"Stop!"
Ouyang Zixin and Baike were in the midst of an intense battle when a voice suddenly interrupted, attempting to break up their fight.
Baike felt a stir in her heart upon hearing the voice, and a smile involuntarily appeared on her face; it was Tian Ying who had arrived. She pushed aside Ouyang Zixin's attack and quickly retreated. After fighting for a while, she realized that Ouyang Zixin was merely toying with her, so now that Yun Tianying had shown up, she was naturally happy to withdraw.
Yun Tianying had been waiting for a long time without seeing Baike return and thought to himself that this foolish woman wouldn't have taken the opportunity to sneak away while he was injured, would she? If it weren't for her being of some use to him, he wouldn't have risked himself repeatedly or even gotten hurt for her sake. If she just slipped away like this, all his previous efforts would be in vain.
However, he hadn't expected that just a few steps back, he would hear the sounds of fighting, one of whom was Baike. What surprised him even more was that Yun Tianmo was also present, and the one fighting with Baike was the girl Yun Tianmo had taken an interest in.
From a distance, Yun Tianmo saw Yun Tianying approaching slowly and intended to greet him. But then he thought better of it; Ouyang Zixin probably wouldn't welcome Yun Tianying at this moment. As Baike stepped back, Ouyang Zixin recognized that the person who spoke was indeed Yun Tianying and decided not to pursue further attacks. She thought that now there would be no more mistakes; she wanted to see what these people would come up with together.
"Tian Ying." Baike said as she noticed Ouyang Zixin behaving appropriately and not attacking her anymore. She quickly adjusted her appearance and walked towards Yun Tianying with her delicate steps, clearly delighted but feigning a bit of playful reproach as she said, "Why did you come here? Didn't I tell you to rest well?"
Zhao Feiyu felt a chill run down his spine at Baike's sudden change; just moments ago she had been fierce and determined to confront Ouyang Zixin, but now she appeared as a shy little woman, which was truly unsettling.
Seeing Baike approach, Yun Tianying smiled gently and took her outstretched hand, stroking it lightly as he said, "I was worried."
Baike thought about it and realized he was right. She had been out for quite some time. If it hadn't been for running into Yun Tianmo and getting delayed for a moment before being entangled by Ouyang Zixin, she would have returned to Yun Tianying's side much earlier. She wouldn't have made him worry. Despite being injured himself, he still cared about her; this made Bai Kexin feel deeply touched.
"Well, well, King Mo. How does it feel to see your woman in someone else's arms?" Ouyang Zixin seemed to take delight in his misfortune. She moved closer to Yun Tianmo, who was so sweet with the other person that she wondered if they were afraid of blinding the audience with their affection. The main point was that there was still a protagonist standing here. Ignoring him like this probably wasn't a good idea.
At this moment, Yun Tianmo just wanted to give her a hard knock on the head. How could she still be stuck in that dead end? Earlier, she had wanted to toy with Baike. Even humiliating him by knocking him down, she had coldly watched from the sidelines. What made her think he had any special feelings for Baike?
"What’s wrong? Are you so angry that you can’t speak? Should I ask the White Maiden why she would hurt your feelings like this?" Ouyang Zixin feigned sympathy and offered her "kind" suggestion. In truth, she wanted to ask him the same thing, but after seeing Yun Tianmo, she found herself unable to voice her questions.
"I don’t." Yun Tianmo was clever; no matter how much Ouyang Zixin tried to disguise her emotions, he could sense her sadness. Since he had already determined that she was jealous due to a misunderstanding, he wouldn't care about the hurtful words she deliberately spoke.
Meanwhile, Zhao Feiyu glanced left and right, suddenly feeling somewhat out of place. She had roughly figured out what was happening; it turned out Ouyang Zixin thought Baike was involved with Yun Tianmo, which explained her aggressive behavior towards Baike as a way of defending her territory. But now it seemed Baike was also involved with Yun Tianmo's sibling?
A sense of confusion overwhelmed Zhao Feiyu; she felt she must have misunderstood something.
"You don’t? If you don’t, then how could I have seen it!" Ouyang Zixin's voice became slightly sharp as she couldn't help but mock Yun Tianmo coldly. "I know you won’t admit it, but it doesn’t matter; since you’ve experienced this feeling too, I think it’s fair."
After saying this, Ouyang Zixin turned to leave. Although she had sworn to seek justice from Yun Tianmo, when it came down to actually confronting him, she found herself unable to do anything. Since there was nothing she could do, escaping seemed like the best option; as long as she didn’t see him, perhaps the heartache would lessen over time and eventually fade away.
Her feelings for Yun Tianmo had come on suddenly; although they brought excruciating pain, it was better than prolonged suffering.
Yun Tianmo watched Ouyang Zixin prepare to cut through the chaos and couldn’t help but find it amusing. This little woman was so silly that it left him speechless; even though her words were infuriating, he still thought her demeanor was quite adorable.
He reached out and pulled Ouyang Zixin towards him forcefully, a charming smile curling at his lips. This smile made Ouyang Zixin feel dizzy as tears silently slipped down her cheeks...
"You..."
"You smiled at her like this too..."
"Foolish woman."
"Yes, I am foolish, foolishly giving my feelings to you, foolishly preparing to support you both..."
Yun Tianmo found it both amusing and frustrating. Ouyang Zixin had just acted tough towards Baike, but now she seemed as gentle as a little rabbit. He couldn't help but feel pained by her tears; she was a woman he valued, someone who treated him sincerely regardless of status. She deserved to be well protected and not suffer any harm...
"Mo, what is going on with you two?" Yun Tianying approached with Baike's support. Upon seeing Ouyang Zixin's red eyes, he was momentarily taken aback, thinking that they might have come at the wrong time.
Yun Tianmo did not respond to Yun Tianying's question, not even lifting his eyelids. He turned and pulled Ouyang Zixin away.
Yun Tianying smiled lightly and remained silent. It seemed his younger brother was truly affected by the Red Luan Star. His expression resembled that shy look from childhood when someone saw through his secrets.
Baike, on the side, curled her lips in displeasure. "Tianying, you are his brother; how can he ignore your question like this? It's simply disrespectful."
A flash of mockery crossed Yun Tianying's eyes, but he remained good-natured. "That's just his nature; it doesn't matter. But why did you and Miss Ouyang end up fighting?"
