Chapter Sixty: Remembrance
In the Orange Grove of Nami's home in Cocoa West Village.
Ba stood on the ground, wielding the Six Blades, the long sword flashing as it left behind a series of afterimages.
"Too light."
Ba looked at his Katana and said to Nami in front of him.
"Light? This is already the heaviest sword that can be forged, weighing ten kilograms," Nami replied, hands on her hips.
Ba scoffed and said, "My previous sword weighed three hundred kilograms; this one is too light."
"Three hundred kilograms? Without special materials, it's impossible to forge such a heavy sword," Nami remarked. "I remember you fought that Black Fish twice without carrying a sword, right?"
"The sword was too heavy; I couldn't carry it underwater," Ba answered.
Nami immediately responded, "So wouldn’t it be better to switch to a lighter sword?"
Ba scratched his head and said, "That would make it too light, and its power would be significantly reduced."
"But the speed would increase."
Nami walked over to him and said, "It would be harder for enemies to block your attacks, and as long as the sword is sharp enough, any strike will cause damage."
"You're right," Eight said, his eyes lighting up.
Nami chimed in, "This Six Blades costs two hundred thousand each, but with the discount for six, it's only a million. It's not a famous sword, but it's incredibly sharp. Eight, you should be satisfied with this, right?"
For fifty thousand, one could only buy a dull blade; for two hundred thousand, one could get a decent quality sharp sword.
Eight smiled and replied, "Thank you, Nami. I'm very satisfied."
"This Six Blades cost me a million; it's from the money I've saved over the years," Nami coughed lightly and added.
Over the past three years, Nami had saved twenty million Berries, averaging about seven million Berries a year.
Now that Arlong was gone, Nami naturally intended to use this money for herself.
Eight expressed his gratitude, saying, "You've really spent a lot on me, Nami."
"Since you know that, when do you plan to leave?" Nami asked as she looked at Eight.
Eight sheathed the sword and replied, "I don't plan to leave just yet."
"Not planning to leave?"
Nami said irritably, "Didn't you say that once you got the sword, you'd leave?"
Nonsense replied, "What I meant was that after I got the sword, I would kill that Black Fish and then leave."
"You..."
Nami was fuming as she looked at him and asked, "Then you have to go out to sea and leave this place to find that fish, right?"
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
With a look of disbelief, Ace replied to Nami, "If I can't beat it, how would I dare go into the sea?"
"I..."
Nami clenched her fists in anger as she glared at Nonsense. "If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it for you. You wasted a hundred thousand on me."
"A hundred thousand, huh?"
Ace chuckled and said, "Don't worry, I'll pay you back."
Nami stared at Ace and said, "Pay me back? With what? For the past three months, you've eaten our food and stayed with us without a single penny to your name. How are you going to pay us?"
Nonsense chimed in, "Don't worry, the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew still has money."
"You mean, aside from the money taken by the Navy, the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew still has money?" Nami's eyes lit up.
"That's right," Ace grinned. "I know a place where the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew's treasure is hidden. There are at least two hundred million Berries inside."
"Two hundred million?"
Upon hearing that number, Nami's eyes sparkled with excitement. After a moment of thought, she realized it was indeed possible.
Arlong had come to Zoumeida Island and collected over two hundred fifty million Berries in one go, which included Cocoa West Village and Rear Sand Town.
Adding in the offerings from over a dozen villages each month, the accumulated amount was not insignificant.
Although some had been taken by the Navy, there was surely some money left; two hundred million Berries was considered a small sum.
Nami anxiously asked, "Where is the money?"
Arlong glanced at her and replied, "I can't tell you right now."
Nami stared at him for a moment before he continued, "If I tell you now, what will you do if you chase me away? I'll let you know when I kill that Black Fish and leave."
"That’s quite clever."
Upon hearing this, Nami regarded him with newfound respect and then asked, "But what if you can never kill it? And what if it grows so large that it leaves the sea?"
More importantly, Nami didn't want Arlong to kill that sea creature, even if he had the ability to do so.
Arlong scratched his head and said, "At the latest, in five years. If I can't kill it by then, I'll give you the money and leave."
"Five years?"
Nami calculated carefully; two hundred million over five years meant an average of forty million a year. Even if she went out to steal, she wouldn't be able to gather that much.
He would prevent him from killing the sea fish anyway, and in five years, this money would be his.
What he had to give in return was merely five years of accommodation.
It was truly a profitable deal.
"Well, you can stay here for now, but you need to be careful not to leave Orange Grove. Just rest in the Shed over there to avoid being discovered," Nami pointed to the Shed in the distance, which was built for Ace.
"Got it."
Ace nodded in agreement, taking the knife Nami handed him and began practicing there.
It seemed that he would be staying here for the foreseeable future.
He wondered if he could keep this secret from the villagers for that long.
Nami then turned to another person sitting at the table and said, "Marcel, thank you. Thanks to your help in contacting an excellent blacksmith to forge the knife and even delivering it personally."
Marcel was responsible for everything regarding the Six Blades, from forging the knife to delivery.
"No problem."
Marcel smiled and said, "I can also spar with Ace. In two years, I've improved quite a bit and want to see how my skills measure up."
Now at twenty years old, Marcel had become the captain of a Merchant Ship and had grown more robust.
"Eight, let's fight."
Marcel stood up, holding his Broad Sword, and walked towards Eight.
In the Orange Grove of Nami's home in Cocoa West Village.
Eight wielded his Six Blades, swinging them on the ground, leaving behind a series of afterimages as the long blades flashed.
"Too light."
Eight looked at his Katana and said to Nami in front of him.
"Light? This is already the heaviest sword that can be forged, you know. It weighs ten kilograms," Nami replied, standing before him with annoyance.
Eight snorted and said, "My previous sword weighed three hundred kilograms. This one is too light."
"Three hundred kilograms? Without special materials, it's impossible to forge a sword that heavy," Nami retorted. "I remember you fought that Black Fish twice without carrying a sword, right?"

