As lunchtime came to an end, the lobby of the research institute gradually became crowded, with every member of the association waiting for an important announcement. The members of the exploration team gathered together, Max, Yuichi, Tang Jie, Carlos, and Anna seemed quite relaxed, chatting easily. Oman had heard their adventure stories many times and knew that Max had the most experience, while the other members had also had multiple adventures. In this relaxed atmosphere, Oman seemed particularly nervous. His hands unconsciously clenched, the veins on his fists faintly visible. His gaze was fixed on the office of Nicholas and Elisa, filled with anticipation and anxiety.

Finally, at the long-awaited moment, Nicholas and Elisa walked out of the office holding a document. "Good afternoon, everyone! I believe you all already know that our purpose for being here today is to announce the list of team members who will be participating in the upcoming expedition to Egypt. There will be five spots available for this expedition."
He paused, looking at each expectant face, and continued, "Over the past period of time, Elisa, myself, and other senior members have been closely observing everyone's performance. I must say, the efforts and growth of each and every one of you have made us very pleased, which has made it particularly difficult for us to make the final selection."
Elisa also added softly, "Everyone's performance has been outstanding, making our decision very difficult. Regardless of the outcome, please remember that each of you is a valuable asset to the association."
Oman's heart raced as he felt a hint of anxiety and unease. He knew that this decision was crucial for him, but he was also aware of the intense competition. He held his breath, hoping to see his name on that list.
Nicholas had just finished speaking, and the members of the association were all holding their breath, eagerly anticipating the upcoming announcement. He continued, "But in every expedition, we must consider the balance of the team, the combination of professional skills, and the adaptability of each member. So, this selection is not just based on individual abilities, but is a comprehensive consideration of many factors."
Elisa added, "The selection process was very difficult because everyone has their own unique strengths. But please remember, even if you were not chosen, it does not mean that your efforts have gone unnoticed. Everyone is an important member of the association."
Afterwards, Nicholas opened the folder in his hand and slowly began to read out the list: "First, the first member of the expedition team is... Dr. Lao Zhong," a senior scholar slowly walked out from the crowd. He raised his hand in acknowledgment, with a faint smile on his face and a firm step. The people present seemed unsurprised by his selection, nodding in agreement.
Oman was curious about this senior member and quietly asked Max. Max explained to Oman: "Lao Zhong is one of our senior members in the association. He holds a high position in the association and is usually responsible for leading the advance team of the expedition. His archaeological experience is very rich, and he has a deep understanding of the history and archaeology of Egypt. It can be said that he is Nicholas's capable assistant."
Oman carefully observed Lao Zhong, the doctor. He appeared to be around sixty years old, with an Asian face and slightly sparse hair. He was dressed in a neat shirt and trousers, exuding the demeanor of a scholar. As he approached Nicholas, the two men shook hands, expressing deep respect and trust for each other.
Nicholas then said, "The second member of the expedition is... Kasandro!" As Nicholas announced the name of the second member of the expedition, a woman with coffee-colored skin stepped out from the crowd, her steps firm and elegant. Kasandro's posture displayed her confidence and professionalism as she respectfully shook hands with Lao Zhong and Nicholas.
Yūichi explained to Oman in a low voice, "Kasandro is Egyptian and is proficient in fifteen languages. She has a deep understanding of linguistics and can fluently use both modern and ancient Egyptian languages. If we need to communicate with local scholars or residents during this expedition, Kasandro will definitely be an important resource for us."
Listening to Yūichi's explanation, Oman looked at Kasandro's figure and felt admiration for her abilities. He knew the complexity of this expedition and felt both excited and eager to work with such talented teammates. His gaze then turned back to Nicholas, looking forward to the upcoming announcement.
Following Nicholas's announcement, the name of Max was mentioned, and he walked out from the crowd. His confident posture and relaxed smile indicated that he was not surprised by his selection. After all, as the leader of the exploration team, his experience and skills were well known. He nodded to Lao Zhong, Casandra, and Nicholas, accepting the congratulations of his colleagues.
However, when another member of Nicholas, Oluşoğa, was mentioned, the atmosphere in the research institute suddenly became tense. The whispers in the crowd grew louder, and some members even showed expressions of displeasure. Oman sensed this change and asked Xiong Yi in confusion, "Who is Oluşoğa? Why would his selection cause such a big reaction?"
