Unlike Nameless, who was filled with excitement, Yun Tianmo appeared much calmer. He recognized the voice of Ouyang Zixin, but it was not the time to relax. Although the whirlpools had stopped and showed signs of disappearing, he remained vigilant until they were completely gone.
“Yun Tianmo, is it you who came to find me?” Ouyang Zixin's voice echoed again, and there were fluctuations in her Mind, indicating emotional disturbance. It seemed that although she was in a coma, her consciousness was still awake.
“Little Woman, it’s me.” Yun Tianmo responded with a deep and magnetic voice, his sharp eyes scanning everything in her Mind. “Don’t resist my entry; be good and wake up quickly. We need to find a way to get you out for healing.”
“Healing?” Ouyang Zixin's voice was filled with confusion, as if she couldn't fully grasp what Yun Tianmo meant. “Are you saying I’m injured?”
Having been unconscious for a long time, Ouyang Zixin appeared bewildered. She seemed to have forgotten everything that happened before her coma and began to doubt Yun Tianmo's words. “Are you really Yun Tianmo? Or am I just imagining this…”
“Master, it’s Nameless. Can you sense Nameless?” Nameless felt anxious about being ignored by Ouyang Zixin and quickly spoke up to catch her attention, explaining how she had been injured.
After listening to everything Nameless said, Ouyang Zixin hesitated and replied, “Why does everyone say I’m injured when I can’t remember anything…”
Regarding the incident in the Underground Palace, where she was struck by the light from the Light Cauldron, Ouyang Zixin seemed to have no recollection at all. She felt that the world within her Mind was the real one, completely detached from her physical body.
“Trust me,” said Yun Tianmo.
These three simple words were filled with emotion. It seemed that they awakened certain memories in Ouyang Zixin—
On that day, someone told her: “You just need to trust me.”
On that day, someone held her close, making her believe in him.
That person was Yun Tianmo.
"I believe in you." Ouyang Zixin's voice lingered, echoing in her mind. After choosing to trust Yun Tianmo, mysterious energy and mental power began to coalesce within her mind, slowly transforming from a vague silhouette into a clear figure that appeared before Yun Tianmo.
Her black hair was tied up high in a ponytail, and her light purple attire fluttered without wind. With high brows and affectionate eyes, her crimson lips resembled Ouyang Zixin.
Yun Tianmo gazed at her, stepping closer until he stopped two paces away. At that moment, he could reach out and touch her face, could embrace her with just a stretch of his arm. Yet he refrained from doing so, fearing that if he reached out, she would vanish again, retreating to a corner invisible to him.
"Little Woman, I miss you."
The Ouyang Zixin before him smiled like a blooming flower, her eyes filled with deep affection as she looked at Yun Tianmo. She then extended her arm, her delicate hand gently resting on his face, caressing it as if reminiscing. She murmured, "I miss you too. You're right here, yet why does my longing feel like a flood?"
"Since you're here, why didn't you say so earlier? You made me think some bad person had invaded my mind." Ouyang Zixin's slightly petulant tone made Yun Tianmo's heart tremble; it was the first time she had playfully complained so earnestly.
This was Ouyang Zixin's mind; it was abnormal that she couldn't perceive his presence.
"What happened?" Yun Tianmo placed his hand over the jade hand Ouyang Zixin had on his face, furrowing his brow and staring intently at her, afraid she might suddenly disappear.
Ouyang Zixin tilted her head as if pondering how to respond. The confusion in her eyes was heart-wrenching. Her red lips parted slightly as she said, "I don't know. I only know I'm waiting for someone here—a person who will take me out. Yun Tianmo, is that person you?"
Is it him?
Yun Tianmo was uncertain, but since Ouyang Zixin said so, he had to take her out. Even if this was her mind, he had to help her awaken. He grasped her hand tightly and turned to pull her toward the exit. His mental power was nearly depleted; there was no time to waste—they had to leave quickly.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Ouyang Zixin did not follow him but stood firm in place, seemingly unwilling to leave.
Yun Tianmo turned back to look at her and gently coaxed, "Be good and come with me. You need to wake up quickly and use the Small Stone Box to get out of this Millennium Ruins; otherwise, your injuries..."
Without waiting for him to finish, Ouyang Zixin shook her head, pulled her hand back, and said, "What are you talking about? What Millennium Ruins? What Small Stone Box? I don't understand."
"Mo King... has she lost her memory?" Nameless was somewhat surprised. How could Ouyang Zixin remember nothing at all? Then how did she recognize Yun Tianmo?
At this moment, Ouyang Zixin's behavior left Yun Tianmo puzzled as well. Logically, she should have recognized his voice and revealed herself, so why did she have no impression of the Millennium Ruins or the Small Stone Box? He patiently continued, "Little Woman, you just need to trust me. I won't harm you."
"Yes, Yun Tianmo won't harm me, but are you really Yun Tianmo? Is the person I've been waiting for really you?" Ouyang Zixin still shook her head, her gaze towards Yun Tianmo wavering, seemingly caught between belief and doubt. "Someone told me to wait here for someone to pick me up, but they didn't tell me who that person is. I can't go with you..."
"Who told you?"
"I don't know, but there is a voice that keeps echoing in my ear..."
"Little Woman, don't you miss me? Then come with me. Don't wait any longer." Yun Tianmo had always suspected that Ouyang Zixin held too many deep secrets, and it seemed he was right. Unfortunately, now was not the time to explore these matters; he needed to hurry and take her out to heal.
"But..." Ouyang Zixin was still hesitant and unwilling to agree to leave.
"There’s no 'but.' Be obedient and come with me." Yun Tianmo firmly took her hand again and began to retreat along the path they had come from; he was barely able to hold on.
However, after just two steps, a sudden sharp pain shot through his hand, and a powerful force knocked him away. He looked at his hand in disbelief; a wound had appeared on it. How could a Spiritual Avatar sustain injuries? What exactly had Ouyang Zixin done? (To be continued.)
