The battle raged on.
Deep beneath the sea, the two combatants had yet to determine a victor, their fight stretching on for thirty-six hours. Both Xiaqiu and Kaido had reached their limits.
Xiaqiu was battered and bruised, with a gaping hole in his head that exposed bone. The outermost row of teeth in his mouth had dwindled to just two or three, and his upper jaw was shattered. All of his tentacles were broken, and three of his six legs were twisted, with fractured bones. Even his side had a large gaping wound, and the tip of his tail had been torn off, leaving him gravely injured.
As for Kaido, the twin horns on his head were completely shattered, and his left arm was rendered useless, unable to lift. His body was covered in bloodstains; his sternum was fractured, one leg was broken, and he could only stand on one leg, limping painfully.
"Come again," Xiaqiu roared defiantly, limping through the pain as he charged at Kaido, crashing into him headfirst.
"Bring it on!" Kaido laughed heartily, limping towards Xiaqiu. As he closed the distance, he raised his fist and struck Xiaqiu squarely on the head.
Bang.
Xiaqiu was knocked down to the ground while Kaido stumbled back a few steps before collapsing onto the ground.
"I can't go on."
Xiaqiu shook his head, slowly straightened up, and walked to the side, leaning over the corpse of the Sea Kings, taking large bites.
In this sea area, the bodies of the Sea Kings had already turned into three, lying across the seabed like mountains.
"Let's take a break."
Kaido limped over to the corpse of the Sea Kings as well, tearing off a piece of flesh and putting it in his mouth, chewing vigorously.
Both of them were now at their physical limits, their strength greatly diminished, unable to even break through each other's defenses.
After eating, they did not immediately resume fighting but continued to rest.
"Hurry up, hurry up."
Xiaqiu anxiously waited. After a while, the food in his body began to transform into powerful Evolutionary Energy, flowing throughout his body.
His injuries had healed somewhat.
But his stamina was still lacking.
Xiaqiu continued to rest; after reaching its peak, the Heat Flow gradually weakened and eventually disappeared completely after twenty minutes.
Half an hour of rest allowed Xiaqiu to recover some stamina and heal some injuries.
"Come on."
Xiaqiu watched Kaido sitting in the distance, planning to take advantage of his weakened state.
He had already lost one hand and one leg, rendering him unable to escape. All that was left was to continue the assault; if he took out another leg, Kaido would become nothing more than meat on a chopping board, ready for slaughter.
"This bastard has incredible stamina," Kaido thought, feeling pain all over his body. He had regained some strength and his injuries had healed a bit, but it was all in vain.
"Your injuries..."
He looked at Xiaqiu in the distance, narrowing his eyes with displeasure.
"Did you notice?" Xiaqiu asked with a smile.
"Yes, your healing ability is quite surprising," Kaido replied, noticing how much Xiaqiu's wounds had improved, especially the one on his head. What had once exposed large areas of bone had now shrunk significantly.
"My self-healing ability is far superior to yours," Xiaqiu sneered. "So you are destined to die here."
"Is that so?"
Kaido found himself in a difficult situation; he had reached his limit, and with just a few more injuries, he would be unable to continue.
Clang.
At that moment, a dark object fell from the sky, crashing down behind Kaido.
"Hmm?"
Seeing this, Xiaqiu furrowed his brow.
"What is this?"
Kaido's face lit up with joy as he walked over to the massive Mace that had landed nearby. "They actually brought my weapon back! Although it's a bit late, still..."
"Damn it."
Xiaqiu's expression darkened. He hadn't expected the Fishmen to deliver Kaido's weapon. Without hesitation, he charged at Kaido. "Die!"
"Heh heh."
Facing Xiaqiu, Kaido seized the Mace with one hand and swung it around.
"Come on, let's continue."
The two plunged back into fierce combat, the battlefield slowly tilting in Kaido's favor once more.
On a certain island in the New World.
"I understand."
Heckler hung up the Transponder Snail and looked at the people around him. "Kaido and the captain have yet to determine a winner."
"That's good to hear."
Cecilia sighed in relief. "Although it's been a long time, being able to hold out this long proves that he has the capability to fight Kaido."
Even though they hoped for Xiaqiu's victory, they believed that Xiaqiu was not currently Kaido's match.
However, the longer he held on, the more it indicated that the gap in strength between the two was not as significant. In the ongoing battle, Kaido still had the upper hand, but the outcome remained uncertain.
"Let's wait here for now."
Heckler said, "Mr. Dragon has prepared a base for us. Next, we will rest and recuperate while we wait for the battle's conclusion."
"Exactly, we do need some rest."
Ace stood up and gazed into the distance. "If the captain really loses the duel, let Christmas scout for information on Kaido. If he is seriously injured, then we will immediately attack the Beast Pirates."
"Count me in."
Roa held his long knife from a distance.
"And I will join you. Together, we will strike."
Sabo walked back from afar and said, "We will crush the Beast Pirates together."
The others agreed with this decision. If Xiaqiu truly fell to Kaido and Kaido was severely injured, it would be the best opportunity for the Zombies to attack.
Since the Beast Pirates had proactively left Wano Country to engage, the fleet they brought was only a fraction of their strength. With half of it already destroyed, now was the perfect time to strike.
After killing Ken and Queen, the remaining forces of the Beast Pirates would likely be suppressed by the generals of Wano Country.
This was the best moment to annihilate the Beast Pirates.
Meanwhile, in the distance, Dragon stood in the forest with a troubled expression after finishing his conversation with Sabo.
"I never expected the president of Baroque Works could hold out for so long," Kera said softly beside him.
"Indeed," Dragon nodded and continued, "and they plan to avenge Mr. Xia."
"What should we do then?"
Kera looked at Dragon and said, "If that's the case, even if Mr. Xia is dead, we won't be able to recruit the remaining members into the Revolutionary Army."
"Then let's assist in defeating the Beast Pirates."
Dragon said, "Our initial goal was to help Wano Country open its borders, so let's focus on achieving that. It seems more attainable now."
Kera nodded, "I understand."
"I'll take my leave now. Notify me if anything comes up."
Dragon planted his feet on the ground, slightly bent his legs, and then propelled himself into the air.
Kera returned to the crowd, where Ace asked, "Has Mr. Dragon left?"
"Yes."
Kera replied, "He has already stayed long enough; he has other matters to attend to."
"Yes, thank you very much to Mr. Dragon," Ace said with a smile. Without Dragon's help, they would likely be dead by now.
Next, they just needed to wait for the president and Kaido to settle their duel.

In Alabasta, inside the palace.
King Cobra stood by the window, gazing at the bright starry sky, his expression filled with sorrow as he recalled the Bounty Notice.
Vivi bore the burden for Alabasta, after all, this matter was not solely his responsibility; the entire leadership of the Alabasta Kingdom was actively collaborating with Baroque Works.
The thought of the dangers Vivi might face next made Cobra's heart ache.
"Your Majesty."
Ikaram's voice came from behind him. "Everything is ready. Commodore Tina is waiting in Ailuma City. We will depart tomorrow afternoon."
"Very well."
Cobra nodded and said, "Tomorrow morning, we will head to the port to meet Commodore Tina and set off for the World Government."
