Chapter Ninety-Two: The Fate of the Traitor
Xiaqiu killed a Bounty Hunter and opened his mouth, yet he had no desire to eat. His stomach was filled with a sense of fullness, leaving him unable to consume another person.
Nearly fifty Billionaires lay dead, with him having devoured the majority of over thirty of their bodies, weighing less than four tons in total.
Among the remaining dozen or so, some were killed by him, while others vanished into the ocean.
However, Xiaqiu was not satisfied. Feng Kelei, Galdino, and his partner had all escaped from this place.
Galdino and his partner left early, while Feng Kelei disappeared into the distance under the cover of other Bounty Hunters.
Xiaqiu was puzzled as to why these Bounty Hunters would sacrifice their lives to help Feng Kelei. There was only profit and betrayal among them; such actions seemed impossible.
Of course, some Bounty Hunters fled midway but were caught and killed by Xiaqiu.
Let them run if they wish.
With so many Billionaires providing Enhanced Energy, they were superior to Millionaires. Individually, their strength was not inferior to that of Fish Soldiers.
The thirty or so Billionaires combined provided Enhanced Energy that rivaled Arlong's, even allowing for an additional five or six Fishmen.
His power grew stronger once again.
Before consuming Major Yuchimura, he already surpassed him in strength. After devouring him, he arrived at the Grand Line, attacking three Pirate Crews along with nearly sixty Bounty Hunters in total.
His strength had significantly increased, and his combat ability underwater surpassed that of a Major General.
However, facing a Vice Admiral without Devil Fruit abilities, he felt uncertain.
The reason was that the physical prowess of a Vice Admiral had reached a certain level. While their strength would diminish underwater, their power, reaction time, and combat skills were not inferior to his own.
Moreover, his large size hindered his mobility compared to the opponent, becoming a limitation.
More importantly, most Vice Admirals possessed Haki, with many having Armament Haki. Their bodies were harder than rock, making them formidable opponents. For swordsmanship experts among the Vice Admirals, cutting through iron would be no challenge.
Even if their power diminished underwater, with Armament Haki attached, they could easily break through his defenses.
Haki transformed the user's capabilities; for those skilled with swords, relying solely on enhanced physical defense would be difficult. To defeat a Vice Admiral, one would need to either accumulate strength over a long period to make their body harder than diamond or master Armament Haki to reinforce their defenses.
Xiaqiu was unsure how to generate or control Armament Haki. However, since it could be cultivated and trained over time, he wondered if consuming someone with Armament Haki could lead to its acquisition.
Of course, it was too early to consider such matters; the time had not yet come.
Xiaqiu had other tasks at hand. He had accumulated enough strength and was ready to proceed with the second phase of his plan.
Thus, Xiaqiu returned near Whiskey Peak once more, quietly waiting there.
Two hours later, at the Rain Banquet Casino in the Rainy District, Crocodile placed the receiver on the Transponder Snail, his expression troubled.
"What’s wrong? What happened?" Nico Robin asked curiously, standing nearby.
Crocodile glanced at Nico Robin and replied, "It's a call from R."
"Feng?"
Nico Robin raised an eyebrow, looking at Crocodile. "Did he find R5 and Valentine's Day?"
"Of course not."
Crocodile snorted coldly. "He told me something else."
"What is it?" Nico Robin asked with interest.
Crocodile explained, "He didn't split up with R4 to search for R5 and Valentine's Day. Instead, he stayed with R4 the whole time. However, along the way, they encountered an attack from Black Fish, which sank several of their ships. They could have survived, but during the final battle, R4 and Christmas escaped together while R stayed behind to save his subordinates. The Vessel was destroyed, and R lost hope. In the end, his men sacrificed their lives to let him escape. He just found the Transponder Snail to report this information to me."
"So R4 betrayed R and even fabricated lies?" Nico Robin asked in surprise.
Crocodile nodded. "According to R, that's how it is, but we can't rule out..."
"I trust Feng more," Nico Robin said softly.
Crocodile huffed. "The truth of the matter still needs investigation. You are in charge of this; whoever lied should be dealt with."
"Alright." Nico Robin nodded.
Crocodile continued, "Additionally, according to R, that Black Fish attacked them after they left Whiskey Hill Town. That Black Fish possesses the strength of a creature of its size and can easily sink a vessel. I suspect that the disappearance of R5 and Valentine's Day is also related to the Black Fish. If that Black Fish has been roaming those waters attacking passing vessels, Whiskey Hill Town will be rendered useless. It still has some value for now, so you need to take care of it; at the very least, drive that fish away."
