Shan's body began to tremble violently, his limbs seemingly controlled by an invisible force, twitching rigidly as if something was tearing him apart from the inside. The black Worm within him was growing wildly, as if it intended to devour all his flesh and soul. Shan's eyes rolled back, and he let out a pained, helpless groan before suddenly opening his mouth wide and violently vomiting a mass of thick blood. 0

The blood was a vivid crimson, spraying out in bursts with each cough, mixed with tiny black particles that seemed to be the larvae of the Worm rapidly reproducing within him, only to be expelled. Shan's complexion grew even paler, and he looked on the verge of collapse; yet the corners of his mouth twitched as if forced into a bizarre and twisted smile. 0

Ian stood nearby, his eyes gleaming with fervor, completely immersed in this bloody ritual. He laughed maniacally, his voice filled with frenzied excitement: "The Black Rope God is connecting with him! Look, he is about to become the chosen warrior!" 0

His laughter echoed through the compartment, filled with madness and cruelty. To him, Shan's pain and transformation seemed like an exhilarating spectacle, a glory of connecting with the Black Rope God. He completely ignored Shan's suffering, reveling in this horrific process. 0

Jelo inadvertently turned to look at Shan, his gaze colliding with the horrifying scene before him, instantly overwhelmed by a wave of intense nausea rising from his stomach. He saw Shan's body convulsing uncontrollably, blood pouring from his mouth mixed with that dreadful black substance. It appeared as if something was writhing beneath Shan's skin, undulating like tiny black worms stirring within him, breeding wildly. 0

The sight was nightmarishly terrifying; Jelo felt his stomach churn violently, breathing became difficult, and dizziness washed over him as he nearly retched up everything he had just eaten. His face turned pale, hands trembling uncontrollably as he struggled to grip his gun. The rising wave of nausea from deep within made it almost unbearable for him; instinctively, his body wanted to flee from this dreadful scene, but fear rooted him in place, paralyzed. 0

He felt on the brink of collapse, filled with despair and terror. The scene before him far exceeded what he could endure; he couldn't comprehend how a person could become like this or what this "connection" with the Black Rope God truly meant. Why was Ian so fervent about it? And why had Shan been driven to such an extent? 0

Ian's maniacal laughter reverberated across the battlefield, filled with madness and frenzy as if all the pain and fear were beyond reaching his soul. Suddenly, a bullet struck his chest; blood erupted from the wound, yet his laughter did not wane in the slightest. With the first bullet hitting him came several more in quick succession, tearing through his flesh and leaving ghastly wounds on his body. 0

However, Ian did not cease his laughter. His body trembled slightly from the intense pain, but that suffering seemed only to amplify his manic laughter—louder and more insane. He appeared completely oblivious to his injuries, still laughing as if all the pain of this battle had become irrelevant. His eyes sparkled with a mad light; there was an almost fearless insanity in his laughter. 0

Ultimately, Ian's body could no longer withstand the impact of the bullets; his knees buckled as he half-knelt on the ground, arms weakly hanging at his sides while blood flowed continuously from his wounds, staining his clothes red. Even so, his laughter persisted unabated; it grew even more frenzied and fearless in the face of death. 0

At that moment, Adu suddenly shouted loudly: "For the Black Rope God!" His voice brimmed with fervor as if this battle had completely stripped him of reason and plunged him fully into this mad faith. 0

Ian's laughter grew louder in response to Adu's shout; he suddenly reached for his chest and fumbled for the grenade hanging there. Ian's fingers trembled but never ceased their laughter; the light in his eyes became even more fervent. He gently pulled the pin from the grenade and then looked up at the white truck on the other side of the thicket with a crazed smile spreading across his face. 0

The corners of his mouth curled slightly upward, his eyes filled with a fervent desire for death. He knew he was approaching the end of his life, but to him, it was all worth it, for he would dedicate everything to the Black Rope God. His laughter echoed in the air, as if this mad battle was about to reach its climax with his sacrifice. 0

Ian knelt on the ground, blood continuously spilling from the corners of his mouth, yet his gaze still burned with a frenzied fire. He gritted his teeth against the excruciating pain and shouted with all his remaining strength, "Damn it! Morgan! Drive the car toward that fat sheep! Now!" 0

Morgan hesitated for a moment upon hearing Ian's command, but he quickly steeled himself and decided to follow Ian's instructions. His hands trembled as they gripped the steering wheel, his heart racing violently in his chest, filled with fear and determination. As that wild emotion surged within him, Morgan slammed down on the accelerator; the car let out a deep roar and surged forward, tires screeching against the ground. 0

Just then, Flash suddenly sat up straight in his seat, his movements stiff and unnatural, as if controlled by some bizarre force. Jelo looked at Flash in horror, noticing black, writhing shapes moving beneath his skin. Those things coursed through his veins like they were alive, scuttling around inside him. 0

Flash's eyes had rolled completely back into his head, leaving only empty whites visible. This terrifying sight sent a bone-chilling wave through Jelo, as if he were witnessing some non-human creature being resurrected. Flash suddenly emitted a low growl that resembled no human sound, then lunged forward violently like a beast directly at Morgan in the driver's seat. 0

Morgan had not anticipated this turn of events; he caught a glimpse of Flash's movement out of the corner of his eye and froze in terror in his seat, but it was too late to react. Flash's hands clamped down on Morgan's shoulders with such force that Morgan instantly lost control of the steering wheel. The car began to sway violently, losing balance as it skidded wildly down the road. 0

"Flash! What the hell are you doing!" Morgan shouted in panic, desperately trying to shake off Flash's frenzied assault. But Flash's strength was overwhelming; it felt as though he could tear Morgan's shoulders apart. The black writhing mass beneath Flash's skin became increasingly pronounced, as if it were trying to break free from his flesh. Flash's face contorted grotesquely as thick black liquid oozed from his mouth, carrying an eerie stench. 0

Morgan felt the pain in his shoulders intensifying; it felt as if Flash's grip might snap his arm. His mind was a whirlwind of chaos; his heart raced uncontrollably as fear and agony caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The car sped forward at a reckless pace, veering off its original path toward the edge of the nearby forest. 0

Jelo witnessed all of this unfold with despair and terror filling his heart. He watched helplessly as the vehicle threatened to go out of control, with Morgan pinned down by Flash. Everyone inside was engulfed in chaos and panic while that black writhing mass continued to surge beneath Flash’s skin, seemingly intent on dragging them all into an endless abyss of darkness and madness. 0