"You're right," Eight replied, his eyes lighting up.
Nami continued, "This Six Blades set costs two hundred thousand each, but with a discount for all six, it's only one million. Although it's not a famous sword, it's incredibly sharp. You should be satisfied with that, right?"
For fifty thousand, one could only buy a dull blade. Two hundred thousand could get a fairly decent sharp sword.
Eight smiled and said, "Thank you, Nami. I'm very satisfied."

In the past three years, Nami had saved twenty million Berries, averaging about seven million Berries a year.
Now that Arlong was gone, Nami naturally intended to use this money for herself.
Eight expressed his gratitude, saying, "You really shouldn't have spent so much, Nami."
"Since you know that, when do you plan to leave?" Nami asked as she looked at Eight.
He sheathed the sword and replied, "I don't plan to leave just yet."
"Not planning to leave?"
Nami said irritably, "Didn't you say that once you got the sword, you would leave?"
"My plan is simple. After you bring me a knife, I'll kill that Black Fish and then leave."
"You..."
Nami was furious, looking at him and asking, "But you have to go into the sea to find that fish, right?"
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
Bai looked at Nami as if she were an idiot and said, "If I can't beat it, how would I dare to go into the sea?"
"I..."
Nami clenched her fists in anger, glaring at Nonsense. "If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it for you. You've wasted a million of my berries."

"You mean, aside from the money taken by the Navy, the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew still has funds?" Nami's eyes lit up.
Bai smiled and said, "That's right. I know a place where the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew's Treasure is hidden. There are at least two hundred million Berries inside."
"Two hundred million?"
Nami's eyes sparkled at the mention of that number. After a moment of thought, she realized it was indeed possible.
Arlong had come to Zoumeida Island and had taken over two hundred fifty million Berries in one go, which included Cocoa West Village and Rear Sand Town.
Adding in the offerings from over a dozen villages each month, the accumulated amount was not insignificant.
Although some had been taken by the Navy, there was surely some money left. Two hundred million Berries was actually a modest estimate.
Nami anxiously asked, "Where is the money?"
Arlong glanced at her and replied, "I can't tell you right now."

She wondered if he could keep it a secret from the villagers for that long.
Nami then turned to the other side and asked, "Marcel, thank you. It's all thanks to you for helping contact an excellent blacksmith to forge the knife and even delivering it personally."
The Six Blades, from forging to delivery, were all handled by Marcel.
"No problem."
Marcel smiled and said, "I can also learn from Eight. In two years, I've improved quite a bit myself and want to see how my skills measure up."
Now, Marcel was twenty years old and had become the captain of a Merchant Ship, his physique more robust than ever.
"Eight, let's fight."
Marcel stood up, brandishing his Broad Sword, and walked towards Eight.
The two quickly began to spar.
"Sister, what are you looking at?"
Nami noticed Nokigao still gazing in the direction Marcel had left and asked with a smile.
"Nothing," Nokigao replied, retracting her gaze.
"You saw it too; Eight doesn't plan to leave. But he can only stay for five years at most, and then we can get the two hundred million Berries left by the Evil Dragon Pirate Crew," Nami said with a grin.
"That's fine; let him stay here for now."
Nokigao shrugged and then asked, "Marcel seems to have come alone this time, right? When is he leaving?"
"He wants to stay and spar with Eight for a while," Nami yawned and added, "So I need to go to the inn in the village this afternoon to book him a room."
Nokigao smiled and said, "Then I'll go cook; Mr. Marcel brought a lot of seafood."
"I'll help."
Nami followed Nokigao into the house, and the two of them busied themselves in the kitchen.
Nokigao suddenly asked, "After dinner, should we take Mr. Marcel for a stroll around the island?"
"You go ahead, sister," Nami replied. "I still need to find a Tattoo Artist after I finish eating."
On Nami's left arm, the tattoo was no longer the emblem of the Pirate Crew. Instead, it had transformed into the shape of a windmill, representing Aken's windmill on his head. He had always loved windmills as a child and had kept one pinned to his hat.
Above the windmill, a vine extended, ending in an orange, symbolizing Belmer's Orange Grove.
Nokigao curiously asked, "Didn't you already finish your tattoo?"
Nami smiled and said, "I just want to get a black star tattooed on my right arm."
"Why?" Nokigao asked, puzzled.
Nami chuckled softly and reminisced, "It's just to thank and commemorate a friend I can never communicate with."
...
In the ocean, a half-eaten Blue Whale carcass slowly sank to the seabed. Meanwhile, on the Surface of the Sea, a massive shadow floated there. With a roar, a huge column of water shot up from its back, reaching over ten meters high.
Beside him, a Manatee looked on in surprise at the shadow. What was going on?
How could Big Brother spray water?