"Understood, I'll handle it."
Nico Robin agreed and turned to leave.
...
Three days later, on an island above the ocean, the island was not large and was shaded by a massive umbrella, beneath which were layers of buildings.
In the center of one building, there was a huge swimming pool, and beside the pool stood a group of people who appeared tense.
"I never expected there would be such a pleasant place in the Grand Line."
Under the umbrella, at a table sat a woman wearing a sun hat, her long legs crossed as she held a cup of coffee, sipping it leisurely.
"Isaa11sunday, what are you doing here?" Galdino asked the woman with an anxious expression.
Christmas stood not far from him, watching warily.
Nico Robin smiled and said, "I'm here to kill you."
"Kill me? Why?" Galdino's heart raced as he asked urgently.
"You're asking a question you already know the answer to," Nico Robin said, setting her coffee cup down and looking at Galdino. "You and R split up, didn't you?"
"That's right. After we left Whiskey Hill Town, we... we went our separate ways," Galdino replied, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he spoke nervously.
"Is that so?"
A faint smile played on Nico Robin's lips. "But why is it that you were together with R until you encountered that Black Fish?"
"R is still alive? No, that's impossible." Galdino's expression changed in shock at Nico Robin's words.
Nico Robin's smile widened. "It seems R's words were true."
Galdino's instinctive denial only confirmed that he was lying, making it highly likely that R was indeed alive.
"No, no, that's not it."
Galdino tried to refute her, but it was too late.
Nico Robin leaned back slightly in her chair, looking at him. "So, you abandoned R and so many members of Baroque Works."
"I... I would have died if I stayed there, so leaving was the best choice. Besides, I don't think I have any obligation to save them, do I?" Galdino said, his face pale.
"You are under no such obligation," Nico Robin replied with a smile. "But you caused Baroque Works significant losses—at least fifty people dead, all Billionaires. That would be one thing, but more importantly, you deceived R. Therefore, you must be killed."
"That has nothing to do with me; it's all his idea." Christmas shouted immediately upon hearing R, trying to distance herself from the situation.
"You didn't stop me back then."
Galdino glared at Christmas and said, "Do you really think she will let us go?"
Nico Robin nodded. "I certainly won't let her off."
"What do we do now?" Christmas asked, panic evident in her voice.
"Kill her and get out of here."
Galdino turned to Nico Robin, his hands emanating streams of Wax Liquid. "She's just one person; we have enough people to take her down."
"Alright."
Christmas thought for a moment and realized this was the only way. Suddenly, her hands and feet extended long claws as she bent down, trying to dig into the ground.
But in the next moment, four arms sprouted from her own arms and legs, gripping them tightly and twisting them backward.
With a thud, Christmas lost her balance and fell to the ground, her hands pinned behind her back, unable to move.
"Hmm?"
Galdino's expression changed; this was the first time he had witnessed the abilities of Issa11sunday.
Growing hands on someone else? This ability is of no use to me.
Galdino sneered, but in that instant, his body stiffened as a knife pierced his back, penetrating through his body.
"This..."
Galdino looked down at the blade protruding from his chest, blood spilling from his mouth. He turned his head to look behind him, his eyes narrowing slightly. "It’s you."
"Hehehe, did you not expect this?"
Standing not far from Galdino was his subordinate, now transformed into Feng Kelei.
"You betrayed us, causing so many deaths. Therefore, I must kill you to avenge them," Feng Kelei said angrily, slowly drawing out the long knife.
Thud.
As the knife was withdrawn from his body, Galdino collapsed to the ground, a hint of unwillingness in his gaze.
"To those sweethearts who died in the ocean, I... I have avenged you."
Seeing Galdino's death, Feng Kelei could no longer hold back. He raised a hand to cover his face, biting his lip as tears flowed uncontrollably.
"My work is done. You handle the rest; I will take my leave."
Nico Robin left those words behind as she walked into the distance.
"issa11sunday, thank you for avenging me. I will always remember your kindness," Feng Kelei shouted, watching Nico Robin's silhouette fade away.
"I was just completing a mission."
Nico Robin waved her hand and exited the house, making her way to the shore. She jumped onto a massive turtle, settling into the seat atop it, and began her journey into the distance.
"Next, it's time to head to Whiskey Hill Town and clear out the dangerous creatures in that sea area."
