Ye Xiaohan was momentarily stunned when she heard Gu Bei planned to bring his relative along to the meeting.

Gu Bei's parents were no longer alive, and this Aunt could almost be considered his closest relative. Although the Gu family had many relatives, Gu Bei had always been reluctant to get too close to anyone.

Having experienced much in her early years as a widow, Aunt Gu's character was more resilient than that of most women. Therefore, compared to delicate young ladies, she found herself more drawn to strong and independent women like Ye Xiaohan.
Afterward, she advised Gu Bei to treat Ye Xiaohan well and not let her down.
"You see? I have nothing to worry about," Gu Bei said with a smile as he returned after seeing Aunt Gu off.
Ye Xiaohan smiled and nodded, "It was a bit unexpected. I had prepared so many contingency plans, but none of them were needed!"
Gu Bei couldn't help but chuckle; it seemed that Ye Xiaohan felt a hint of regret?
With the approval of their parents, the bond between them grew even closer. Especially for Gu Bei, having been raised with the 'orders of his parents,' after meeting the family, he had completely begun to view Ye Xiaohan as his wife.

Having worked together for so long with Xia Zhanggui, they had built enough trust between them. Since Xia Zhanggui volunteered to take charge, Ye Xiaohan was more than happy to take a step back.
She just didn't expect that when Xia Zhanggui said he would handle it, he would go so far as to bring Princess Chang into the picture.

"What’s going on?" Ye Xiaohan asked, puzzled. The store was doing well, and outsiders dared not cause trouble; logically, everyone should be in high spirits.
As soon as they saw her, the crowd quickly gathered around, chattering away to explain the situation.
It turned out that just moments ago, a servant from Liu Manor had come by with subpar fabric intended for the Prime Minister's Residence.
"The Prime Minister's Residence?" Ye Xiaohan felt a wave of disgust wash over her. "The Liu Family is a prominent household, and now they’ve started engaging in shoddy business?"
Ye Xiaohan was well aware of the quality of fabric in their store. Each order went through several selection processes, and it was rare for any defective goods to be sent out.
Even if there were mistakes, she absolutely refused to believe that it was merely a coincidence that it ended up at the Liu Family!
Upon hearing Ye Xiaohan's remarks about the Liu Family, everyone gasped in shock. "Boss Ye, you can say that in front of us, but please don’t let anyone else hear! If word gets out, it won’t be a joke!"
Ye Xiaohan didn’t care whether the Liu Family would find out. There was no way she would compromise with them.
“Did the Liu Family send someone to propose any compensation demands?” With the Liu Family involved, it was impossible for Liu Susu, the troublemaker, not to be part of it. In fact, she was likely the mastermind behind it all!
Liu Susu was determined to deal with Ye Xiaohan. If she had orchestrated this incident on purpose, it would certainly not be easy to handle.
“This…” Xia Zhanggui said anxiously, “It’s the Liu Family. We looked down on them in our shop and deliberately used inferior goods. They left a warning that they wouldn’t let it go easily before walking out!”

In the Ready-to-Wear Store, there was only Xia Zhanggui as the boss. However, with Liu Susu’s numerous subordinates, finding out the details would be a piece of cake.
After learning about the situation, Gu Bei reached an agreement with Ye Xiaohan. He also felt that this was a trap set by Liu Susu. He didn’t know what methods she had used to swap the intact fabric sent from their shop for defective goods.
As long as the fabric indeed came from their store, the Liu Family would have a strong argument.
Suppressing his displeasure, Gu Bei decided to personally visit Liu Manor to resolve the matter before it escalated further, hoping to ease Ye Xiaohan’s burden.
Most importantly, Gu Bei didn’t want Ye Xiaohan to see Liu Susu again and get upset.
However, when Gu Bei arrived at Liu Manor and hadn’t even entered, he was stopped by Liu Susu. Instead of delivering an apology on behalf of Ye Xiaohan, he ended up being ridiculed by her.
“You’re already here to apologize for Ye Xiaohan before even getting married?” Liu Susu sneered. “Ye Xiaohan really knows how to manipulate men into being devoted to her. Too bad I’m not a man; I won’t fall for her tricks! This matter won’t just end like this; I demand a reasonable explanation from Ye Xiaohan!”
How could there possibly be an explanation that Liu Susu would accept? She was just deliberately making things difficult.
Gu Bei turned and walked away; there was nothing good to be gained from dealing with such a shrew. Since the Liu Family had chosen an extreme approach, he would play along.
Gu Bei was unwilling to provoke trouble, but he had never feared a fight!
He did not inform Ye Xiaohan about this matter, quietly preparing in the shadows, waiting for the Liu Manor's downfall.
However, after waiting for a long time, there was no sign of movement.
Eventually, the Liu Family came knocking again, but instead of causing a scene as he had imagined, they brought evidence that was favorable to Ye Xiaohan.
The Liu Family had uncovered the person who had mixed inferior products with genuine ones in an attempt to frame Ye Xiaohan; he was an associate from a rival shop in the capital. The Liu Family also found witnesses who had seen this associate in action, proving Ye Xiaohan's innocence.
"Boss Ye, we've clarified everything regarding this incident. It was someone else who framed your shop. The Liu Family has identified him and will leave him for you to deal with."
The servant from the Liu Family handed over the culprit to Ye Xiaohan, as if they had not previously made those threats.
"Thank you."
Ye Xiaohan's face was as dark as water, his smile devoid of warmth as he stared at the messenger from the Liu Family.
