I arranged to meet Lin Yifeng at a café. 0

We sat in a dim corner, silent and facing each other. 0

Lin Yifeng seemed a bit surprised. "Bingxin, you... you really want to see me?" 0

I looked at him with a blank expression. 0

"Bingxin, over the years, I... I've missed you," Lin Yifeng said. "I've regretted what happened back then." 0

"Regretted?" 0

"Yes," Lin Yifeng sighed. "If I had known it would turn out like this, I definitely wouldn't have..." 0

"Enough," I interrupted him. "I don't have time for your nonsense." 0

"Ah?" Lin Yifeng was taken aback. "Oh, um, how have you been?" 0

I stared at him in silence. 0

Lin Yifeng shifted uncomfortably under my gaze. "Bingxin, why are you looking at me like that?" 0

"You know about Duan Wei's plan, right?" I cut straight to the point. 0

Lin Yifeng's face turned pale instantly. "What... what are you talking about?" 0

"Stop pretending," I said. "I already know everything." 0

"Bingxin..." Lin Yifeng pleaded, "Please, don't force me." 0

"Lin Yifeng," I said calmly, "If I don't force you, do you think Duan Wei will let you off the hook?" 0

Lin Yifeng's expression changed dramatically. 0

I raised my hand, letting my bracelet clink against the table with a crisp sound. 0

"Think carefully before you speak." 0

A flicker of fear crossed Lin Yifeng's eyes. 0

I knew my threat was working. 0

"Bingxin, I..." 0

"I'll give you five seconds," I said. "Five, four..." 0

"I said!" 0
I revealed a satisfied smile. "So, what exactly does Duan Wei want?" 0
Lin Yifeng sighed. "He... he wants me to seduce you into cheating, then marry you and inherit your fortune..." 0
"Heh." I let out a cold laugh. "Is it really that Jian Yi?" 0
"Bingxin..." Lin Yifeng wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Isn't that enough?" 0
"Lin Yifeng." I looked at him. "Do you remember how you dumped me back then to be with a rich woman?" 0
"I..." 0
"You were willing to betray our relationship for money back then; you can do it again now." 0
"Bingxin, I..." 0
"How much did Duan Wei offer you for you to serve him like this?" 0
"Bingxin..." 0
"I'll ask you one more time." I said coldly, "What exactly does Duan Wei want?" 0
Lin Yifeng lowered his head and fell silent. 0
I narrowed my eyes, scrutinizing him. 0
"Bingxin..." Lin Yifeng finally spoke up. 0
I looked at him. "Speak." 0
"I... I've told you everything." 0
"He wants me to seduce you into cheating and rekindle your old flame," Lin Yifeng said softly. "If he marries you, he can take half of Duan Wei's fortune. Then, he’ll find a way to kill you and claim your entire inheritance." 0
"Kill me?" My heart sank suddenly. 0
"Yes." Lin Yifeng nodded. "Duan Wei said that even if we are legally married, as long as he divorces you before your death, he will still be the primary heir after you die." 0
"Then..." I frowned. "What about you? What do you gain from this?" 0
"Me?" Lin Yifeng forced a bitter smile. "Duan Wei promised that once everything is done, he would send me away to an overseas casino..." 0
"A casino?" 0

"Right," Lin Yifeng said. "Duan Wei told me that when we get there, he'll give me a card and let me play as much as I want. Until I lose everything." 0

"Heh," I scoffed. "And then what happens when you lose everything?" 0

"When I lose everything..." Lin Yifeng lowered his head. "He'll send me back." 0

"And what's the point of that?" 0

"Of course it serves a purpose," Lin Yifeng replied. "Duan Wei will find a way to wipe out my gambling debts, and the money in my pocket will become his." 0

"And then?" 0
