Zhao Feiyu looked at the two with some suspicion, unsure of what they were up to. However, seeing Yun Tianying's expression, it seemed he was just as clueless. Since these people were blocking her path for her safety, she decided not to rush them and patiently waited to see what Ouyang Zixin intended to do.
After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Ouyang Zixin and Yun Tianmo seemed finally ready. The two exchanged a smile, as if the world around them had faded away, leaving only each other.
"Ahem." Zhao Feiyu couldn't bear to interrupt them, but if they continued like this, even the living would seem dead.
Hearing the cough, Ouyang Zixin snapped back to reality. She had merely been confirming with Yun Tianmo that everything was prepared, yet she found herself lost in thought again. Her ears turned slightly red as she shot a reproachful glance at Yun Tianmo, blaming him for always having such captivating eyes.
Yun Tianmo couldn't help but smile slightly, silently accepting her "blame." He then presented the Small Stone Box in front of her. Once Ouyang Zixin reached out to take it, he slowly withdrew his hand. However, he did not completely separate from the Small Stone Box; instead, he maintained a connection through Mysterious Energy, which outsiders could not perceive. His Black Qi had never been displayed in front of others; those who had seen it were mostly dead, ensuring that this secret would never be leaked.
As for Ouyang Zixin's transparent Mysterious Energy, there was no need to worry about it being noticed since sensing abilities had already failed here. The transparent energy was invisible to the naked eye, and manipulating the Small Stone Box required very little Mysterious Energy, so she was not concerned about being discovered at all.
"Southwest, right?" Ouyang Zixin casually asked before shifting her gaze away without waiting for Zhao Feiyu's response. She continued, "Still alive, huh? What a lucky one."
"Who is it?" Zhao Feiyu realized from Ouyang Zixin's demeanor that she had confirmed the specific location but was still curious about who it was.
"Who else could be so demanding even when asking for help?" Ouyang Zixin replied irritably. If it weren't for testing the Small Stone Box's functions, she wouldn't have been so kind-hearted as to consider rescuing someone in distress; that thought had never crossed her mind.
Zhao Feiyu thought for a moment and suddenly understood who Ouyang Zixin was referring to. She chuckled and pretended to cough lightly while straightening her posture dramatically. It actually conveyed quite a bit of meaning, making Ouyang Zixin burst into laughter without any sense of urgency about saving someone.
"Alright. Let's get started."
After laughing enough, Ouyang Zixin finally prepared to take action. As soon as she gave the command, the Small Stone Box noticeably began to heat up. Ouyang Zixin could clearly feel Yun Tianmo channeling Mysterious Energy into it. Without hesitation, she immediately gathered her own Mysterious Energy between the fingers of her other hand. When Yun Tianmo's Mysterious Energy gradually revealed colors on the Mirror Guardian, she sent her transparent Mysterious Energy over, merging it with Yun Tianmo's Black Qi on the mirror's surface.
Under the continuous input of the two streams of Mysterious Energy, the Mirror Guardian finally began to change. Gradually, clearer patterns appeared on the mirror's surface. At first, they were indistinct, but after a while, it became evident that the patterns resembled those of underground soil layers. As the image became clearer, a vaguely distorted figure could be seen squeezed in between the soil layers. Although no sound could be heard, it was apparent from the movement of his mouth that the cries for help could only be coming from him.
"Release." Ouyang Zixin softly commanded, retracting her five fingers and gently tapping two fingers at the location of the Xiaoshen pattern. This action seemed trivial but was actually quite challenging; she had to control the amount of Mysterious Energy precisely. If too much was used, it could damage the totem pattern; if too little, it would not have any controlling effect. Soon, fine beads of sweat began to form on her forehead.
Although Yun Tianying and Zhao Feiyu could see the Small Stone Box, they could not discern what was specifically displayed on the Mirror Guardian because Ouyang Zixin blocked most of it. However, both were clever enough to guess that the mechanism lay within this Small Stone Box. They felt a mix of surprise and envy; fortunately, one was Yun Tianmo's sibling and the other had recognized the necessity of befriending Ouyang Zixin, so their envy was fleeting.
"Look, is that moving over there?" Zhao Feiyu initially wanted to ask Ouyang Zixin but realized it was inappropriate given her concentration and turned to Yun Tianying instead.
Yun Tianying squinted slightly and looked carefully before nodding in confirmation. "It is indeed moving, though not very noticeably."
Yun Tianmo had also been paying attention to the situation on that patch of land; after all, he only needed to focus on outputting Mysterious Energy. As for how it would be used, that was up to Ouyang Zixin. For someone who could freely use her Mysterious Energy like this Little Woman, all he needed to do was generously contribute.
"Almost there."
With Yun Tianmo's words, Yun Tianying and Zhao Feiyu watched even more intently. Controlling both the surface and underground soil with just a Small Stone Box and even being able to rescue someone was a spectacle not easily witnessed.
The three remained fixated on the subtly moving land in the Southwest, afraid of missing any details. Meanwhile, Ouyang Zixin continued to struggle with the Small Stone Box; in order to manipulate it and make it obedient, she had to suppress it. If it weren't for borrowing Yun Tianmo's overwhelmingly powerful Mysterious Energy, Ouyang Zixin wasn't sure if she could manage it herself. But now it seemed she only needed to hold on a little longer before this little thing would obediently listen because after she uttered "Release," the Small Stone Box noticeably calmed down in her hands.
Ouyang Zixin's finger resting on the Xiaoshen pattern finally began to move slowly. She first positioned her finger at where Xiaoshen exhaled its breath and injected Mysterious Energy into it before pausing for a moment. Taking a deep breath, she then swiftly dragged her finger across the Small Stone Box as if intending to fling the Xiaoshen pattern into the Mirror Guardian.
With this clean and decisive action, both the Mirror Guardian and the ground in Southwest underwent changes simultaneously—
A gray-brown light illuminated the Mirror Guardian, and upon closer inspection, it formed the character "Release." It quickly faded and then disappeared.
Meanwhile, the ground in the Southwest began to part gently, not as if it were cracked by an earthquake, but rather softly separating. The soil beneath slowly rose, and after the excess dirt and stones settled to the sides, a figure finally emerged.
"Feng Chengxuan is really close to becoming a beggar now," Ouyang Zixin remarked as she withdrew her Mysterious Energy, her body swaying slightly.
