Before them stood a colossal dragon, its massive wings casting a shadow over the land. Its body stretched approximately three hundred meters, with a terrifying and fierce visage, complete with menacing teeth.
As it flapped its wings, a violent wind surged forth, sending sand and stones flying across the ground.
"A dragon."
Xiaqiu gazed at the creature in astonishment; the embodiment of the Dragon People was indeed a dragon.
"Surprising that other beings can reach such heights."
The dragon slowly opened its mouth, producing a deafening roar.
"Can it speak?"
Xiaqiu paused for a moment, then looked at the dragon and asked, "Are you the National Treasure of the Dragon People?"
"The National Treasure is merely your term for me," the dragon replied slowly. "However, I have indeed been guarding the Dragon People, protecting them for eight hundred years."
"Protecting?"
Xiaqiu questioned in confusion, "Why do you protect them?"
"An oath."
The dragon spoke coldly. "Eight hundred years ago, they rescued me from the Demon Clan. I vowed to protect them."
"Is it to protect them? Or is it a necessity to protect?"
Xiaqiu looked at the giant dragon and couldn't help but ask.
"It doesn't matter."
The dragon's voice became deep as it said, "My agreement with the Dragon People is to ensure their safety. If you are willing to abandon your intent to harm the Dragon People now, I can spare your life and let you leave."
"I'm sorry."
Xiaqiu grinned and replied, "Now that I'm here, I have no intention of leaving."
"Is that so?"
The dragon snorted coldly and said, "Then I can only kill you."
"Perhaps it will be me who kills you."
Xiaqiu scoffed and then asked, "But before we engage in battle, I have one more question."
"Ask away." The dragon did not rush to make a move.
Xiaqiu curiously inquired, "Are you what they call a king?"
"Indeed."
The dragon did not deny it and nodded, saying, "I am the King among the King of the Underworld and King of the Sea."
"Is that so?"
Xiaqiu almost figured it out.
Why have the Dragon People been able to rule the world for such a long time?
They treat humans and other races as slaves, collecting tribute from all the countries in the world, becoming what is known as the nobility of this world.
This is not the biggest issue; the problem is why the World Government or the Navy would obey their commands.
Most members of the Navy and the World Government are ordinary people.
Whether it's Sengoku or Kong, many others are not Dragon People.
Yet why do they protect the Dragon People?
The reason is that the Dragon People possess one of the three kings, which is this giant dragon before me.

Marco stood beside Whitebeard, looking up at the giant dragon soaring above, his expression filled with surprise.

"Then die."
The dragon, seeing that Xiaqiu was determined, opened its massive jaws and unleashed a torrent of flames toward Xiaqiu.
The roaring flames descended, engulfing Xiaqiu, scorching the ground, and incinerating the soldiers who could not escape, turning them to ash.
But amidst the flames, a figure surged upward, charging toward the dragon.
Come on!
The final battle!
