Indeed, upon hearing Feng Chengzhi's words, Feng Chengxuan felt a stir of interest. He had just been angered by the Exiled Nation and Cloud Nation wanting to use Dream Nation's people as vanguard scouts. Now, if the Bai Clan could take on this task, it would indeed be a good thing.
The condition proposed by Baike was essentially a form of allegiance, but she was uncertain. If her father found out that she had made such a promise, she wondered if he would agree. However, she no longer had the energy to worry; she needed to ensure that they agreed to let the Bai Clan enter the Millennium Ruins. As for everything else, that could be dealt with later.
"What do you both think?" Some things didn't need to be explicitly stated; bringing them to light might ruin the beauty of the moment, even though this matter was not inherently beautiful.
Feng Chengxuan and Feng Chengzhi exchanged glances, each seeing eagerness in the other's eyes.
"Where does the White Maiden reside? Perhaps in a few days, once I have arranged everything, I can send someone to notify you," Feng Chengzhi said. He was meticulous in his actions; although he felt tempted, he did not immediately agree but instead asked Baike to wait for news.
At this point, Baike understood that staying any longer was pointless. However, getting this message to Leaving the Royal Palace would not be easy. After thinking for a moment, she said, "If the Fifth Prince has arrangements, please send someone to find a gentleman surnamed Zhai at the Moonlit Pavilion in the west of the imperial capital; he will be able to reach me."
Zhai Yiqi and his sister Zhai Huan had mentioned they would be staying at Moonlit Pavilion when they parted ways with her. If she could get a message to him, it would be possible for her to find a time to come out.
Baike was worried that the Dream Country Prince might have some negative assumptions about her residing at Leaving the Royal Palace, which was why she concealed her address. However, in hindsight, she realized that she had made a mistake.
"What does she mean by that?" Feng Chengxuan exclaimed angrily after Baike left, slapping the back of his chair.
This Baike truly thought too highly of herself; how dare she repeatedly provoke royal authority and casually mention someone as an excuse for her address? What did she mean by that? Did she really think they would do anything to her?
"Eldest Brother, this girl from the Bai Clan is quite cautious. If someone like her leads ten top experts to pave the way for us, it would be excellent," Feng Chengzhi remarked. He was somewhat dissatisfied with Baike concealing her address but thought little of it since someone had volunteered to take on the role of scout.
Feng Chengxuan pondered for a moment, somewhat skeptical about whether the Bai Clan would go so far.
"Eldest Brother, do not worry too much. The Bai Clan likely hopes to gain something from the Millennium Ruins as well." The Bai Clan had remained hidden for many years; no matter how rich their family heritage was, it could eventually deplete. Therefore, their intentions were not entirely unreasonable.
"Fifth Brother. There are countless treasures in the Millennium Ruins. Since the Bai Clan is willing, it wouldn't hurt to give them some. You can arrange this matter," he said, but then hesitated.
"Eldest Brother, don't worry. I will ensure that the top experts from the Bai Clan pave the way for us," Feng Chengzhi replied confidently, patting his chest in assurance. "As for my sister, I’m afraid it will require your persuasion."
Feng Chengxuan thought about it as well. With not much time left before entering the ruins, he needed to persuade his sister to give up on the idea of accompanying them. He stood up and headed towards Feng Tianjiao's room.
Feng Tianjiao was sulking alone in her room. First, her eldest brother had rejected her request to enter the ruins, and then a woman from the Bai Clan showed up, acting as if she were above everyone else, proud as if she were the princess.
The maids noticed that the Eldest Princess was angry and fell silent, wishing they weren't there to serve her.
"Sister," Feng Chengxuan called from outside the door, "open the door."
The maids glanced at the Eldest Princess and saw she did not respond, so they dared not open the door and lowered their heads even further.
Outside, Feng Chengxuan smiled wryly. How could he have been distracted by Baike just now? Now it seemed he would have to spend quite a bit of effort to appease his sister. Softening his voice, he coaxed, "Tianjiao, be good and open the door for your elder brother."
Feng Tianjiao was busy arranging her long hair in front of the mirror, pouting and refusing to speak. She wasn't going to open the door that easily.

Feng Chengxuan lingered outside, chatting aimlessly. Unfortunately, none of his words reached Feng Tianjiao; eventually, she became annoyed enough that she instructed a maid to open the door.
"My dear sister, you finally opened the door." Facing this sister, Feng Chengxuan's temper was remarkably gentle. If one didn't know better, they might think he was treating her like a Fifth Prince instead of how the Crown Prince treated the Eldest Princess with such tenderness and elegance.
The maids were perceptive; without needing instructions, they all retreated and closed the door behind them.
Feng Tianjiao did not look back, only glancing at him through the mirror, remaining silent.
Shaking his head helplessly, Feng Chengxuan approached her from behind, placing his hands on her shoulders and speaking gently, "Sister, it's only because I care about your safety that I don't want you to go."
This sister had been raised by him since childhood, cherished like a precious gem. He would never allow her to engage in any risky activities. He recalled an incident from their childhood when she was playing in the palace garden and accidentally scraped her knee while chasing butterflies. All the guards and maids who were with her had faced his wrath.
Thinking of the unknown dangers within the Millennium Ruins made his heart ache; if she were to get hurt again, he would be devastated.
"Brother, I'm not a porcelain doll." With so many skilled guards accompanying them and some noble youths from Dream Nation also entering, why was it that only she could not go? Feng Tianjiao could not understand; even if she was the Eldest Princess, her brother and the other five were still princes—were their statuses not as noble as hers?
Feng Chengxuan knew his sister would not give up easily and continued to coax her softly, "The Millennium Ruins are not like our Dream Kingdom Palace; there are many dangers inside. I'm doing this for your own good..."
Feng Tianjiao raised her delicate hand to swat his away, turning her head with her phoenix eyes slightly reddened. "Brother, if you truly care about me, then let me go too. Otherwise, you don't love Tianjiao."
"What nonsense! How could I not love you? It's precisely because I love you that I want to protect you. Please be obedient and listen to me."
"No! No way!" Feng Tianjiao covered her ears, refusing to listen any longer. "Get out! Get out! I never want to see you again!"
Hearing this made Feng Chengxuan feel as if his heart was shattering, yet he refused to relent. Fearing for her safety, he gritted his teeth and stepped outside.
