Born a Nobleman

In the beginning of chaos, all things were born. The beasts revered the Qilin as their emperor, and the birds regarded the Phoenix as their king. Among the birds, the peacock was the most beautiful, dazzling and radiant, making the flowers blush and the clouds pale in comparison. However, it was proud and unruly, known as the Peacock King. 0

The Peacock King loved to wear white clothes and was as beautiful as jade. All gods and Buddhas wanted to befriend him, especially the Jade Emperor, who thought about him three hundred times a day. However, there was only one being who could play happily with Ming Wang, and that was Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. 0

One day, the Jade Emperor, Tathagata, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva wanted to play Mahjong but found themselves one player short. (Wait, was there Mahjong back then? Ancient Mahjong, really?) Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva remembered his friend, the Peacock King, who had been idle at home without any income. He thought of introducing him to these two bosses. With a mental connection across the land, the peacock rode on a five-colored Auspicious Cloud and gracefully arrived. 0

The Jade Emperor and Tathagata both had their own ulterior motives. The Jade Emperor wanted to win Tathagata's Seven Treasures Glazed Tree, while Tathagata wanted the Jade Emperor's Nine Dragon White Jade. After eight rounds, Tathagata signaled to the peacock to play a two-tube tile. However, due to his natural nearsightedness, the peacock mistakenly played a white tile instead. Tathagata lost badly and angrily slammed his ears to the ground, muttering that the peacock must have some connection with the Jade Emperor. Upon hearing this, the peacock became furious and flipped the table, shouting: "You bastard with big ears, let's fight!" 0

Tathagata and the peacock battled on Snowy Mountain. Being vain as always, the peacock never wore long underwear and ended up catching a cold. When he sneezed, Tathagata was unfortunately sucked into his stomach by the airflow. 0

The peacock found this disgusting and cursed: "Damn it! I didn't want to give birth to such an ugly son; get out of me now!" 0

Inside the peacock's belly, Tathagata wandered around and noticed that he could only exit through a rectum connected to a back door. So he elegantly walked out like he was on a red carpet from where the peacock relieved himself. But how could that be possible? Who was Tathagata? The leader of countless Buddhas and gods, a super boss! Therefore, he steeled himself and used a powerful tool to split open the peacock's back and jumped out. 0

Now it was a disaster; the peacock's blood turned Snowy Mountain red. He pointed at Tathagata and shouted curses while Tathagata retaliated with threats against his entire family, causing chaos that changed the colors of heaven and earth. 0

Seeing that things were going badly, the Jade Emperor quickly pulled Tathagata aside and said: "It's fine if you kill him, but don't forget he's the son of a Phoenix—a genuine second-generation official! This foolish child doesn't understand; just teach him a lesson and let it go." 0

Tathagata inwardly shouted: "I almost gave birth to him; treating him like nothing is too lenient!" 0

The Buddha cruelly cast the Peacock into the Demon Realm, a place filthy and chaotic, with air quality far below standard. The Peacock breathed in the malevolent energy and cultivated for 1500 years, leading the denizens of the Demon Realm to break the seal and engage in a fierce battle against the gods and Buddhas. 0

This war between gods, Buddhas, and demons lasted for a century, causing devastation across the three realms. The Jade Emperor, fearing for his throne, sought out Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and pretentiously said, "Dear one, this is serious. This situation originated with you. No matter what method you use, you must pacify Ming Wang. If you do not enter hell, who will?" 0

Ksitigarbha remained calm and composed, deep in contemplation. He sat on a lotus in tranquil waters, meditating for three days and nights before finally devising a "beauty trap." 0

The Peacock was proud and looked down on all the gods and Buddhas of the three realms, wishing only to befriend Ksitigarbha. He even joked that if Ksitigarbha were a woman, he would become her immortal partner. 0

In truth, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's true form before encountering Infinite Calamity was indeed that of a woman; she was a Brahmin woman named Light Eye. 0

Upon seeing Ksitigarbha appear as Light Eye, Ming Wang was so captivated by her beauty that he no longer cared about the war. He spent every day with Ksitigarbha, which caused discontent among his demon subordinates. 0

The right vanguard, Mighty Tiger King, wanted to kill Light Eye. Although he was stopped by the left vanguard, Black Wolf King, Mighty Tiger King's insults were deeply hurtful. Light Eye felt sorrowful; she wished to be with the Peacock but did not want to abandon her true form as a Buddha. In desperation, she dripped her divine blood onto the Peacock's chest to create a blood curse that sealed both the Peacock and the demons. 0

Ksitigarbha bled profusely; it is said that heaven and earth turned into an ocean. She fainted in the desolate human realm, her soul separating from her body and drifting away to an unknown destination. 0

Hundreds of years later, peace was restored across the land. On the other side of the mountains and seas lay Peacock Valley, where people claimed to be descendants of the divine race tasked with guarding the passage between the human realm and the demon realm. 0

Tang Zisu sprayed his milk tea onto his notebook screen in disbelief at this absurd story created by some foolish author. It completely shattered his 21st-century worldview as a handsome history major. 0

"Oh no, my little silver dragon!" Tang Zisu exclaimed as he wiped his computer screen with a tissue. To his dismay, the remaining half cup of milk tea flowed joyfully into his keyboard like a small river, causing him to panic. 0

Even more shocking events followed; his wet computer suddenly erupted with intense sparks before a swirling vortex appeared—deep green like a peacock's eye yet surrounded by golden light. Just like a bear jumping through a ring of fire, Tang Zisu was sucked in and then transported through time and space. 0

Such a dramatic life, such a dramatic journey through time! 0

The diligent Mo Mo has opened a new story. Lacking the ability to write long texts, I dig small pits one after another, planting potatoes and cabbages. This time, I’ve planted a Divine Horse? I’ve planted a big Red Flower. Romance, time travel, mythology, male to female transformations—are you shocked yet? What I want is the thrill of being struck by heavenly lightning.
