of cloth to Zhao Jun. 0

Three strips of cloth were used to bandage Cheng Zhengxiong's wound, and Su Mei's long skirt was beginning to resemble a Hawaiian grass skirt. 0

Zhao Jun silently supported Cheng Zhengxiong's injured arm and commanded Li Wei, "Li Wei, help me support Mr. Cheng. Let's go." 0

"We're leaving already? They haven't caught up yet; let's rest a bit," Li Wei replied with a grin. 0

"It'll be too late once they catch up," Zhao Jun snapped back. 0

Just then, the rumble of engines echoed from afar. They could see a transport helicopter circling low in their direction. 0

Li Wei jumped up suddenly, grabbing Cheng Zhengxiong's other arm and shouted, "Run! They're coming!" 0
