Chapter One Hundred Eleven: Journey to the Rainy District
"Is that turtle looking down on me?"
Xiaqiu walked through the desert, glancing at the bored turtle beside him, feeling as if it was mocking him.
He wanted to eat it, but that thought quickly faded away.
It was too hot.
Xiaqiu had arrived in the desert, following Nico Robin towards Rainy City.
It had been seven months since Nico Robin returned to Baroque Works, and now it was November.
During these seven months, Nico Robin had organized Baroque Works meticulously. Among all the Senior Agents, five out of six ranked third to fifth were recruited by her. Originally there were three, but one was eliminated due to lack of strength, and another was killed during a mission, replaced by a newcomer.
Feng Kelei became the new r after killing the original r in the Spade Pirates and had a good relationship with Nico Robin.
The only difference was with r1 and iss Dual Hands; over two years, while Nico Robin had left for a time and others had changed ranks, they remained unchanged.

Xiaqiu was currently following Nico Robin as she led them toward the Rainy District, hoping to find an opportunity to kill Crocodile. Even if they couldn't, it would at least help them familiarize themselves with the situation.
"Qiu, we're almost there. Can you still hold on?"
Nico Robin looked at Xiaqiu with concern.
"I can."
Xiaqiu nodded. It was now November, and the weather wasn't as hot; it was early morning, and they had set out before dawn.
The distance wasn't too far. Xiaqiu had come ashore from the riverbank and was now heading sideways toward the Rainy District.
Xiaqiu felt a bit warm and somewhat fatigued, but she could still push herself to walk twice or even three times the distance.
"Bingqi, stop."
Nico Robin suddenly called out, jumping off the back of the turtle. "Let's have some water."
"Okay."
Xiaqiu hurried over and saw a cart being pulled behind Bingqi, which held a large water barrel.
Bingqi had strong carrying capacity; he could transport a cart comparable to his own size across the desert.
"Have some water."
Nico Robin opened the spout of the water barrel, and water flowed out. Xiaqiu immediately leaned in and began drinking deeply.
Refreshing.
Xiaqiu took a sip and shook his head in satisfaction.
"Let's go."
Nico Robin turned off the faucet, jumped onto the Tortoise Shell, and continued walking toward the distance.
Not long after, a city appeared ahead, standing out prominently in the desert.
"That is Dream City Rainland, belonging exclusively to Crocodile."
This city was quite unique; its security was exceptionally good. With Crocodile around, no one dared to act recklessly here.
Moreover, there was precipitation and Fresh Water lakes, making drinking water resources abundant.
There were also casinos, and many people enjoyed coming here to try their luck.
It was like Las Vegas, located near the desert.
More importantly, Crocodile was here, the hero of Alabasta, a figure admired by all.

The people around paid no attention to Xiaqiu's presence; to them, as long as Crocodile was here, there would be no danger.

Xiaqiu moved forward, following Nico Robin to the vicinity of Rain Banquet Casino.
Rain Banquet Casino was situated in the middle of the lake, close to the edge, while behind it loomed a massive structure in the water.
This was Crocodile's stronghold; everyone knew this was the casino he controlled, fair and just.
The entire lake was under Crocodile's control.
"Qiu, I'm going to meet Crocodile. You can drink some water, but try not to go into the water, and definitely don't attempt to kill those Banana Crocodiles."
Nico Robin looked at Xiaqiu with a serious expression and said, "If you anger Crocodile, we're all done for."
"Understood, understood."
Xiaqiu nodded quickly; he certainly knew Crocodile's strength, especially on land. Even if he unleashed all his power underwater, he would still be no match.
"I'll go then."
Nico Robin patted Xiaqiu and walked into the casino.
"Of course, I have to dive in."
Xiaqiu leaped into the lake, swimming off into the distance.

"I heard you brought that crocodile?"
In the office, Crocodile looked at Nico Robin, asking curiously.
"Yes, I want to see if he can cross the desert. Maybe I can have him follow me later," Nico Robin replied with a smile.
"That crocodile of yours is the largest one I know of, even bigger than Banana Crocodile. I'm quite interested in him. I wonder if you'd be willing to let him go?" Crocodile squinted at Nico Robin as he asked.
Nico Robin's heart skipped a beat, but she maintained her composure and said, "If Lord R wants him, of course."
"Forget it; he's too heavy."
Crocodile waved his hand. He liked that crocodile but didn't feel the need to possess it. He just wanted to gauge Nico Robin's attitude. With a smile, he added, "But we could bring him here to mate with a few female crocodiles and see if we can breed stronger ones."
"Alright."
Nico Robin was slightly taken aback but nodded in agreement, deciding not to bring Xiaqiu back again.
Autumn has wisdom; while its aesthetic may not change, it certainly despises creatures devoid of intelligence.
Having him marry a female crocodile would likely lead to his demise before he would ever agree to it.
"Crocodile said, 'Alright, there's one more thing to do.'
Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly furrowed his brow and looked into the distance. 'What is that?'
Nico Robin immediately turned her head to the left, where a row of windows revealed a massive creature outside. One of its eyes was staring into the room.
'Did he go into the water?' Nico Robin gasped, somewhat blaming Qiu for not listening to her.
'Is that him? He really is huge.'
Crocodile watched the scene outside with great interest, his expression curious.
'That's him.'
Nico Robin quickly added, 'I’m sorry, President. I told him to stay on land, but he might have been thirsty, so he came down for a drink. Please don’t blame him.'
'It's fine.'
Upon hearing Nico Robin's words, Crocodile waved his hand dismissively. 'He’s a crocodile; of course, he likes water. How could he possibly stay up there quietly? Besides, it’s normal for him to cross the entire desert and go underwater. He looks quite docile; not bad at all.'
'Thank you, President.'
Nico Robin sighed in relief, fearing that Crocodile would take out his frustration on Qiu. But it seemed that his fondness for the crocodile exceeded her expectations.
At that moment, Crocodile gazed at the enormous figure with undeniable fondness in his eyes.
Boom.
Xiaqiu slowly moved away from the window and swam off into the distance.
Crocodile withdrew his gaze and said, 'Let’s continue. There’s a task here that requires your personal attention. I need you to...'"
Crocodile was in the middle of telling something, but it was not finished when Nico Robin turned and ran.
"What’s wrong?"
Crocodile paused for a moment, turned around, and the next second, he saw a massive crocodile crashing into the window.
Boom.
The wall collapsed, the window shattered, and water from the lake surged in as a giant mouth filled with sharp teeth lunged at Crocodile.
